He called early but no problem. All sorted, he moved files from C to D drive and gave a general clean up at a reasonable price, what more could you ask.

Having used Mel's for a number of years for anything related to computers, I have always been very satisfied with the service provided. Although the staff are. clearly, 'geeks', you wouldn't know it because they explain things in layman terms so that the problem and solution are easily understood.

After a very worrying time trying to deal with longstanding technological confusion, I’ve been absolutely delighted with your help, especially regarding domain names. Tywi not only did the job in the time and at the cost agreed, but was endlessly patient, friendly and reassuring. Instead of feeling stupid, I now feel more competent to try and work things out , understand what it’s reasonable for me not to know, and comfortable to ask for help if I need a quick answer to a quick question. Consequently, technology can take its place as something useful rather than a monster lurking in every corner of my life. The flexibility of your service - in the office or at home - has also been greatly appreciated. Thank you to all in the office too! ​

Mel and his staff are unfailingly courteous and friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. It is a pleasure to visit the shop! However, and more importantly, they are all ready to go the extra mile to help. An example of this occurred just before Christmas 2024, when my husband’s elderly phone went completely dead shortly before his admission to hospital. Although their main concern is with computers, Mel and his team sourced, bought, and set up a new phone for him, brought it to the house, and phoned the following day to ensure that there were no problems. This kindness made a difficult time so much easier! More recently, Towie has spent much time on the phone, successfully helping me to combat a printer problem, and Alina visited to deal, again successfully , with a practical difficulty. Thank you all SO much! I can’t recommend Mel’s Computer Centre too highly!

Computer problem earlier in the day. Sent email to Mel’s Computercare and received a call within a couple of hours. Problem sorted out immediately. Always receive prompt action when we have a problem. All staff extremely helpful and friendly.

We ordered a new bespoke PC Tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse from Mel’s. The order was completed on time, and our data was transferred from our old computer to the new one by Twyi, one of the staff. Communication about the progress of this process was clear and appropriate. The new computer was delivered to us and installed for us, which was a great help. We do appreciate the personal service, which is always helpful and patient. This is one reason why we go to Mel’s- it is always possible to discuss and find help for even minor problems.

Mel just sorted my new phone for me and as always with Mel it was quick and efficient. He and his team answer questions readily and have over the years built me a customised pc, sorted out glitches and used online assist linking with me at home. His gold package of care is worth every penny.

I have used the services of Mel's Computer Care several times to buy computer equipment. My wife and I are both elderly and housebound with health issues and are sheltering from the coronavirus as we are both vulnerable, so we can't go out to purchase computer equipment. We live a short distance away from Mel in Sale Moor, so I contacted Mel and he advised me on what to buy. I then purchased two Samsung Galaxy A7 Tablets directly from Mel and he set them both up for us and delivered them by hand at a time and day we specified. I subsequently also needed a Windows tablet upon which I could install 3D computer software that I use for work and my hobby. Mel recommended a Microsoft Surface Go tablet, and advised me on the amount of RAM and which processor option I would need. I bought the tablet from the Microsoft website and had it delivered directly to Mel, where he set it all up and installed all the software I needed, including my Norton antivirus software. And again they delivered it to us by hand at a time and day we specified. Mel has also delivered non-computer related items to us from time to time. So I can't fault his service, technical abilities, and above all, the kindness and understanding of his whole team. They are outstanding and excellent and I fully and whole-heartedly recommend Mel's Computer Care. They deserve more than five stars, they deserve an Oscar, a BAFTA and a Michelin Star.

Mel was recommended by my sister so I visited him to discuss my requirements. He and his staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and what he suggested was competitively priced and included after sales technical help . What was particularly good was the speed of the service in the difficult circumstances with the virus epidemic . I could easily have been left without a computer during isolation but they made every effort to make sure I was up and running with a new computer. I am happy to recommend his company.

Mel's Computer Service is a very reliable company. It is quick, friendly and efficient. Everything is dealt with speedily, skillfully and comprehensively. Jobs are done efficiently and at a reasonable price. Mel gets computers running just like new. He gives the best quality and service possible and no problem is too large or too small. He comes to one's home or can remotely log into your computer and he always goes the extra mile. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

I first took the contract out with Mel on 30.03.2017 and have used him continuously since for various problems that I could not have sorted myself. Mel and his staff are always there and if not available at that time will call me back from a message left shortly afterwards. His remote access is invaluable on saving time and other expenses. My laptop stopped charging and, as I'm self-employed, this meant I was unable to earn any money so needed the problem fixing quickly. I dropped my laptop off at 1pm and it was ready by 10am the next day, even though Mel had to wait for delivery of the part! Cannot fault the service (very friendly and communicative) or the price at all.

I have used Mel's computer care for the past 2 years and they have been first class, excellent service, reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with. Any problems I had have been fixed promptly and the overall service has been outstanding. I seldom write reviews but Mel's computers are a fantastic company and i would thoroughly recommend them .

Having been with Mel's Computer Care now for some 3-4 years, I have found that my many previous worries and problems regarding my P. C. have been resolved, and new problems are dealt with very quickly to my total satisfaction. The on-going technical help offered is second to non and the response time to any problem I have is very quick indeed, no matter when this occurs. Mel's Computer care really does it's job well, and cares for both me and my computer!

Mel and his team have looked after our Apple products for several years and we have been so happy with their service, speed of response and sound advice that we now have a contract with them. A recent change to Android phones caused a few hitches which were unpicked the day we contacted them, plus a few very useful tips!
