In the midst of corona crisis our power shower stopped working. I contacted Lucas by email and within 48 hours I received and accepted a quote. The work was completed quickly, efficiently and wthin the time scales set. The plumber was very aware of the need to social distance. I would definitely recommend this company for politeness, efficiency and speed of service.

I employed the company to identify and repair a leak on the hidden services between two back to back bathrooms. The pipe work is boxed in and partially tiled with no access into the void. The engineer had the necessary equipment to investigate the location of the leak with the minimum disruption and damage to the property. He was efficient and courteous. From the first office contact to completion of work the company was most professional. Especially as the work was expedited during the lockdown. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. I am a retired Chartered Engineer so recognise a good building services company.

Four and a half years ago, the day before I was going on holiday, I came home to find my boiler leaking water. I was recommended to phone Lucas Plumbing & Heating and they came within a short space of time and dealt with the immediate problem. A quote was prepared and emailed and a new boiler was fitted upon my return from holiday. The quote included 3 years free servicing. Recently I needed a new valve; I phoned on the Friday and was allocated the first call on the following Monday. Lucas Plumbing & Heating are the nicest people to deal with and all the engineers I have encountered are very professional and respectful of my home. I understand from others that they are well respected in the trade.

Boiler was leaking and I was told that it would be better for me to have a new boiler as existing one is 8 years old. First visit was for a quote for a new boiler but engineer said it could be repaired and there was a lot more life left in the boiler. I appreciated not to be persuaded to have a new boiler and the fact that Lucas plumbing were prepared to repair it, thus saving me a lot of money as I am an OAP. Visits were on time and the work was completed satisfactorily.

I could not get my underfloor heating to work. Brian from Lucas Plumbing arrived. Seems it was user error on myside. Brian was polite and professional. He checked everything and then basically showed me all the things to check and watch for. Very helpful and I was grateful for the help. Thank you.

Our new boiler replacement went very smoothly. They managed to find an urgent slot for us, turned up promptly and completed the work very efficiently. The guys were very friendly and were careful to observe all Covid precautions. We have used the company before and will do again. Totally recommend.

After some bad experiences with another gas engineer, I found Lucas Plumbing & Heating and found them to be easy to deal with, professional and good value - which is really refreshing compared with the other company I was dealing with. There was someone to answer my phone call (better than letting it go to voicemail and never calling back), turned up when they said they would and then sent me a very fair bill. All good!

This was my first annual boiler service. Lucas plumbing have an efficient booking and reminder service. George was punctual, friendly and efficient, answering all my questions. All for a reasonable price.

I've used this company before a few times for other things (e.g. relocating a washing machine into the garage and plumbing it in). This was just a boiler service and a list of other niggles/worries. The engineer was polite, friendly and not fazed by my list of requests. He explained what might need further work and gave options on next steps. I'll be getting them back soon to do a few suggested improvements and have no hesitation in using this company in the future.

We selected Lucas Plumbing after a recommendation from a neighbour. They first of all were happy to fit a replacement boiler into an existing cupboard (British Gas were not) and the price was almost 2/3 off the competitive price. They arrived on time on the date agreed. George and Kai did an excellent job; no mess and were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Lucas Plumbing. Our hot water cylinder started leaking on the Monday and Lucas Plumbing came round the same day to drain the system and stop water leaking everywhere. The cylinder was 30 years old and needed replacing. We received a competitive quote the same day and the work was all done on Friday of the same week. A neat job and plenty of hot water now!

From initial contact to every other dealing Lucas have been great. Haven’t managed to fix all of my issues (not of their making I hasten to add!!) but James was knowledgeable, neat and tidy and installed my new nest in excellent time. We still can’t work out why my heating won’t do what it’s supposed to but that’s an ongoing issue which I’ve asked them to come back and try to resolve and I have absolutely no doubt James will get to the bottom of it. Rebecca is a pleasure to deal with, quick to respond and polite and friendly. You really feel like they care about their customers, a rare thing these days. Very happy so far and will continue to use them going forwards.

Lucas Plumbing and Heating have been servicing our boiler annually for many years - perhaps around ten. Until this year there has been no problem with the boiler. The service took place on 30th May, and a problem was found. With the Platinum Jubilee intervening the repair was scheduled for 7th June. Then the wrong replacement part was delivered! However, the right part was sourced and delivered the next day, and fitted that day, much to our relief. From our experience, we believe Lucas Plumbing are a reliable and trustworthy company.
