We chose to contact Justin after seeing several of the company’s social media videos - and we’re very glad we did. The installation of our HyperVolt Home 3 Pro charger was a true team effort. Special thanks to: Joanne for the initial contact and smooth engagement, Justin for his professional advice and lightning-fast responses to every question, Gemma for coordinating everything seamlessly, James for handling all the certificates and documentation, and George, an outstanding electrician. It was a privilege to meet you. Thank you for completing both the EICR and the charger installation - and for crawling through the smallest loft imaginable just to keep our interior walls untouched. That level of care speaks volumes. From the wiring in the consumer unit to the finish on the exterior, the attention to detail was impressive. Consistent quality and customer service across the entire team is rare, and this company deserves recognition for it.

Amazing! Everyone at at Justin Bucknell were great from start to finish. Mine was a relatively easy install (EV charger), made complicated by missing/misplaced parts which was completely our fault. Their team were great and weren't phased by the problem. A second visit was scheduled Installed super quick and efficiently. Highly recommend!

I don't do many reviews but JBE stand out. I wanted a Hypervolt EV charger installed. I didn't want any cable showing which mean't working in the roof space with difficult access. I had some poor contact with a few other firms that really did not inspire confidence. I then had a video call with Paul. He was very patient and walked through every detail. I really felt confident to go ahead. Gemma and Jo handled all of the admin. Gemma even managed to arrange an earlier visit than planned. On the day of the install. Paul attended with Simon and carried out the work exactly how he had arranged on the video call. The result is even better than I had hoped for. They set everything up for me and explained how it all worked. They left everything clean and tidy when they left. Thank you guys. My advice - Don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed. They are a great family team.

I contacted the company to obtain a quotation for the supply and installation of a car charger. I received a follow-up call the same day, detailing to the process, had to send photographers of the current set up and then a booking was made for a FaceTime call with Justin. This was very good, with all details explained. Price was extremely competitive, and a date was set for the installation. The engineer arrived on time, took me through what he was going to undertake, with the time frame. Following the installation, to engineer took me through how to set up the charger on our network and use it going forward. I have since had a follow-up call. I have to say they did everything they said they would do without issue, and I am pleased to highly recommend the company.

After a long delay un-looping my supply from my neighbours. I finally scheduled an appointment to fit an EV Charge point at the end of my garden. The delay meant I had to reschedule many times, but the office staff were always cheerful and accommodating. The job wasn't simple. Thick stone walls and a tricky location meant some hard work on a hot day. The standard of workmanship was very high. The electrician friendly, professional and hard working. I am a happy customer who would recommend anyone needing electrical work to give Justin Bucknell Electrical a try.

We used Justin and his team to install an EV charger and some external lights as well as for one or two maintenance jobs around the house. Service was superb from beginning to end in terms of planning, clarity as to cost and what was required and then installation. Our installer (Kieran) was great and took obvious professional pride in what he was doing as well ensuring that everything was left clean and tidy at the end of the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have entered a date for the ‘Work Completed ‘because I am unable to complete the review without doing so BUT: it was not completed by Bucknell. They attended my home on June 14 2023 I was taking delivery of a new Electric Vehicle the next day and he had assured me verbally that I would have a working charger ‘no matter what’. The work was sloppy: loose connections in the fuse box and a poorly connected wire inside the actual unit that needed a further electrician's visit a few months later because it had failed. They left debris where they had drilled and also in the back of the fridge, which they had not covered. They smoked on the premises, filled the house with the smell and left butts in the drive. Having taken twice as long as he stated during the survey, they downed tools at 17:00 and refused to return unless I paid extra. They claimed I needed an Earth for the boiler [In unnecessarily fiddling about with it we found we had no hot water afterwards & a broken panel in the kitchen] but I have since been told by more than one professional electrician and a surveyor there was no regulatory necessity for this. Indeed there had already been an EV Charger fitted by the previous owners of the property. When I tried to complain he became very unpleasant and this has now dragged on for over a year. I wish I had never heard the name Justin Bucknell and, in my opinion, people, especially vulnerable or pensioners, should think carefully before considering employing him.

We take customer feedback seriously, but we strongly refute the claims made in this review, which are completely unfounded and unsupported by any evidence. We made multiple attempts to resolve this matter amicably. Initially, you did not raise any issues except an unwillingness to have the earthing requirement explained to you or carried out. You then ignored our correspondence until we were compelled to take legal action and hand-deliver a Letter Before Action (LBA) for the balance that you withheld. Only at that point did you appoint a solicitor to respond on your behalf. We thoroughly addressed all concerns raised—by the way none of which had ever been brought to our attention prior to the legal notice—and you have still provided no evidence to support your claims. Since then, both you and your solicitor have failed to respond to our follow-up correspondence, probably because your solicitor has advised you that you have no grounds, or has noted that you have provided no evidence or addressed the matter in a reasonable manner. Despite following the advice and procedures outlined by Which? Trusted Traders, you have continued to ignore our communications while instead taking the time to leave this misleading review. Our team follows strict professional conduct policies. We do not smoke on clients’ properties, nor do we leave debris behind. We also quoted and carried out the agreed scope of work. Any additional requirements—such as the earthing, which was a necessary safety measure—were discussed transparently, and you agreed to the quote and our terms and Conditions. If other electricians have since told you otherwise, we respectfully disagree and again no evidence was provided by you to disprove our advice. At no point were we ‘unpleasant’—we simply upheld our professional stance when faced with unreasonable demands. If you had legitimate concerns, we would have been happy to address them properly at the time. However, your attitude and conduct throughout this process have been completely unacceptable and grossly unfair, making it impossible to reach a reasonable resolution. You have instead tried your best to discredit our business and this is not acceptable. While we always strive for customer satisfaction, we will not accept false claims that misrepresent our work ethic or integrity. Our many positive reviews and longstanding reputation in the industry speak for themselves.
