About

I am Lloyd Hallowell, the head electrician of Lloyd Hallowell Electrics.

I have over 10 years of experience. I come from a family of electricians and used to be an employee at my brothers electrical company Hallowell Electrical Engineers Ltd whereby I carried out my apprenticeship studying 2 days a week at an electrical college and working 3 days a week.

In 2013, on completion of my apprenticeship, I decided to start my own electrical business. My company has now been flourishing for a number of years and has been gaining rave reviews from customers, which can be found by searching for my company on google.

I'm also a registered NICEIC and Trustmark Approved Contractor. Over the last 6 years I have built up a solid reputation as a friendly and trustworthy electrician. I provide an efficient and reliable service to customers in London and its surrounding areas. My work covers domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installation work.

Lloyd sorted out our electricity failure in the kitchen - so boiler, fridge, all the most important stuff. He came same day, on time, was friendly, positive and didn't leave until he had fixed it, even though it took nearly 5 hours. He's a star and I heartily recommend him.

We found Lloyd through online recommendations and can't recommend him enough. Top quality work by a truly top quality chap. He was careful to know exactly what needed doing ahead of time so showed up with all necessary items and a well prepared plan for doing things right. He repaired faulty wiring and casings along our exterior walkway lights and also discovered and repaired some dangerously dodgy wiring in our interior hallway lights. In both cases he added extra measures to protect our systems from future damage or faults. His very reasonable costs were agreed before we booked the appointment and we were billed exactly what was pre-approved. Professional, tidy, trustworthy and a completely impressive van as well. Only mention that last bit as it's proof that he has carefully considered every element of his business and its top quality at every turn.

My storage heater had broken and I had tried all home remedies, as I am on a limited budget. Lloyd made himself available super quickly when he found out I had no heating in the depths of winter. He was friendly and approachable. Explained everything and tried to find a cost effective solution rather than jumping to full heating replacement, as 3 others had done. He actually spent time diagnosing the problem and it was a simple plug socket replacement, saving hundreds of pounds. I cannot recommend this man highly enough.

I decided to use Lloyd after all his positive reviews on Which Trusted Trader. His booking system is a joy to use and allows you to select a time that suits and if something comes up it is easy to change. Lloyd uses real time mapping to show you where he is on the day so that you know what time he is going to arrive. Lloyd is very friendly and tidy. The job was done quickly and a full estimate of works was produced with Lloyd specifying what was mandatory and what was optional and a full breakdown of the costs. Lloyd missed one small part of the survey but quickly and at no cost put it right. I would thoroughly recommend Lloyd

We hired Lloyd after seeing his van on our street and reading the many five star reviews online. He came to have a look at our kitchen and then sent us a very detailed quote in the space of a couple of days (we needed to replace our range cooker with a new oven and a new induction hob). Booking a slot via his online form was very easy and extremely satisfying because it meant receiving notifications and alerts. On the day he showed up on time (we were even able to track his live location via WhatsApp) and wearing appropriate PPE. He worked for roughly three hours and was extremely tidy and efficient. After installing the appliances he tested them with us. Could be happier and we will definitely use him again.

I found Lloyd through Which Trusted Traders and was very happy I did. I had and under-the-counter kitchen light that needed replacing and a bedroom dimmer switch that needed replacing; minor work but annoying! Contacting Lloyd, showing him what was wrong via WhatsApp and setting up an appointment online was all really easy and communication was great. He arrived on time and was great to deal with. It turned out that it was harder to replace my kitchen lights that he had thought it would be because of work that had been done badly before... but he found a solution. Dimmer switch replacement very straightforward. A lovely guy too, would absolutely recommend him. Also, when he could not replace my lights as planned, he did not charge me for the lights he'd brought with him.

The work was to bring a rental flat up to EICR standard, which involved remedial work and a new Distribution Board. It was done to an agreed schedule and price on the agreed date. Mr Hallowell made things very clear. He liaised well with the Tenant, who was very impressed and reported that all had been left clean and tidy.

Lloyd is NICEIC registered and has demonstrated his expertise on multiple occasions. He's helped me with a few jobs and is my go-to person when I need an expert. He's happy to take his time to explain his work and check things over to ensure the customer is satisfied and the installation is up to scratch. Easy to get in touch with and handy online booking forms. He's very popular, so need to book in advance!
