My sink was very badly blocked. Mark was recommended. He came on time, and went through a number of possible solutions, trying the easiest/cheapest ones first. Very efficient and systematic. He warned (rather alarmingly) that the problem was potentially serious. Eventually he had to call in help from drains experts with the appropriate equipment. It took awhile, but the pipework was unblocked eventually. Overall: Punctuality: Very good Clarity of explanation: Very good Problem solving: Excellent Value for money: Very good.

Our tenant contacted us to say that water was pouring down the wall in the lounge after her son had taken a shower. Couldn't get a plumber to help until we checked Trusted Traders and found Mark's number. He came as soon as he could (and when he said) and checked everything out before confirming that gaps in the shower sealant were the cause of the problem. Mark removed all the old sealant, re-sealed the whole shower, came back 2 days later to make sure it was water tight...and sourced and replaced new back nuts for a tap in the bathroom wash basin that had been wobbly for ages. All this for just £85 including parts, labour and 3 site visits. Mark is now on speed dial and we've also used him for a Vaillant boiler service at our own house...for just £50. Fantastic value for money and great service (sorry we can't give you 6 stars). Thank you Mark.

I had broken the tap in the kitchen and it needed replacing I had rung other plumbers they weren’t interested or they couldn’t come for 4 days. I rang Mark who said he would have to juggle some appointments but would come the same day at 14.30 to have a look and see if he could do it there and then.He arrived on time and said as it was strait forward ,we agreed a price and he got on with fitting the tap we provided.Took time to make sure there were no leaks and offered to put the things back in the cupboard

We had a leak from a pipe to our water heater which pretty much flooded the garage before I was able to turn the water off. We were given Marks name from a neighbour who'd used Mark before and he came out very quickly to sort it out. It turned out there was a faulty valve which he replaced but also he upgraded the pipe work to comply with safety regulations and drain into the waste in case of any future problems, which really should have been done by the previous guy we used! Will definitely use Mark in the future, very professional.

I used Mark to service my valiant boiler as he was highly recommended by a friend who had used him several times.At all times from my initial call to completion of the job Mark acted in a highly professional manner and carried out the service to my boiler at a very good price.Wouldn’t hesitate on using Mark again in the future.

Called Mark a couple of times to deal with a couple of problems I had, first with a faulty flushing toilet, he turned up late and spent half of the evening making a real mess and eventually had to come back the next day to sort it out. He continued to phone me up telling me he was going be late, I grin and bared it because the problem needed to be dealt with. Secondly I had an issue with the hot water not coming on quickly enough when I turned on the hot tap, first time he turned up on time and when i was still having issues the second time i called him he never turned up. I definitely won't recommend him as as seems to be highly unreliable and doesn't turn up on time.

Dear Anonymous, Firstly I apologise for any problems caused by my inability to attend on time due to circumstances completely out of my control. After booking in a faulty boiler previous to this job the fault was more complicated than first expected and unfortunately I was unable to leave the job in time due to gas issues which would be deemed unsafe or dangerous. I called the customer several times to explain the issue and told him that I was going to be late. After multiple attempts to contact with no answer I left an answerphone message assuring him I would still attend to his boiler. I then received a message from this customer saying "If you don't get here in five minutes don't bother!" Sadly this was not possible due to the circumstances. I tried to explain in my message to the customer that things can go wrong in plumbing and heating and sometimes keeping to an exact timescale can be difficult but I would never leave anybody in trouble and even in chance of being late I would try my absolute best to sort the problem. With regards to the first job I am very surprised that the customer didn't find my work satisfactory considering this is the third time he has contacted me for my services. I am very sorry once again for any inconvenience caused. Kind regards Mark Grain

We are so grateful that we found Mark via the Trusted Traders website. My mum phoned us at 8am to say she had no heating or hot water on the coldest day of the year (she's 89 and disabled). After a fruitless call to our insurers we gave up and started looking online for help. Thank goodness we found Mark; he agreed to call in on his way home after a busy day, he quickly sorted out the problem and even serviced mum's boiler as well! Now that's what we call service. He's very professional, friendly, polite and efficient....and doesn't charge the earth. Boiler is now working perfectly! We would wholeheartedly recommend Mark to anyone (and have done so!)

I have used Mark now for three different jobs. He always leaves a neat finish and ensures that the work is done properly. There are no cut corners and I would rely on Mark to let me know if I need more work doing or less work doing than I first thought. I have no hesitation in recommending Mark for any small jobs like connecting up a washing machine, or larger jobs such as a complete heating installation.
