We needed a fortic tank replacing, contacted Nick after reviewing Which Trusted Traders. He visited and advised that to improve hot water flow it may be worth considering an unvented tank system. A quote and a suitable date was agreed. The job was completed on time and on budget. We found Nick to be industrious and kept us informed of progress. He left everything tidy. We have no hesitation in recommending him.

Nick attended promptly after receiving an email report that the property heating system was faulty. He investigated, diagnosed the problem and provided remedial solution to it by supplying and repacing the central heating pump of the heating system. I am a satisfied customer for a job well done and promptly attended to.

Today was the annual service of the boiler Nick installed for me a few years ago. He reminds me when the work is due to be done, he is punctual, friendly, and doesn't try to charge a huge amount. I would certainly recommend him.

This was the annual service of the boiler, which Nick had installed a few years ago. There was a broken component, which he repaired. Also, one of the radiators had a leaky tap, which he replaced.

I had suffered the strange phenomena of having to run the hot tap to get the cistern to fill with water after use of the toilet. Nick took a couple of minutes to work out what the problem was and gave me an explanation. He fetched and fitted a brand new flush valve after carefully measuring for fit. All was done after protecting the floor with a waterproof covering and making sure that the correct size of flush valve was installed. Everything to do with the cistern was cleaned before being reinstalled. He is happy to explain to the uninitiated, like me, what he is doing and why. This is the second job done for me. A good blend of experience and up to date knowledge.

Diagnose fault on boiler, replaced circuit board

Recently called Nick out to fault find a non-working boiler. Nick worked diligently throughout the afternoon and kept me informed about progress and what exactly he was doing. The fault turned out to be a circuit board in need of replacing and Nick was able to source the part and repair the boiler on the same afternoon. The pricing for this job was very reasonable. I have also used used Nick to replace 2 boiler valves in the past. I was very pleased with the service. Price was agreed in advance and he took care to clean up after the work and used dust sheets to keep workspaces clean. Nick was easy to reach via telephone and very knowledgeable in his trade providing clear answers to questions. Nick has also resolved issues with an old immersion heater at a family member's property after a franchised plumbing firm (Drain Doctor) botched the initial attempt to repair the fault. Nick was able to quickly re-do the job (install new element, repair faulty wiring due to poor workmanship) and get the immersion heater to working order and was literally 6 times cheaper than the cowboys (Drain Doctor) attending before.

Nick was friendly and had great customer service and communication from the start. He showed up on time and stayed much later than anticipated to get the work done, he fitted a new sink and tap for me along with a stop switch for the water. The job was much more fiddly in my property and Nick went above and beyond to complete the work! Thanks Nick will be in touch for any future plumbing or heating needs!
