MPHS have been our go-to plumbers for a number of years now and have always been very helpful. After scraping through its last service our trusty old boiler finally became beyond economical repair (it fell to pieces during the service). Keith and the team helped recommend the best option for the size of the house and were able to get the new one fitted and working within a few days, no cold shower for me! All of the costs and labour were outlined in the original quote so no hidden extras once the invoice arrived. The work was taken care of by Nik and Matt who were both very approachable and very professional despite my endless questions, all of the work was completed safely and with masks and gloves being used whilst they were in the house due to the current pandemic. Keith has already been in touch to help sort the warranty arrangements should any issues occur. would recommend to all.

Millhouses Plumbing and Heating Services upgraded our heating system with a new boiler, new radiators and replaced old pipe-work. Nik and Callum were brilliant throughout keeping us informed of the work at the end of each day as they went along; we found this helpful and reassuring. They went the extra mile to ensure that we had heating in part of the house over the weekend which was particularly important at such a cold time of year and with young children in the house. The work was completed within the time-frame that had originally been agreed despite us adding on extra work from the original quote. There was a small leak in the old pipework that was found after the installation; they returned promptly to fix this and ensure the system was all in order. Overall, we are extremely happy with the final installation and would recommend this company for any such work.

Keith really listened to what we wanted to achieve by the replacement and relocation of our boiler and discussed a variety of solutions before coming up with a really good plan. As I work at home I wanted to be able to control the heating in different parts of the house so he installed the new Worcester Bosch boiler and zoned the house so that it is controlled by two separate radio thermostats. Keith directed us to a near neighbour who had recently had a boiler and new bathroom installed by MHPS and suggested we go talk to them and see their work first hand, which we did. The team that removed our old boiler and installed the new one were great. To my delight, when the bill came it was £100 lower than the quote because the team had not needed to do as much flue work as anticipated. All paperwork was supplied and a copy of the registered guarantee arrived from Worcester Bosch the next day.

My 80 year old mum called MPHS when her toilet overflow was leaking. They came out, replaced a washer in the ballvalve at a cost of £108. When the overflow continued to leak they came out again, this time replacing the ballvalve and connector at an additional cost of £122.40. The overflow continued to leak even though my mum had paid MPHS a total of £230.40 to repair this. I called in another plumber who completed the repair in one visit for £45. This trader does not deserve any stars on this review, but i was unable to leave my review without giving a star rating

I had a serious leak in a place with difficult access. The trader could have made a case for an expensive rebuild. The first, simple, solution he tried was, unfortunately unsuccessful and ultimately further work was required but I was wholly satisfied with the result and grateful that the cost had been kept to a minimum.

Had a new central heating boiler (and timer/thermostat controller) fitted, the old hot water tank removed as it was no longer needed, and changes to the pipework. Chose them as it was the most suitable and most impressive out of three quotes (it was the middle price of the three), included a more powerful boiler than the other two quotes, which I liked, and offered me the names and phone numbers of previous customers who I phoned for references, which were good. Was very good work including good advice and design - they seem to very much know what they are doing. He said "don't pay until you're satisfied" but I made the mistake of not taking up this offer: I paid as soon as the work had been completed even though some of the holes in the wall hadn't been tidied up on the final day because they had to leave promptly to pick up children from school etc, and it then took a long time to get them back to sort it out - I probably should have not paid until everything had been finalised, as he had said. Subsequently they have done annual services of the boiler and system, safety checks of my gas cooker, a repair to the gas cooker, and re-plumbing of the washing machine. They have given helpful expert advice above and beyond the work they have done. Also I once phoned early on a Sunday morning because of a boiler breakdown under warranty and got a quick response. Have just occasionally had problems with them not turning up when agreed and not being able to make contact to find out what was going on - or not getting responses to requests for work - phone messages and emails not being answered, or promises of getting back to me not being fulfilled unless I keep trying - and it took several years and several requests before I managed to get the Building Regulations Compliance certificate for the boiler installation. This admin side would be my only criticism. I put it down to the fact that most plumbers tend to be hard to pin down, and MPHS are much less bad in this respect than many other tradespeople. It hasn't happened often and usually I get very helpful responses. I have recommended them to friends who have had significant work done and have never experienced any such problems - the friends have all spoken very highly of the work they have done.
