We have been impressed with MSC Heating's service from day 1. Installing the ASHP was part of a project involving other work and there were many delays in the planning process. Martin's support was invaluable in the planning and in the official paperwork. There was a hiccup on the part of firm delivering the equipment which Martin resolved quickly and efficiently. From our point of view the actual installation went like a dream, the guys worked hard, explained what they were doing, provided guidance and advice and left the site clean and tidy. We are very pleased both with the ASHP and the service provided and do not hesitate to recommend them to others

Martin installed a Samsung heat pump and new water tank as part of a house renovation at the end of 2022 and provided a professional service throughout. One year later and everything is still running smoothly and efficiently. Throughout the whole process from initial consultation to the final installation, Martin and team provided a high level of service and showed their expertise, providing advice on the best method of installation, helping with all the regulatory paperwork and warranties, and linking us in with other contractors to help with the heat loss survey and external installation (when it transpired we needed a 5 metre tunnel digging under the garden!). He also worked collaboratively with our building contractor to assist with installation alongisde the underfloor heating system, even though that wasn't his job (though in hindsight he was better placed and had more expertise in this area so given the opportunity again we would have arranged for him to do the UHF too). Martin is extremely knowledgeable in his area of expertise, is reasonable priced but also clearly a very in-demand person, but he was always there on-site when he said he would be, was responsive and flexible to our schedule, and never failed to turn up

They worked long hours to complete the work to a tight timetable, and their expertise was evident to me (a retired mechanical engineer). Martin & Jamie did a great air source heat pump installation for us. They were lovely to have around and worked long days to get everything completed. We felt very confident that they were doing a good job and their years of experience really showed. They have heat pumps in their own homes too, so they are genuinely committed to the technology! The whole operation was seamless with the electrician (Lee Hodgson) following on immediately after the pump and rads were installed. Martin was great at communicating and when the new BUS was announced, did his best to minimise any delays. We would wholeheartedly recommend Martin without hesitation.

Installed a heat pump, radiators, water tank; essentially the works. Cleared up too..and were pleasant, competent (very), showed us what to do (and not do). Are coming back to put in the antifreeze. Reused some of the radiators, but mostly put in new bigger ones. We were very tight for time, which meant they worked long hours without complaint.

Martin replied immediately to my inquiry for a ground source heat pump. On his first visit he advised on siting plant room and a suitable system , he gave me contact details for heat loss report and a borehole engineer , both of which completed their work on time and to a high standard. He also managed to liaise with my builder to get all required ground works done to Kensa specs. The quote was reasonable and adhered to . The work didn't take many days but they were long days ! . What really impressed me was the standard of workmanship of the plumbing . Martin also sorted out the BUS grant and deleted it from my invoice even though it took a long time for him to get paid. He has been in touch since to make sure everything was working correctly and that I was completely satisfied . In summary ; nice bloke , does what he says ,on time , to a high standard . Highly recommended .

We had a hybrid system, consisting of an air source heat pump ( Samsung R32 Generation) and oil boiler, installed by MSC heating to replace our ageing oil boiler. The hybrid system was required due to the size of our home. From the initial proposal through to installation, Martin provided an excellent service, keeping us fully informed and clearly answering all our questions. Martin also supported us in completing the RHI application which went through with no issues. MSC Heating were very professional and did a great job with the installation, ensuring that everything was working as it should be and always clearing up before they left for the day The heat pump has been in place a few months now and is working well with no issues. I was introduced to Martin as a result of my initial enquiry with Kensa. From beginning to end of the project Martin kept me fully informed about progress. He was always happy to discuss technical details to ensure I got exactly the system I wanted. Unfortunately, we had some issues with a driller (not Martin's fault) which took some time to resolve. This caused serious delays and inconvenience to both Martin and I. However, when resolved (by finding another borehole driller - easier said than done at the time!) he and Jamie "pulled out all the stops" to ensure the project was finished in time to meet the RHI deadline. They worked long days in cold conditions to get the job done and all work was carried out to a very high standard. Martin and Jamie clearly take a pride in what they do. Once the system was commissioned Martin took me through the RHI application process, which was completed successfully. I am very pleased with the system which has now been running for a few weeks and is performing well.

MSC recently installed an air source heat pump for us and he was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. As soon as we began to discuss the installation with him it was clear he knew exactly what he was talking about and was extremely professional, as well as taking the time to explain anything we were unclear about. The installation itself was really fast - we were really impressed with how hard he and his colleague worked while they were here (especially as it was in the depths of December, so was pretty cold and dark outside). Both were lovely men and were a real pleasure to have in the house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend MSC Heating - and we hope they can come back to install our underfloor heating later this year!

The heat pump and associated equipment was installed with great precision. The amount of energy required to provide heating in our house has declined by around 70% as a result of the installation. This is despite the fact that our house was built in 1966 and has no special insulation measures apart from cavity wall and 370mm of loft insulation. This was achieved in four and half days including the electrician's work.

I've waited a few months before writing this review so that I could include a little about the difference having solar, battery and heat pump has made to our household. Around 3 months ago MSC Heating fitted all three systems over the course of a month and a half after having to wait around a year of ordering it (thanks Covid) I had around 4 different quotes before coming across MSC, and what made them stand out was that they actually brought in a wealth more information and honest recommendations about the relatively up and coming systems compared to the others I had spoken to. Most others were talking to salesman with a course on the subject, but MSC actually fitted them, lots of them, and it really showed. The quote was reasonable and included the best current equipment where it mattered. I can highly recommend MSC Heating for their experience with these systems, and for the shear quality in advice and fitting. Both of those are absolutely key in getting a successful ASHP system working well. My house is now continually warm all day and night, I can control almost all of it from my smart phone, and my energy bills have significantly dropped. I couldn’t be happier and look forward to seeing the guys back again next year for the first annual service!

I recently had an air source heat pump installed to replace a very old oil boiler and reached out to 4 companies initially. Martin at MSC was pretty much the only polite and professional person to respond quickly. While I did get 2 full quotes in the end, the companies worked through a salesman who you never thought were giving you the full story (eg charging me £150 for an EPC I didn’t even need). Martin was very patient with my thousands of questions and talked me through every step. He was very clear from the start what was possible with timing of the job and also what was possible with the placement of my heat pump which I was unsure about. He suggested going to look at another pump he had installed and I went to chat with the homeowner and look at the pump placement and overall install. This helped clear up a few questions in my head but also was very transparent to send me to another client before I committed any deposit etc. Martin and Jamie took three days to complete the heat pump and new tank install and all the pipework replacement and radiator replacements. They really work hard doing long days and after seeing the complexity of it all I can now appreciate the amount of work. Very good communication throughout the job explaining everything that was going on, where they would put the pipes out the house, placement of heat pump and radiators etc. Very pleased with the job and thoroughly nice guys as well, would highly recommend.

Unreliable Waste of Time
Required installation for a ground source heat pump, began communicating Nov 2020. Martyn seemed confused at every engagement what are plan was, he had a continuous list of blockers of which each one I paid premium to expedite us through… all in all Martyn reset the install date twice and then finally cancelled the installation four weeks before his “guaranteed” date. It will be difficult/ all but impossible now to find another installer for green central heating before winter and if I’m really unlucky I may not find one before RHI grant changes Mar 2022. What I also have a big issue is with is my two children in our home who this situation is not going to be ideal for reaching the end of summer and no roadmap for central heating at all… … all in all no I would not recommend this company. I did get my £6k deposit back though!

Martin at MSC Heating did a great job installing a new Samsung Air Source Heat Pump. Unlike other quotes (who used salesmen) Martin knows his stuff and arranged a proper heat loss calculation and acoustic survey. He was very patient answering all our questions and worries as this really was a leap in the dark for us, and arranged for us to visit a customer to see an ASHP in real life. He was polite, tidy and cheerful. I also loved the fact he didn’t just hire a skip but took the trouble to separate out and recycle as much as possible! Finally he helped us apply for the RHI (his estimate was spot on) and now the government will pay back the majority of the cost!! Our house is now consistently at a perfect background heat, and we have lots of hot water. We already have a few friends express interest and have wholeheartedly recommended him.

Loving my new heat pump , I was a bit worried at first , but I came across MSC heating at one of my neighbours having one installed. I thought the whole idea at first was a bit daft that you could get energy out of the air . I got chatting to one of the MSC engineers when they were actually installing a neighbours , so I went away and gained a few quotes. I didn’t find the other companies knowledgeable and seemed to be fresh to the air source heat pump industry, they did a great install and covered my house in dust sheets . Martin was very helpful from the first contact to completion of the installation. This was quite an intricate job, since I kept the exisiting gas boiler and hot water tank, but had the ASHP for heating the radiators. Fitting the additional pipes into the exiting airing cupboard took some skill by Phil. Martin took time to discuss the solution design, which necessitiated replacing 5 radiators. House is now very warm, but good efficiency from the ASHP. Martin was prompt with all the paperwork, liasing with the DNO and helpimng with the RHI application. Professional company, i reccommend them to anybody wanting an ASHP installed.

First, when choosing an air source system and getting initial advice, the service was excellent and included a weekend visit to look at the site. Unfortunately, thats where the excellence ended. Issues to deal with: *Failure to respond to annual service request - requiring me to find a new engineer * Not attending on dates agreed *Not replying to emails/messages *Poor advice with regards to the Renewable Heat Incentive, leading to a loss of £4k *Hidden costs not mentioned (floor coverings) *Some poor quality flooring not related to the age of the building (18 century house with some uneven wooden floors but also some flat concrete floors)

Originally we had MSC quote for moving a boiler and installing underfloor heating, we expanded the project to include a bathroom remodel and other minor work. Using them was one of the best decisions we made, I’m not sure the project would have been as manageable without them being able to cover so many aspects of it. The work was high quality and they were very accommodating. I would highly recommend them for both smaller heating/plumbing projects and larger general renovation projects.

The company installed a new boiler, efficiently and to the agreed quote in a day and I was satisfied at the time. As the partners left the house I enquired as to how they wanted paying and Martin responded he wanted paying that night, initially I thought it a joke but it wasn't. 2 days later the boiler stopped responding to the timer. Craig came out to fix it on the Friday again efficiently it took a bit of fault finding, I was very pleased. I had not yet paid as I wanted to make sure the system was working well. I had asked Martin what his terms of payment were on the phone call I made to contract the company to do the work, I did not receive a clear answer. There were no written Terms of payment on either the quote, invoice or web site, I should have been more careful. On Sunday night 17 march about 2130 I started getting text messages from Martin demanding payment with such comments as 'when can you pay', 'We are not a bank', 'every job installed is paid same day', 'delayed payment give us stress'. I told Martin I wished to make sure the system worked well and I would pay in 48 hrs. I got further texts, 'I am getting sick of reminders'. All this left me stressed and harassed. So customer relations are very poor and can become of a bullying nature. I think it is deceitful of the company not to be clear what their terms of payment are at the outset. Had I known I would not have contracted them. A very unpleasant experience.

On top of 5 years manufacturer's warranty, I was offered 2 more years warranty, in total 7 years warranty covers all parts and labour. This company installed a new heating system in a buy to let I own. Chose them from 3 other quotes as they were competitive and seemed to know what they were doing. Was worried about inconveniencing tenants, but they couldn't have been happier! Fitters were friendly and efficient, turned up on time, worked like Trojans to complete the job early and left no mess. MSC Heating recently upgraded my central heating system with a new boiler and radiators. Received useful advice prior to installation of our boiler that saved us a considerable amount of money compared to other companies. I scored a 5 star for their service which was reliable, exactly as agreed at time of placing order and competitively priced. The engineers arrived on time with a professional and courteous approach. My house was left clean and tidy after a day work. I also appreciated the guidance given by the engineers when choosing the type of upgrade required. The engineers were very punctual, hardworking and explained all the new functionalities of the controls in detail. I have to say this company kept to all time scales and the quote was spot on.. I will be available to give any feedback/information over the phone. Thank you to all at MSC Heating. Great Job, good prices and friendly service, would definitely recommend and will most certainly use again.

Throughout we were impressed by their punctuality and courtesy. The was not as easy installation due to age and layout of building but all the work and any associated issues were clearly explained. At the end of each day all the tools etc were cleared away so we could live in relative comfort. They finished within the allotted time scale and to this day we have experienced no problems.
