My wife and I are very pleased with the service that Mike and his team have provided in sorting out our ageing boiler which needed to be replaced (including the 30-year-old wiring!). They were very prompt in providing a (very reasonable) quote, carrying out the work over a 2-day period and very accommodating in keeping with our requested timeframes. Good communication throughout. We had a mixer bathroom tap replaced today by Ash. We can not fault his service. He is thorough, polite and even takes our rubbish away with him. We have used Ash before for a new boiler and fixing an old one and we will continue to use him. Brilliant service!

I had a new boiler installed by MetGas, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the Hservice. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, on time, courteous, and very approachable. They took the time to explain every step of the installation process, ensuring I was comfortable with what was happening. What really stood out was their knowledge and expertise with the new technology. They didn’t just install the boiler and leave – they patiently walked me through how it works, explaining its advanced features and energy efficiency benefits in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Throughout the installation, they worked efficiently while being respectful of my home, keeping everything clean and tidy. Failed to keep TWO consecutive appointments to quote for new boiler. 1st appointment Thurs 4 April 8:30am. Waited in. No phone call to say they weren't attending. Called them - they said they had to attend urgent business elsewhere (why not call to reschedule instead of keeping customer waiting?). Rearranged appointment: 2nd appointment Mon 8 April 8:30am. Again failed to show up. Again no phone call to say they weren't attending. Awful customer service. Won't be giving them a third appointment not to show up

We can't praise this company enough. The job involved replacing an old non combi boiler for a combi boiler, changing the site of the boiler, removing the immersion heater tank and 2 other water tanks (one in the loft). The quote was fair, reasonable and very competitive, and the company did exactly what it said it would. It was clear that, with Mike, you were dealing with a knowledgeable man, and man of his word. Alan, the engineer who attended to carry out the job, worked non stop for 3 days and had the knowledge and expertise to overcome any logistical issue which arose along the way. The work was to the highest standard, tidy, and was carried out with care for our home - the company even went to the trouble of sourcing bricks to match our old ones where the old flue had to be bricked up. Couldn't be more impressed.

We have used Met Gas for quite a few years now, boiler servicing, radiator replacement, new thermostat, and they have just replaced the boiler the service they provide is always first rate and professional, they respond quickly and always arrive when they say they will, and never postpone all the engineers' are very respectful, pleasant and courteous, and always leave the house clean and tidy, they even took away the old boiler without me even asking. i would never dream of using any other company

Excellent service, courteous, turned up on time, performed the maintenance on the boiler that they fitted 2 years ago. No issues, the engineer also did a visual inspection of the underfloor heating that they extensively repaired at the same time as the boiler. It’s good to know that one thing I can depend on is a Met Gas to maintain and also deal with the underfloor heating in a very professional manner and at a fair price.

I've used Met Gas for over 10 years now, and wouldn't use anyone else as their service is second to none. I've had them install a gas cooker and replace radiators throughout the house as well as regular boiler servicing. With my boiler starting to develop faults, rather than spend money fixing it, only for it to need replacement anyway, I was quoted for a replacement (with a 10 year guarantee). As I'd not long had the controller replaced, Mike was happy to remove that from the quote as this was close to brand new. Booking was made and the fitter Allan arrived to fit. This was done by the afternoon, and everything was left tidy. A scrapman had been booked to take away the old boiler, so I didn't have to worry about that. New boiler is so much smaller than the previous one, which, as it is above a kitchen work top, gives more space in a small kitchen. The boiler is so much quieter in it's operation, and as an A rated boiler, more energy efficient. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the service - but that is why they are my go to company!

Have used MetGas for some years now. On Saturday, 15th JUly our boiler failed. Rang Met on Monday morning to arrange a call expecting for them to be able to make Tuesday or Wednesday. Plumber here within 2 hours of my call. Diagnosis was the boiler needed to be replaced. Quoted that evening. Installation agreed for Thursday morning. Plumber, Ash, here first thing with boiler in and working by mid afternoon. Ash left the workspace in immaculate condition, all necessary piping tidy and lagged. Explained controls clearly Also because we had only recently had new room thermostat installed, did not need new one so once bill arrived that had been removed from the quote costs (some firms would not have bothered). As in all my dealings, they are responsive and reasonably priced.

I have used Metgas Ltd for the last 3 years for servicing my boiler. The boiler is now 11 years old and when it developed a fault it was not economical to repair. Metgas provided an estimate to replace boiler and after a site inspection the new boiler was fitted on 15/6/2023. The work was completed within the day as per the estimate and I was impressed with quality of the workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending Metgas to other people because I have found the to be reliable, punctual and very helpful.

We have used MET Gas several times for various plumbing jobs ranging from replacing a boiler to fitting a kitchen tap. We've had occasion to call on them three times recently, and the latest job was the boiler's first annual service. On every occasion their service has been excellent, including booking a suitable appointment, punctuality, advice, quality of work, cleanliness and prices charged. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

He was polite and very tidy, clearing all rubbish away each day. The installation, including where the flue exits the wall, looks tidy and professional. You can pay less, but in this case I think you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Most recent job was a new thermostat promptly replaced and now working properly. I've been using MET GAS for over 14 years. In that time I have had 2 new boilers/full central heating systems installed (in current property and previous property) yearly boiler checks, full shower room installation including tiling, various plumbing jobs and odd repairs all at a reasonable cost. Mike, Hayley and the Boys in the team are all lovely. All the work is carried out in a speedy cheerful and polite manner and they always clean up afterwards. I would not hesitate in recommending Met Gas to others.

I have used Met Gas Services for annual boiler servicing for 4 consecutive years. Also used them for a toilet plumbing fault. They are efficient in setting up an appointment and the plumber always attends at the specified time. I have always received a 10 minute forward call before arrival at my home. The plumbers have been polite, informative and leave the job fully cleared up. Every job Met Gas have done has been completed entirely correctly and satisfactorily. Highly recomended

I asked Metgas for a gas boiler service and maybe a powerflush of my radiators. Mike responded very quickly and arranged a date for the boiler service and said their engineer would assess what else was required. Their engineer George turned up promptly and on time. He completed the (Worcester Bosch) service and had a look at a problem radiator that had not heated up for a few years! He removed and manipulated the thermostatic and exhaust valves and siphoned that part of the system. It didn't happen immediately but a while after George had left the radiator started to heat up and has been warm ever since - no powerflus required. Excellent service, clean and efficient from Metgas. I would certainly recommend them and will use them again.

Ash took out the old boiler and fitted a new one after putting protective covers on carpets and staircase. He worked quietly and with care. Ash cleaned up and everything was left as it should be. He explained how the new boiler worked. His courteous manner is much appreciated. Thank you.

Having a lukewarm radiator and desperately need someone to fix it before leaving abroad tomorrow. Ash came instantly upon a very short notice and explained possible solutions. Though the remedy cannot be immediately fixed due to workload and time to buy materials etc. but will arrange to get this done when back. The outcall charge was clearly stated and fixed price and everything is very transparent, no ripping off (where I had horrible experience with other tradesman who claim to offer emergent service). Ash was very polite and professional. Highly recommend!

MetGas have serviced my boiler for over 10 years. Last week my boiler went faulty and could not be repaired. MetGas recommended a replacement boiler from a different manufacturer, and also a more efficient and controllable thermostat. The new boiler was fitted quickly and professionally. I am really please with the service I received, both the advice and the installation. I look forward to more excellent servicing from Michael and his team and would recommend them to anyone.

I have used this company for several years both for annual boiler services and for an emergency call out to a gas leak. The company are easy to contact, they make appointments at a time to suit me. They always keep their appointments, phoning shortly before arrival to confirm exact timings. Their engineer is very polite and helpful, he undertakes all the agreed work at the previously agreed price and leaves my home clean and tidy. A detailed service check list and invoice are sent by email shortly after completion of the work. First class customer service at a fair price.

Boiler service, quick to respond to requests and questions. Arrived on time, with a phone call in advance. Friendly & polite. Boiler had a drip which the last plumber never returned to do. MET Gas temporarily sorted the drip so the boiler passed its service and are coming back to repair the seal when the part comes in. Great service, prompt and reliable which is welcome as previous plumbers have let us down.

We had a new diverter valve fitted to our Vaillant boiler and were given a reasonable price in advance so there were no surprises. Ash was courteous and efficient as usual and did an excellent job in fitting it with the minimum of disruption. Very friendly and honest which counts for a great deal, we are very pleased with the work.

Michael took our call for a new boiler promptly and the following day he came out and provided us with excellent advice recommending Worcester and Baxi boilers of various powers. He was happy to advise. We also had a problem with an underfloor heating system that Michael advised needed addressing before fitting the boiler. Michael provided estimates of all work and an agreed start date. The underfloor heating issue was addressed followed by the boiler installation the following day. Both fitters did an excellent, job in a prompt, tidy and efficient manner, no surprises on the invoice either.

We contacted Met Gas on a Wednesday morning when our pilot light had gone out the previous evening and we couldn’t relight it. We advised that the situation wasn’t urgent as we had hot water and the weather wasn’t too cold. Despite this, Mike called back to arrange for Ash visit that afternoon, assuring us that Ash would probably enjoy working on such an old boiler for a change. Ash rang to advise us when he was 20 minutes away, and cheerfully replaced a thermocouple and gave the boiler a good clean out and check up. It’s a very old boiler that hasn’t been serviced for a few years, but we’ll definitely use Met Gas next year for a service. I read lots of reviews for local gas companies before calling Met Gas. They certainly lived up to their 5 star reviews. We didn’t get any hard sell for a new boiler, but we’ll certainly be contacting them when that becomes a necessity.

My recent emergency was resolved in a speedy manner as usual but in all honesty I've been using Met Gas for a few years now and they've never let me down. They carry out all my central heating and plumbing repairs as well as boiler services and gas-safe certification for both my home and rented properties. It's notoriously difficult to find a reliable and responsive company in this trade and to be able depend on Mike and his team takes a huge amount of stress and worry away from this part of the business. They were recommended to me by word of mouth and I would have no hesitation doing the same.

I have used MET Gas about three or four times now. We have had our boiler serviced twice, had a radiator fixed and had a washer/dryer installed and an outside tap installed for my daughter. We have found Mike and Ash to be very polite and more importantly reliable. Ash has carried out the work for us, he always calls before he is due to arrive and has been flexible when needed. Mike has always returned my calls in a timely fashion. The costs involved so far have always seemed very reasonable. All in all I can thoroughly recommend MET Gas and hopefully they will be carrying out some more work for me in the near future.

My annual boiler service was completed as per my appointment. Engineer was very helpful and did work with minimum of fuss. Also offered good advice ref. replacing seal which was much appreciated. The extra little job of fixing my dripping taps took a bit of effort but again went without a hitch. I always say I'm so glad Met Gas replaced my boiler 7 years ago, best decision I've made, and the service since then has always been first class. I would recommend this firm to anyone needing plumbing or gas works.

My boiler was very old and had begun to leak. I called Met gas as I have used them for servicing my boiler for the past 4 years. The engineer Ashley came out and after assessing the issue gave me the options of repair or replacement and the costs involved. As the boiler was 20 years old and not really powerful enough for my now extended 4 bed house (originally only 2 bedrooms), I decided to opt for a brand new boiler. I was given the options of three boilers from a value range, mid range and higher end range. I discussed the pros and cons with Mike the owner and decided on a mid range boiler with a 10 year guarantee. Mike was able to fit us in within a few days. Ashley returned to carry out the work. He arrived at the time he said he would be there and he got straight on to changing the boiler, pipework in my cellar and flushing my radiators. He worked quietly and efficiently tidying as he went. When it was complete, he spent time explaining to my husband how to use the new thermostat box and set it up for our needs. Ashley said if we had any user issues we could call anytime. I have always had a great experience from this company and feel total trust that they will do an excellent job. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so.

Met Gas have undertaken the annual service of our gas boiler for a number of years and we have always found them to be very friendly and efficient. We were particularly pleased at their speed of response when on two separate occasions we suffered plumbing issues – one involving a leaking overflow pipe, and the other our kitchen sink.

My boiler was due for its annual service in November and one of the people from Met Gas came to do this. The man from MET Gas arrived on time having phoned beforehand to let me know he was on his way. He then came in the house and checked my boiler. He was obviously very capable and the whole process did not take long. The boiler service was completed efficiently and speedily. MET Gas originally installed my new boiler about 4 years ago. The service I have had from them at the time and since then has been excellent.

This was a 4 year boiler service of our Vaillant Eco-Tec boiler, so was a slightly larger service than normal. Very good work, conscientious, thorough and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

I have used Met Gas for all of my heating and plumbing needs for around 12 years. I have my boiler serviced every year, had a new central heating system fitted, a shower room installed and various emergency plumbing and heating jobs done over the years, all done to the highest standard and at a very reasonable cost. All the Met Gas staff are lovely. They are a polite and friendly team who will go that extra mile to make sure you are happy with the work done. Even when they are busy they make every effort to sort out any emergencies as quickly as possible. They also clean up after themselves when the job is done and remove any unwanted debris, which is a big help to me in particular. I can't recommend Met Gas highly enough and I have no hesitation in recommending them to other people needing the services they provide.

Gas safety check and boiler service 29th June 2020. I have used Met Gas now for 3 years and have recommended them to my family and friends. I have always received a high level of service. When I had an issue with my boiler I thought it would be ages before anyone could come and it would need to be replaced, but Met Gas were able to come the following day and they fixed the problem. They always arrive when they say and communication is great through phone or email. I have also found them to be very reasonably priced with excellent customer service.

As usual things go wrong at most inconvenient time - only a few days into lockdown. Noticed a small leak in a t joint positioned above boiler, so if got worse would cascade onto / through boiler. Spoke to Mike on 7th, sent some photos; visit arranged for next morning. Problem fixed quickly and efficiently, including a central heating system drain/refill. Checks carried out across all radiators after refill to ensure no air locks. Thank you.

I've used Met Gas for many years now and they have always been super efficient, friendly, and reasonably priced.

Had a frustrating issue with a concealed flush - very slight leak into the toilet pan causing cistern to constantly top up approx every 30 mins, wasting water and being noisy during night. Spoke with Mike who arranged for Ash to call round to assess. Ash suggested could be a hairline crack somewhere in the flush internal mechanism. Was able to remove tile without damage, to access the flush, replace the internal flush mechanism (his diagnosis was correct - he showed me the cause of the issue - a hairline crack in the plastic overflow pipe) and replace the removed tile. Professional, courteous, neat and tidy job all completed with minimum fuss. Realistic price too! Would not hesitate to contact MET Gas again. Thank you.

Met Gas did a great job for us when replacing old central heating radiators with modern more efficient versions. Their engineers were polite, friendly and professional in the extreme. Inevitably through the course of the work some things changed and some parts were not used. Without having to be asked Met Gas deducted the cost of the parts from the final invoice and even reduced the labour charge accordingly. We would highly recommend this company.

Yesterday I contacted this company Met Gas Plumbers as I needed a very small plumbing job to be carried out. I was given an immediate appointment for the following day. Today I recieved a call when the plumber was 20 minutes away. He knew exactly what was required and got on with the job. The only evidence that he had been in my home was that the problem was fixed! An excellent efficient speedy service.

This was the first but definitely not the last time I'll be making use of Met Gas for our gas boiler & plumbing needs. Our work was scheduled within a few days of our initial enquiry, the quotation we received was fair, transparent & accurate and the engineer completed the work on the due date, quickly and without fuss or mess. Exceptional service. We moved to Chesterfield February 2018. Since then we have called upon MET Gas for their services on four occasions. Steve fitted an additional radiator in our dining room, replaced the leaking shower unit and retiled the surround, and also replaced the wall mounted tap and basin with a new vanity unit. A few months later our boiler failed. Mike quickly diagnosed the problems and advised that it would be more economical to replace the boiler than repair as the existing unit was quite old. We agreed. MIke revised his schedule so that the new boiler could be fitted as soon as possible, and Ashley fitted the new unit just a few days later. On each occasion the cost of the work was advised up front and was always very competitive. MET Gas staff were always punctual, very tidy and took the time to advise on the use of new equipment where appropriate. When our boiler broke down Met Gas Plumbers came very quickly to give us an estimate for a new boiler. Our replacement boiler was fitted very professionally. The plumbers were very considerate and courteous. We then needed a new motorised valve and water cylinder thermostat and a plumber returned the next day to sort this - which was much appreciated.

We contacted Met Gas to replace our broken boiler. Mike came out the same day to quote and the new boiler was installed within a week. The Installation team turned up on time and were very friendly and efficient. I needed a new boiler, but I also wanted it to be moved to a different location. I wasn't sure how feasible this would be, but MET Gas were able to tell me on the initial visit what would be involved and what options were available. I was happy with the quote, which included a full breakdown. The installation started and finished on time, the fitters were knowledgeable and courteous and kept me updated as they went along. The end result is exactly what I was after. I've already recommended MET Gas to a friend who is also happy with them and I will definitely use them again in future.

Initially contacted Met Gas to do a minor repair on an old gas boiler system and were very impressed by their obvious competence and quick service. We then engaged them to replace our old CH/HW system with a new Worcester-Bosch system. Their engineers undergo annual training with Worcester-B which enables them to provide a 10yr guarantee (subject to regular servicing). We were very happy with their work: - all the personnel involved were clearly very competent. - they came when they said they would - they forewarned us when some unexpected complications with the installation resulted in the 2-day job extending to 2.5 days. - they consulted us to get our opinion on aspects of the work such as positioning of the main thermostat and running of pipework. - they cleaned up thoroughly at the end. - they followed up afterwards to check that we were happy with the peformance of the new system and offer tips for optimum programming. Met Gas are probably not the cheapest pumbers around Sheffield but if you want a good job done with great after-sales service we can thoroughly resommend them.
