Quality Plumbing Works from a Good Service Provider

LVG Plumbing and Heating ("LVG") undertook works to remedy "water hammering" within the kitchen mains cold water pipes and subsequently (at my request) to replace the waste water pipes and connections to the kitchen sink and washing machine. For both jobs: I was given a detailed explanation of the likely cause of the problem; a remedial works plan; and a detailed price in writing. The estimated price was reasonable and not exceed. Again on both occasions: LVG arrived at the agreed time; undertook the work in a professional manner; were very thorough - ensuring all elements of the associated plumbing were satisfactory too; LVG used good quality materials; when finished Lee explained what had been done; and showed us the work undertaken to ensure we were satisfied. Before leaving they cleaned up any mess. Throughout the period Lee was easy to get hold of and communicated well so that we had a high confidence he would undertake the works at the time agreed. The remedial works still look good (three weeks later) and the water hammering and waste water problem both seem to have been cured. In any case LVG have provided a 1 year warranty on all the works they undertook.

Vailey came out immediately, stopped the water lead from the gas boiler. Next day replaced the faulty plastic part with chrome fitting, also installed a tap to isolate water in the future, plus full service, all explained! Best trades person I have every come across. Brilliant and very reassuring for a lone pensioner.

Googled "Which Trusted Trader" contacted LVG by phone, explained problem, engineer asked details, advised, made appointment for first thing next day. On arrival, he showed his ID Registration card, explained repair to be made, tested & left fully working. A very competent engineer, had full confidence in his work, good customer liaison, easy to relate too.

My eight radiators were 30 years old, with noisy room thermostats, all connected to a more recent combo boiler. LVG replaced the upstairs rads on the first day and reconnected them so that I had heat overnight. The next day the downstairs ones were replaced, the radiators balanced, the boiler serviced for free (and more expertly than previous services), leaving me with a quieter and cleaner house. An extra was the installation of a wireless main thermostat. When there was a possible problem with the wiring, requiring an electrician, Lee quickly located one he knew, brought him to my house two days later, went out on his motor-bike to acquire the correct device and it was all installed in one morning. All at a very favourable price!
