We had a boiler that was old, and after a leak had meant it needed to to urgently replaced, they did so exceptionally quickly. Having previously being informed that I have Raynauds, a condition that means I need to keep warm, they made it a priority to fit it before the predicted snow fall. I am so grateful for this. Both the heating engineer, Elliot, who we had many dealings with over the weeks running up to the boiler breakdown, and the installer were professional and friendly. I have already recommended this company to my friends and work colleagues.

The job: to remove an old failed gas boiler, hot water cylinder, associated header tanks and replace with a new condensing gas combi boiler. Isolate and remove an old gas heater with flue. Replace a leaking radiator. The initial house visit by Mark Thompson put our minds to rest that we had chosen an excellent contractor to get the job done well. We were able to talk through how the job would be done and weigh-up the options without feeling confused or under any pressure. The estimate was clearly set out and everything we had discussed was included so we had no hesitation in allowing the works to commence. Harry (the installing engineer) was prompt, efficient, tidy, well mannered and completed the job with the utmost professionalism. Mark Thompson fitted a new Gas Boiler for us yesterday and it was completed in the day as they said it would. The 2 lads were great and made sure everything was working as it should be. What stood out was that the water would not drain down properly and in the end took ages and they were very late leaving (having started at 8.00am). However no complaints from them and no mention of extra charges, the job being done for the original estimate. Great job and no hesitation in recommending.

Following the failure of our Combi boiler we urgently required a replacement solution at our holiday let property in Whitby. Being from Leeds I spoke to Mark Thompson and discussed our requirements and the issues we had experienced with our old boiler. Mark was extremely knowledgeable regarding the pro's and con's of replacement boilers to suit our needs and advised us that a water heater was the most suitable and cost effective replacement. Mark despatched one of his fitters to Whitby working within very tight timescales to allow us to keep the cottage open for business. The work was carried out to an excellent standard with no mess and fully tested before being signed off as Gas Safe. I would like to thank Mark and his team for their great work and speedy response, which really helped dig us out of a hole.

Mark and Sam have recently completed a major refit of the heating and hot water systems in our house. The job included a significant new under floor heating system, new boiler, new pressurised cylinder, replacement radiators, app based multi zone heating control and 2 new bathrooms. We could not be happier with the work that has been completed and the proactive approach Mark took when designing what the house needed. We now have an efficient system that comfortably provides heating and hot water to all areas of the house without wasting energy heating the unused parts.

Just before Christmas, on the day we were expecting family from abroad, our heating started to fail. On what should have been his last working day, Mark turned out, diagnosed the problem, sourced a replacement part and fitted it, all before lunchtime. Fantastic service that saved our Christmas.

Mark and Sam did a great job of installing a new boiler for me. They converted my system boiler to a combi removing redundant tank and piping and relocating the boiler to a more convenient location. I’m really pleased with the job they have done. Mark came highly recommended from a friend and I can see why. I thought the cost of the work was really competitive, he was really flexible and managed to get the work done quickly in a timeframe that worked for me and the quality of the finish was great. We had a major extension to our house, over several months, which involved relocating the boiler (1 year old boiler initially installed by Mark and his team) establishing a new unvented cylinder, new hot & cold water, new central heating radiators and piping to the first floor and rerouting of gas services (Ground floor was wet underfloor heating by others). Mark and his team (especially Sam) were flexible, turning up at various stages, to do enabling works, diversions and gradually establishing new systems over multiple visits. The final result is a first class installation and the plant area around the new boiler and cylinder is a master class in plumbing pipe work that deserves to be on show rather than hidden in the garage. My thanks to Mark and Sam for sticking with this project over several months to achieve the superb end result.

Mark is a good communicator and easy to talk to. He gave us helpful professional advice at the quote stage then he & Sam carried out the work in an efficient and tidy manner. They kept to their timetable and quote and kept us advised throughout. They also diagnosed and corrected a long standing problem with the system that had been misdiagnosed by others. Mark and Sam worked very hard on a difficult job, working in a loft that was very hot and small, they did not complain. The work was carried out to a very high standard, very clean and tidy, they were prompt and did not leave us until the job was done, which took three days. I have known Mark for over twenty years and l use only him for all my plumbing/ heating needs due to his knowledge, efficiency and professionalism. Very impressed with the work carried out from start to finish. Had experienced water pressure problems for a long time but this has now been corrected. The team were very friendly and did a very neat and tidy job. Would highly recommend.

We used Mark Thompson and his team members Greg and Sam for the second time after being impressed with their diligence, reliability and high quality work the first time around (emergency boiler replacement close to Christmas 2019). We needed a whole system replacement in a rambling old house - no small feat in terms of time, money or disruption - and would not have trusted anyone else to do it. The main factor in recommending them is the high level of skill, experience and insight displayed by Mark and his team, but other factors include their courteous, friendly attitude, tidiness, clarity of explanations and general air of conscientious hard work. They were careful to leave us with water and usable spaces over nights, and clear about when there would be noise or unusable rooms, so we could plan around it. The job took three weeks so these small factors became very important, particularly when working from home. Mark, Greg and Sam completed this huge job a day early, achieving a tidy, timely, top quality result, with a much improved heating and hot water system, in a complex, non-standard working environment. They were never late or messy, unfailingly kind and polite even after long, dusty days, utterly trustworthy, and most importantly they are top flight heating engineers. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Got Mark out for a quote for a new Worcester Bosch boiler to replace our 19 year old one. Impressed by Mark's knowledge, attitude and advice. Got other quotes from Brit Gas and Boxt. Mark’s quote was in the middle even though it was a better boiler with a 12 year parts & labour manufacture guarantee - I prefer to support local businesses and on this occasion it really paid off. They arrived promptly on the fitting day, with Greg having the old boiler out and the new one in just after lunchtime slight delay with the flue as it had to be moved further from the wall. Roofer arrived and it was sorted. We had heating and hot water back on, before they left. They returned the next morning with Greg cleansing the system and Sam replacing the ceiling in the boiler cupboard including an access panel so the flue could be checked on service. They were finished by 11 O clock, after a final check of everything. Must stress there was no mess every thing was masked up and cleared up and all rubbish was taken away. Will be using this company again to replace our 11 radiators later this year. Thank you Mark and your team for an excellent job.

Our existing boiler of 20 years plus had come to its end and needed replacing along with one of our radiators. We’d had a quote from a company and decided it was very expensive. However, we found Mark’s details, he was local so we contacted him. Within 2 hours he had done an assessment and was providing us with a comprehensive written quotation. 4 days later we had our new boiler and radiator fitted and working. Mark and his team were very professional. Arrived on time, very polite and courteous. Removed old boiler and radiator and organised appropriate disposal. Wore overshoes and covered flooring when working. Very clean, tidy and efficient. Answered all our questions. The only slight issue we had, was when we tried to do a bank transfer to pay on completion. Numerous attempts were made but not successful. We told Mark. It was not a problem as he accepted cheque payment. No hesitation in recommending Mark and his team.

Mark's team (Greg and Sam) did a good job of installing the new boiler on 6th Jan. Turned up a few minutes early and worked steadily all day until they finished just before 5pm. Kept everything tidy, removed all their rubbish, and were courteous and friendly. We were already aware that they did a good job, as they had installed a new boiler for a relative about a year previously. They had done an urgent job for her, when she moved into a house to find that the boiler wasn't working and couldn't be repaired. We are pleased with the work they have done (the only complaint came from our cat, who hates any sort of disruption).

We thought our vintage boiler could limp through one more winter but we were badly wrong. I had a quick response despite it being New Year. I had a slow leak that was difficult to source as it was from a capped off pipe under floorboards. I was impressed by the respect for my home and belongings. Once the leak was sourced it was dealt with quickly and everything put back. I was advised on how to deal with the water damage and dealt with sympathetically. No patronising from them!

Central heating boiler installation. I was very impressed with their punctuality, they were within 30 seconds of the arrival time quoted. The installation was very neat and tidy and they disposed of all the rubbish. The Boiler operation was explained in a simple manner so it could easily be understood. The whole installation process was a pleasurable experience so I would definitely use them again.

Installation was prompt and efficient plus they cover all your carpets (during the installation) and hoover up afterwards! Mark gave me the best of three quotes for a new A++ boiler, relocated to the loft, fitting a new shower unit and a gas hob in the kitchen. The work included installing a larger gas supply pipe, removal of the old boiler, boiler flue and shower, electrical work, roofing work and making good. Mark and his team laid protection, worked quickly but thoroughly. They were polite, professional and tidied up after themselves. One tip; if your gas engineer says they can start work straight away or within a week or so, be cautious and take up references. The best will have several weeks work ahead of them.

Mark arrived within the same day of calling him, to repair our faulty boiler, he found the fault straight away and repaired it there and then. We found his service very professional and friendly and would definitely recommend using his services.

Our boiler broke down on Thursday, we rang Mark and he sent someone the same afternoon. We were told the boiler wasn't worth repairing as it was old and the parts were hard to get and replacing them wouldn't be cost effective. He said he could get a new boiler for us and said he could fit it the next day which was really good as it was getting colder. By teatime it was up and running with all the info we needed to operate it and I was rung up by the fitter later that evening to see if everything was working okay. I would recommend them for anyone wanting any central heating problems in the future.

I've used Mark for lots of plumbing work over the past few years. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of his work. Mark is also responsive, tidy and turns up when he says he will. I'd recommend him for all that he does.

Mark advised us which boilers best suited our needs, and also about re-siting the boiler in the garage. The quote was fair, and substantially less than quoted by British Gas; it was also lower than other local quotes. Despite being cheaper, the work was carried out on time and tidily by Scott who had just started working with Mark. As the title says, a perfect job.

Both Mark and Peter recently changed our very old system within the surgery it could only be described as a room you never wanted to enter alone. The room now is very spacious and a much more manageable system in place. I would definitely recommend these guys all the time they was working keeping us informed of what was going to happen and for the approx length of time which was important to us within the work place. We contacted mark early in the week as my parents boiler had been condemned. We called Mark and he came out to give us a quote we got this quote the same day and arranged fitting on the Thursday. Mark and Pete came to install the boiler they were very efficient and knowledgeable and they fitted the boiler very quickly and were clean and tidy while working. We had 3 estimates from Local Heating Engineers, Marks quote was right in the middle. We were able to see Marks work in a couple of properties on our estate and were impressed with what we saw and heard from the home owners. Mark and Pete started by installing our new boiler but left the heating and water working in a very cold week until it was necessary to break into the old system. This was an upgrade to an existing system due to a rear extension being built. Mark will be installing our Under Floor Heating in the new extension at a later date when it's built. The boiler and hot water tank is fitted in the loft space and connected to the old systems radiators. We upgraded a couple and had TRV's fitted on the rest. Mark and Pete are both professional and friendly, excellent installation and enjoyable banter. We wil be recommending Mark Thompson to all our friends and neighbors.

It involved removing old flue and adding flue through roof to accommodate higher fitting for new boiler. Reasonable price and good work.
