About

I am Lloyd Hallowell, the head electrician of Lloyd Hallowell Electrics.

I have over 10 years of experience. I come from a family of electricians and used to be an employee at my brothers electrical company Hallowell Electrical Engineers Ltd whereby I carried out my apprenticeship studying 2 days a week at an electrical college and working 3 days a week.

In 2013, on completion of my apprenticeship, I decided to start my own electrical business. My company has now been flourishing for a number of years and has been gaining rave reviews from customers, which can be found by searching for my company on google.

I'm also a registered NICEIC and Trustmark Approved Contractor. Over the last 6 years I have built up a solid reputation as a friendly and trustworthy electrician. I provide an efficient and reliable service to customers in London and its surrounding areas. My work covers domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installation work.

Lloyd had the unenviable task of clearing up a cowboy electrician's mess. He did so thoroughly and without any teeth-sucking or complaint. He is efficient, tidy and meticulous and he did the job. I had been let down by 2 electicians prior to Lloyd, it was a relief to find someone with integrity. I shall use him again.

I found Lloyd on Checkatrade and after having a few different electricians come out, I decided to go with him straight away. He knows a huge amount about electrics and is very meticulous in everything he does. He’s super tidy, ordered, and skilled with all things electrics. He has excellent communication skills and always updates you when he is on his way to your job. Lloyd is a pleasure to have around he’s very friendly, kind, and interesting (with great taste in music!). Look forward to having him come back again whenever more work is needed! Super happy with all his work, can't recommend him highly enough.

Lloyd was hired to install new light fittings throughout the whole of our home, as well as a new bathroom extractor fan and a radiator timer. From initial engagement via an easy to use booking system through to completion, Lloyd was at all times very professional and knowledgeable. We were notified in advance and on the day, time of arrival, and could track route to ensure we were at home when he arrived. All fittings were installed to an exacting standard even when having to replace poorly installed bathroom lights and an extractor fan previously fitted by a rogue builder. No job was too big or small. Lloyd was meticulous in tidying up, despite there being little mess and left our home clean. He also very much respected our request to wear a face mask at all times. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Lloyd again and would definitely recommend him to friends.

We had 5 light fittings that needed replacing, all slightly different. The work was completed properly and tidily, and within the time frame offered. They were honest about what could be done and how, and both electriciatians were courteous and friendly. The lights look great! Would not hesitate to use this company again.

I used Lloyd and his electricians to re-do an EICR certificate I had previously obtained from another company who then stopped replying to my queries and emails when I challenged it. Lloyd was exceptionally helpful and took time to talk me through everything on the phone and discuss options in detail before I had even committed to using his services. Then throughout the work he was professional and friendly, always available to talk things through if I had questions.

The circuit breaker for my cooker tripped, causing a smell of burning plastic from near the oven. After resetting the circuit breaker, the hob and oven came on again and I couldn't find a fault with either of the appliances. Given the smell, however, I was reluctant to keep using them as I worried that there could be a problem with the wiring to the hob/oven or elsewhere in my flat. One of Lloyd's team came the next day and thoroughly investigated (this included checking out the circuit breaker, pulling out the oven switch, and pulling out and reinstalling both the oven and hob). He didn't find any problem and reassured me that it was OK to continue using the appliances. Best of all, Lloyd explained that there is no call out fee and that they would only charge if work was required to repair a fault, which didn't turn out to be the case. I'm so glad I was able to get the issue resolved without paying for an expensive electrician visit and very grateful to them for the reassurance and for this policy.

I’ve used Lloyd three or four times now to fix faults that other bad electricians have either created or failed to find. He’s 100% considerate. Professional. Courteous and reliable and his quality of work is amazing. Good booking system and great communicator. Cannot recommend him enough.

Re Oven installation From a speedy response to my original enquiry, through a very efficient booking system, to the wonderfully helpful visiting electrician I was totally impressed by the service provided by Lloyd Hallowell. The oven installation wasn’t entirely straightforward thanks to the existing wiring, but Alfred quickly resolved the problem and we now have a smart new cooker. All this at 8pm on a Friday evening! Great communication and excellent service at a very good price. I’d certainly use this company again and would happily recommend it to others.

Lloyd was great. The work involved replacing five kitchen/bathroom lights and fitting a new external light. The estimate and booking process was all done by email and online and was very transparent. Lloyd arrived within the time period he gave and the tracker he sent was helpful to get an exact time. The estimate was for fixed amounts rather than on a time-spent basis but he did not rush the work and was very tidy. He was very personable without that stopping him getting on with the job. The invoice was exactly per the estimate.
