Run by husband and wife duo, Rebecca and Mike Lacey, we're on a mission to provide confidence in the plumbing and heating trade.

As the MOST WANTED engineers in Bury, we pride ourselves on our quality work and qualified staff to complete domestic or commercial plumbing and heating installations, servicing or repairs.

We only fit leading brand boilers, including Worcester Bosch and Ideal, and as Worcester Accredited Installers, we provide up to 12 years guarantee on all Worcester Bosch boiler installations.

Mike called to give us an initial consultation because we needed our boiler changing due to it's age. He fully explained all our options and we decided to replace our boiler with the new updated model as we previously had. He sent a comprehensive estimate for a new Worcester Bosch boiler which we accepted as we thought it very reasonable. The installation was carried out by Baz who was very professional, kept the work area tidy and removed all the rubbish after installation. He took time to answer any queries we had and fully explained how everything worked. We were very happy with the installation which was done quickly and effectively within the day. I would strongly recommend Mike and his team including the office staff who were alway helpful with any queries and would happily use their services again.

I had lost faith after failure of installing water pump system: 2017 which stopped working under five years and next one in spring 2019 under three years. Furthermore the frustration of no response to resolve the problem. I was recommend Lacey Plumbing and Heating by a colleague. I was anxious. I observed that there was a thorough assessment on their first visit by Matt to high standard of conducting the job on 25 and 26 May 2022. Bez had a huge job to first sort out the shocking pipe work which was like Blackpool roller coaster to installing a new system: indirect unvented pressurised water tank. He ensured that the job was done in a least disruptive way and considered my needs. Myself and my home was treated with utmost respect. I was explained everything upon the completion of the job and the place was left so clean that one would not know such a big job had been conducted over the two days. My faith has been restored and already enjoyed a shower after so many months. Thank you so much.

Decided to have my 19 year old boiler replaced after having parts replaced over the years and more recently after it sprang a leak! But who do I choose and can I trust them? Contacted Lacey Plumbing In Bury after reading reviews and having quotes from other companies. Mike (The Big Boss) came to survey the job and what struck me was his calm demeanor. He explained fully what the best options for me were and wasn't in the least bit pushy! Some days later I received the quote online by Becky (The Real Boss) with a full breakdown including costs. I felt instinctively drawn towards Lacey Plumbing and decided to have them complete the installation and I wasn't disappointed! Danny (The Bearded Plumber) came a day or so before to put chemical cleaner into the system, Then on Tuesday 15th February Baz (The Special one) arrived as arranged at 8am and promptly got stuck in dismantling the old boiler. By 4.30pm the spanking new boiler was in and up and running, and the final checks were being completed, Baz explained everything about the operation of the boiler and RF control unit. He worked tirelessly and like a Trojan throughout the day, explaining everything he was doing (and why) at every stage. To say I'm pleased is something of an understatement! If you are in need of a new boiler look no further than Lacey Plumbing & Heating, you won't be disappointed and you may like the interest-free payment options to spread the cost. We had Danny the plumber visit us on the 4th January to do our annual boiler service and also a gas fire and hob safety check. He arrived at 8am on the dot and was gone at 9am. And in that time he was very professional, friendly, clean and efficient - as always. We've used Lacey's since they installed our whole new boiler system and radiators back in January 2018 and they are as they claim 'Bury's Most Wanted'! A highly recommeded local firm.

After 16 years our boiler had come to the end of its life. Within a few hours of reporting our problem Matt came out first to review and connect to the immersion heater enabling us to have hot water until the new system could be installed. Thank you Matt for your quick out of hours response and connection to much needed hot water. The following day Baz arrived to further assess and evaluate advising a new boiler. Happy to follow his expert advice I opted for a Worcester Bosch which was then installed 2 days later. From excellent customer service and support from the office team (Rebecca and Romaine) and impeccable advice, a speedy and tidy installation from Baz I am delighted with the professionalism and caring support from this great family business. Created incredible en-suite from scratch

From the outset Matt from Lacey’s created an incredible vision for my new en suite and set about making it happen. It was a complicated project as the en-suite had to be created from scratch, carving of space from an adjoining bedroom with new walls and drainage. The project involved innovative design features like a sliding glass entry door making effective use of space and natural light in addition to adding to the wow factor. And as for the finishing touches Scott from Lacey’s put great thought and precision into the plumbing/final fix to ensure there were no compromises between functionality of the en-suite and look and feel of the space. People make the real difference and Matt was an excellent project manager who only works with the best. He set high standards and was uncompromising in achieving that. Some of the trades were supplied from Luke Bennet Property Management, BH Tiling and Fulton Tiling. Everyone working on the project was top notch in terms of skills, work ethic and passion to achieve the best possible outcome. Everyone turned up when they should and worked tirelessly all day from 8am. Unforeseen challenges were managed with minimal to no hassle to me. The finished result is nothing short of spectacular - beyond anything I could have designed / created without Lacey’s help This is my second major bathroom design project with Lacey’s - both delivered outstanding results. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I have used Lacey for the past two years to carry out the annual service on my boiler. During this time they have also fitted new radiators and replaced a kitchen sink tap. The latest job has involved replacing the boiler with a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler. The work was carried out in a very professional but friendly manner by Mike Lacey on the site visit, Rebecca and Romain in the office keeping me informed and not least by Baz the engineer who fitted the boiler.

I can’t praise this company highly enough and was so pleased to find them through the Which? Trusted Traders scheme. 1. Ours was a difficult job. We had a 50-year old outside boiler housed in a brick structure, our radiators were all ancient and we wanted them replacing, and the floors in our house were Kardean-covered, making it difficult to access the pipework. When Mike came to do the assessment I was very impressed by his ‘can do’ attitude. Whereas other companies had been hesitant about the difficulties faced, he pointed out the ways that these problems could be overcome and immediately inspired our confidence. 2. The office staff were extremely helpful. Romaine dealt efficiently with all our calls and queries, responding quickly, and managing to arrange for the job to be done before we went on holiday. 3. The engineers Jamie and Danny did a superb job. They always arrived early and stayed focussed on the job throughout the day. They were friendly, professional, and managed to keep the disruption to a minimum. Everything was kept clean and tidy, and they explained the various processes that they had to complete so that we were kept in the picture. 4. We now have an efficiently functioning central heating system with thermostatically controlled radiators and a Worcester combi boiler conveniently housed in our garage. All the materials from the old boiler have been disposed of and the brickwork repaired. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody.

Lacey's came to replace a shower unit. When it was discovered that a joist in the floor was loose they arranged for a joiner (reasonable priced) to make the repair & moved their work schedule to make sure we were not without a shower for too long. 'Scott' even came & worked when he was ill. Very impressed. Will use again.

A really helpful team led by Mike who are responsive and complete work to a high standard. Lacey Plumbing came highly recommended to us & we weren't disappointed. We had a full central heating installation & Mike scheduled the work to include a plasterer to make good. We also had a gas fire safety tested. Baz took under 4 days to do the majority of the work but accommodated other jobs being done on our house at the same time & came back to complete when required. Communication from the office team & customer service has been excellent throughout & we'd like to say thank you for all the help, advice & product and installation aftercare too. Although the replacement of our balanced flue boiler with a Combo Boiler seemed to go well, within 18 hours we noticed a leak stain on the ceiling below one of the radiators. Whilst they attended quickly and resolved the issue I believe it should have not happened. Plus they did not reinstate pipework insulation that they had to remove for the installation. Also when we had a small leak 5 months after the installation on the same radiator as before they refused to investigate unless we paid a call out fee "saying if it had anything to do with our work you would be knee in water by now".

I was filling my boiler up 10 times a day as it was losing pressure and the insurance company I was with sent their plumber four times to inspect the pipe work which entailed pulling up the floor boards in every room but couldn't find a leak. We recently used Lacey Plumbing Ltd for the first time to renovate our en-suite. We were very impressed with how the company conducted themselves from start to finish. We could tell from the onset that they are a well organised team. We decided to alter a couple of aspects from the initial quote, this was no issue and Lacey were happy to accommodate the alterations. Once work started the team kept us fully updated with what work was to commence the following day and who would be arriving and at what time. There was a hiccup from our side as the shower door we ordered had been sent with the wrong hanging kit. Lacey were brilliant and worked with us in order to complete the bathroom as soon as possible. The standard of work was beyond what we had hoped for and every detail was checked prior to installation. We would like to personally thank Mike, Barry, Rebecca and Scott for the commitment to the project, we are extremely satisfied with the finished product. Pity we cannot share any photos on this review. We will certainly be using Lacey again in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone requiring any work.

Turned up when they said they would, worked extremely hard to fit a complete new central heating system where none existed previously and left the house clean and tidy at the end. They were always polite and pleasant and willing to explain things, the office staff always made time.

From initial visit, quotation and fitting a very good service. They fitted everything as best as was possible to ensure no problems or issues. The fitter worked through the day with no real breaks to ensure all fitted and in good working order. Cleared up any mess made and actually touched up a few areas that were not really part of his work Would recommend to others and already have done so.

We had our new boiler fitted by Lacey Plumbing & Heating Ltd. The fitter Barry covered the whole area where he was working to avoid damage to carpet etc. The fitting to avoid damage to carpet etc. The fitting was done in one day and he went into detail how everything worked. We found Lacey to be very efficient in our dealings with them and the service from quoting to completion was excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody.

I had a central heating system all replaced. Removed old back boiler and replaced with a new combi boiler- 7 year warranty Worcester I'm very happy. Engineera were clean and tidy. Arrived on time each day and didn't drink too much of my coffee! Would recommend.

New Worcester Bosch boiler. 25 year old boiler being replaced as crack in the expansion tank. I got 3 quotes and he was actually the cheapest. Happy with the work. He took a full 8-6 day and was clean and tidy throughout. There was a slight drip on filter of the boiler but they came back within a couple of days and all is resolved now.
