Mark came twice - first to identify the issue (the flush valve in the cistern needed replacing) and then to come back with the replacement part. He let me know what the cost would be, arrived at the time we'd arranged, and completed the job quickly and efficiently. I'm really pleased to have found a good local plumber, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Pity he didn’t show up
Mark was booked to install a shower mixer at my home today but he did not show up or answer my calls despite confirming he would do the a week ago. Mark has seen my messages on WhatsApp but has provided no explanation. I now have to cancel the tiler who was booked for next week. He is self-employed and says he has no other work booked for next week.

Hi Tom. Obviously having already spoke to you regarding this again my apologies today. I too am a sole trader and there an instances where I’m unable to attend. However, and as I said to you I am somewhat surprised that you decided to immediately leave this negative comment especially as I have done a number of jobs for you in the past. I have been working self employed for over 20 years and would never not advise a customer or not answer their call without very good reason.

We have had Mark around a couple times now for issues ranging from complete refit and installation of a boiler, to servicing and leak fixing. Mark is a plumber that is honest with his advice, does high quality work, and quickly. Since we moved to the area we wouldn’t look any further. He’s usually pretty busy as well which is always a good sign!

Quoted for and then carried out a boiler replacement, power flush of the central heating system, magnetic filter installation and Hive installation. Service was great, answered all questions we had rapidly, and the work was all done in a single day. Subsequently lost pressure in one tap, came back around and fixed this free of charge.

Mark has just serviced my boiler. He was able to book me in the next day, called me to say he could come early if I was around, did the job with no fuss and bother, communicated the results clearly, sent his invoice and certificate promptly and charged a reasonable rate. Couldn't ask for more. Will definitely use again.
