The installation was in a 1970’s 3 storey mid-terrace ex-council property. We needed to replace a 1970’s gas boiler and 3 radiators and knew nothing about heat pumps. LGS designed a new system for this house and our needs - we’re retired, so often at home. We had existing solar thermal on the roof and wanted to remove gas from the house for environmental reasons. We are of modest means and cost was important. We had already insulated the loft and when we had obtained the new energy certificate and LGS applied for the £5000 government grant which was very helpful. The installation started on the agreed day and took four days. It was an upheaval, but much less so than we anticipated. Three or four people worked in the house but they could not have been more pleasant, quiet and considerate. They tidied up each day, equipment was safely stowed and everybody was punctual. All the trades were excellent at talking to us about what they were doing and what they needed us to do. We believe the work to have been done to a very high standard. The office staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with. The work, which is still under guarantee, stayed within budget, and the billing was clear and accurate. LGS offers annual servicing and we will do this. We are delighted with the result: the house is comfortable and maintains the set temperature and we have seven new radiators. The running costs are much as we anticipated. The heat pump is quieter and better looking than anticipated.

I am very satisfied with the work carried out by LGS Plumbing and Heating. The gas supply was re run from the meter, a new boiler was fitted, and the radiators were individually flushed by hand. The plumbers and electricians turned up punctually at the agreed times and the work was carried out to the agreed schedule and budget. They communicated with me throughout the duration of the job and were very friendly and helpful. Nothing went wrong, and the whole job went very smoothly. My bungalow was left clean and tidy at the end of each day's work.

Heat pump install

LGS installed an air source heat pump for us and we're delighted with the work. Ben initially did a survey, specced the system and provided advice. An install date was set. The system took 3 days to install and involved: - Removing existing gas boiler, cold water tank vented cylinder etc - Installing electrics, new cylinder, Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump, smart thermostat and all associated plumbing to get it up and running. - Power flush and system test etc. I was impressed by the team who were very courteous and explained everything really well. I think the system was good value for money, especially taking into account the Boiler Upgrade Scheme / gov grant which covered around half of the cost.

Kevin did an excellent job especially as the job was complicated. There was no accessible stopcock and the soakaway was rusted and needed to be mechanically cut away. Kevin had to go the extra mile and a bit more, and did so competently and efficiently. He also gave us useful advice as to how to turn off the water from the street etc. Very reliable and personable. We will certainly use him again and recommend him to anyone.

Following upgrade of mains water pipe to house, LGS installed a new solar cylinder and pipework, ironing out any problems caused by new pressure. This is the third time we have used LGS and we have found them to be very professional, reliable and courteous.

Work was a repair a leak due to ball valve in tank and was repaired effectively by the engineer with no problems. The engineer was polite and completed the job quickly. We have had no further issues on this I am happy to recommend this company

Dificult radiator installation requiring chasing pipes into wall and running from upstairs. Used LGS many times and they are always on time, do the job quickly, and don't make a mess. Engineers are polite and friendly.
