Movers Transport has been trading since 1985, progressing from small beginnings to becoming a fully national and international removals company. During that time, we’ve forged a strong reputation for being the premier removal company in Manchester, Stockport, and the surrounding areas.
We can facilitate all aspects of a removal to suit your requirements, from small collections of goods, to entire home removals nationwide, as well as providing a storage facility within our warehouse for both short and long-term storage of your effects.

Went with Movers as a local employee owned company, so the men moving you have a stake in the business and want to do well. Couldn't have asked for more. Arrived a couple of days before and pre-loaded half our stuff. Arrived on time on our moving day and were done by 12.00. Even though we were moving to a second floor flat with no lift they were very professional and uncomplaining, even though 2 x settees up 2 flights is no easy task. Would certainly recommend Movers as a very professional firm and give value for money. Highly recommended.

Movers’ staff both at the office and on the lorries took a lot of the stress out of a complicated move! It involved a house swap, stuff going in and out of storage, pick ups/drop offs at different locations. They dealt calmly with it all, including the hiccups that were our fault! Our worldly goods were treated with respect and the guys were so friendly and professional. Our first and biggest move was on one of the hottest days of the year, but they just got on with it. The process of booking and working out the logistics of the move were also handled really well by staff. I highly recommend Movers Transport

We used Movers for our recent house move, which was the first for 26 years and involved a great deal of material. Not only that, but we also had last-minute complications with the chain, which meant that a lot of our possessions had to be kept in store for an indeterminate amount of time. The team at Movers, both in the office and on site, were absolutely brilliant. They dealt very flexibly with our complications, and very indulgently with our vast quantities of stuff! They were also good fun to have around. In a moving process that has been quite difficult, this firm made things a lot less stressful than they would have been otherwise. I strongly recommend them.

Movers have been brilliant. My move was in two stages, first into storage for several months and then to my new property. The office staff were really helpful and responded swiftly to any queries and questions. The removals guys were so efficient and friendly and fast in delivering from the lorry. I couldn’t have asked for a better service.

The Movers team packed our belongings swiftly and with care. We had to change our plans so our furniture was in storage for 3 weeks before moving to our new address. On the day we moved in, there was snow on the ground and access to the property was tricky. The Movers team were brilliant, negoatiating steps and narrow door ways with a piano and other bulky items. A week after our move, we realised a set of ladders were missing. Movers staff located them in their storage depot and delivered them to us the next day. Service and responsiveness of Movers staff on the phone was excellent. Some of their paper work could be better. They use standard BAR (trade association) terms and conditions. There were 2 sets of these and they were inconsistent in parts, especially around liability. They are also printed with very small font size and definitely wouldn't win a plain English award.

Movers Transport carried out a complex and high volume move over 5 days when my elderly parents downsized recently. They made what could have been a very fraught process relatively stress free. The men were extremely cheerful, helpful, professional, hard working, polite and flexible.
