From the moment I made the initial enquiry on the website contact form through to post work questions, Keay Roofing was excellent. The scope of the work was relatively small - parapet wall to be coped with lead, dormer and flat roof repair and aerial removal. The requirement was a surprise need as it was discovered as part of a large planned project but Keay was able to visit to assess the work, quote and complete the work in 2 weeks. A job well done.

The roofers were polite, professional and informative. Communication with Richard and the office was clear and excellent. Work Carried out: Strip of up to 8 ridge tiles, install lead saddle over top of top course Then reinstall ridge tiles where nail holes are showing so there is sufficient cover. Wire brush two valleys to the rear and install fresh mortar mix either side of both valleys. Lift one or two ridge to rear addition and relay with fresh mortar mix. Reline guttering and add additional clips, connections and corner section. Removal of chimney.

In the most torrential storm, we discovered a new water feature in the bathroom. Though showering while on the loo has its advantages, we really felt it was better to remove it. Local guy shot up a ladder, told my the membrane was shot, and offered to take £8k from me to remove and replace the roof. Thought I'd get a quote from Keay. Keay's guy turned up, educated me about membranes, pointed out a few little faults, and came back with a quote less than 10% of the local guy's quote. A few days later the Keay guys turned up, did their thing, left the place immaculate, and Bingo, no more natural rain-water showers. The office team were very good to deal with and super-flexible to to work around our work schedules and get the job done. While I hope never to see them again, if I have any more roof problems they'd be the first I'd turn to.

We had a water leak into our first floor from the roof under the dormer. The leak happened only during a heavy downpour. Being a new build within 10 years had NHBC cover, we were advised to get a roofer to do an investigative report and quote for the fix. Keay Roofing was in recommended roofer near our location we picked based on the reviews. On contact, we were explained how to request a quote and the next steps. Once we were given the appointment for an initial assessment, they confirmed that the quote would be provided only after a thorough inspection and gave a quote for a detailed investigation. They provided the date for scaffolding and inspection and updated us when there were changes in the plan. They provided a detailed report after the inspection. The NHBC assessor was quite happy with the detailed notes and pictures provided during the inspection. With approval to fix the issue, the team did an excellent job of fixing the problems and addressing potential future issues. We had the work reviewed by the NHBC surveyor, who praised the quality of work done quality. I recommend them for the quality and standards of communication.

Richard and his team were excellent, first carrying out a review and then quoting with a full description of the remedial work required with illustrative photographs. Appointments were made by the efficient office team and the guys on site did a great job, explaining everything as they went along and leaving the site immaculate. The work was concluded exactly in time. The online quotation and invoicing system was also impressive and part of an overall professional organisation. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will be asking them back in the spring to do some less urgent repairs.

I reached out to Richard the owner after I was told by our house’s previous owner that he used their services. He refused to answer my questions with regards to when the work was done and on which roof he did the work. He was very rude and kept asking for a survey fee to answer these questions. I wouldn’t advise to work with this company because they say the warranty applies for 10 years but they wouldn’t deliver on their words or work.

Richard Keay and his team were helpful and solving leaks to a flat roof and parapet walls. Nice to see quality lead work and professional management of the job. The work over several days was carried out on time and the site was left clean and tidy. Good to have work carried out by people who obviously know what they are doing !

An overall good experience with Keay Roofing Services Ltd. After approaching 3 other roofing contractors over the last 18 months to carry out maintenance on our roof, including replacing broken tiles, repairing leaking gutters and painting the chimney stack I was impressed with Keay roofing, they promptly sent out someone to survey the work, an estimate was sent by email the same day & on acceptance, we booked them in to complete the work 6 days later. This compared favourably with other companies who took much longer, one didn’t even bother to send an estimate another despite acceptance of their quote, never actually turned up. So full marks to Keay roofing! The chimney stack was painted to a high standard & broken tiles were replaced. My first issue was that within a few hours of completion, I noticed a broken roof tile in the immediate area the roofers had been working on near the top of the roof, so I had to contact Keay roofing again & opted for the more complete solution of removing the ridge tiles to replace the broken tile and reset the ridge tiles, whilst the 2nd team were working on the roof, I noticed some other deteriorated tiles which were replaced, we were very happy with the 2nd team. A gutter joint on the low garage roof continued leaking & I have since successfully repaired that myself. Overall Keay Roofing is an excellent company that I would happily recommend. But for the little niggles mentioned, I’d have given them 5 stars, hence my 4 star rating.

We had water ingress into the kitchen through the extractor hood each time we had heavy rain. Keay Roofing came quickly to diagnose the problem then returned the following week to perform the repairs. Everyone involved was pleasant to deal with and did a very good job, repairs being completed with half a day. There has been no further leakage despite recent very heavy rain. I have no hesitation in recommending the company.

A request was made for help and advice in the first instance. Keay Roofing Services responded by coming out and assessing the problem ( Leaking roof due to deteriorated underfelt). A price was agreed and a date fixed. Due to very adverse weather conditions the date was revised. At all times I was advised. The day arrived when the work was to be undertaken. The crew arrived on time and erected the scaffolding and left. The Keay's crew arrived on time and achieved the work in 6 hours. The site was left clean . The scaffolding was removed a couple of days later. Job done.

We enquired about a quote, received a prompt response and an appointment was booked very quickly. The inspection report came through promptly, was detailed and accompanied by photos which we found really helpful. Amanda in Office Enquiries was very helpful and friendly.

Having suffered at the hands of several other roofers poor quality of work I was recommended Keay Roofing by a friend. Richard came out within the day for an initial inspection and recommended a soak test to assertion the mysterious source of our aggressive and stressful leak. By the process of elimination he diagnosed the issue promptly and had a team out a few days later. This team included a gas safe engineer to reroute our boiler flue. Richard handled all the coordination of this which was amazing. The work was completed on time, on budget and to a very high standard. Richard worked with his team in a polite efficient and calm way which helped us tremendously in these works which had been previously incredibly stressful. The clean up was thorough, you wouldn't know they'd been... unless you have a thing for roofs and can see the beautiful tile overlay we now have. All paperwork, invoicing and payment was painless and the office team were kind and understood our concerns when we first enquired. I will only use Keay Roofing from now on and will recommend to all and any that mention roof issues in the future. Thank you so much

Thank you so much for your help with our super leaky roof after the recent downpours, especially as we had been been let down and riped off by previous roofer. Prompt, efficient, honest... you're a diamond amongst the rough. 5 star would happily recommend.

Keay have now done two roofing jobs for me (repairing damage caused by both storm and ageing) and I must say that it greatly relieved any personal stress to be in the hands of a company so professional. The quoting process was timely and thorough (Dan, Ron and Richard); they emailed itemised plans, with photographs and costings. The two-man repair team (Dan and Motlib) were prompt, their work was outstanding (with photographs to prove it), and they cleaned up immaculately. Beyond that, they and everyone I dealt with, was helpful and friendly (notably Amanda in the office). I certainly would recommend them to anyone needing roofing work.

Keay came round after a number of quotes and I've been very happy with the result. They were flexible, responsive, kept me in the loop throughout, and just obviously a capable team of professionals also friendly, but not phony. I had the flat roof refelted and the chimney stack re-flushed. 10/10, top notch.

The chap that came round to do the survey was nice enough. However, he did the survey of our first floor maisonette at ground level ! Consequently the work he recommended would not have solved the problems. As he didn't go up a ladder and closely look at what needed doing his company was unsuccessful in being given the work

Richard arrived same morning to quote for the work. The team arrived punctually on the agreed date (13th July 2016). They worked well together and did a really good job.
