I made use of Mel's Computer Care Ltd when my desktop refused to boot. I phoned Mel on a Saturday afternoon and was able to take the computer in immediately. The fault was subsequently found to be the hard drive and as the computer also had an SSD drive the repairer was able to boot the computer up after removing the faulty hard drive. After installing a new hard drive Mel was then able to restore a pre-saved system image and the computer now works perfectly. Very friendly and efficient service. Warmly recommended

Having been with Mel's Computer Care now for some 3-4 years, I have found that my many previous worries and problems regarding my P. C. have been resolved, and new problems are dealt with very quickly to my total satisfaction. The on-going technical help offered is second to non and the response time to any problem I have is very quick indeed, no matter when this occurs. Mel's Computer care really does it's job well, and cares for both me and my computer!

My laptop stopped charging and, as I'm self-employed, this meant I was unable to earn any money so needed the problem fixing quickly. I dropped my laptop off at 1pm and it was ready by 10am the next day, even though Mel had to wait for delivery of the part! Cannot fault the service (very friendly and communicative) or the price at all.

I first had problems on 29/05/25, which was caused by my internet supplier. They were doing work in my area and my internet went off completely. Eventually it came back on in the house but I could not get my laptop working. I phoned Mel and he spoke to me over the phone telling me what to do and he got me up and running. I booked an appointment to have a total clean up on my laptop and he said no problem just pop along and we can do it for you. M JONES

Mel and his team spent a considerable amount of time trying to recover my lost files from my medical diary, which is very important to me. It was my fault that I deleted the files after trying to merge another file into the diary without making a back up beforehand, which I learnt form Mel this time (something I wont forget in the future) I have used Mel's Computer Care for many years and have always found them very professional and do all they can to assist you when things do go wrong and of course help in setting up new equipment when it requires to be upgraded. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mel's to any one whether they be novices like me or someone that is well up in computing.

Mel came to the house at very short notice and sorted out a problem very quickly that had been a nagging problem for years. There were lots of issues connected with the pc that he addressed in a most professional and methodical way. His approach was very freindly and he went out of his way on more than one occasion to not only fix the problem but to advise on other aspects to make life easier for someone who is not a natural with computors. Having used Mel previously for repair, I used his services for a new computer. This entailed a move from Windows XP to Windows 10. The service I received was superb, prior to the purchase there was several weeks of questions and answers, the end of which was a very well specified computer with all software and hardware installed from old to new, on top of this was a follow up call to check that all was well. If you are thinking of a new computer contact Mel, particularly if you are making the jump from XP to 10. I doubt you will be disappointed. Bert Broadbent

Had a new SKY Q router installed but my pc was unable to identify. Mel was able to send help within a couple of days. His colleague Paul visited and within an hour had everything up and running. He explained clearly at every stage of the procedure and was polite and patient with my ignorance! I first took the contract out with Mel on 30.03.2017 and have used him continuously since for various problems that I could not have sorted myself. First impressions count. Greated with a friendly welcome. Explained the issue with my laptop. Over a nearly 30 min period I explained the issues, and the engineer told me about what were the possible issues. I left it over night. They said the would ring me the following day if they have found the issue (s). They rang me the following day and explained the issue. I asked if they could increase the RAM at the same time. I was given a quote over the phone ( at no time was I persuaded to buy this or that ). I found the price to be very competitive. I said go ahead with it. Two days later it was ready for collection. When I collected it they explained what the had done. I am over the moon with it. It's like a new laptop. Through the whole process they have been really friendly and helpful. They did explain about after care package's that they do ( no persuading me too buy ). Thank you all.
