On this occassion I had called James as I was having problems with my Wifi after Microsoft had run their regular updates. He tried to help me over the telephone but then came to my house and sorted the problem and explained to me that when Microsoft update programs they delete old ones and on this occassion they had deleted my Wifi connection. Such a relief to get it sorted so quickly. Earlier in the year I contacted James , as he was recommended, and asked him about getting a new computer. I explained that whilst I am fairly competent using the computer, I am a bit of a techna phobe. He was brilliant and built me a new computer with the same home screen I was used to and talked me through anything that was new. He set it up and transferred all my documents and files from the old one. He gave me a price for everything before he started the work, which was very reasonable. It is good to know I can contact him if I have any problems in the future. I would highly recommend OurTech services.

James set up my new laptop for me. He set up Windows 11, transferred all my documents & photos and moved across my various subscriptions. I wasn't looking forward to using the new laptop or the new Windows package, but James made it extremely easy. I can not thank him enough. He was on time, helpful, friendly and explained clearly what he was doing. I recommend him wholeheartedly

When our old laptop stopped working we didn't know what to do. We found James at Our Tech on check a trade and we were really happy with him. He is polite, professional, clearly understands what he's doing and sorted us quickly and efficiently. We now have a lovely new laptop that works really well and have the added bonus that we know we can ring James if we have a problem.

We have used James' services several times for home and business needs. On this occasion he brought us a second new and smaller Windows 11 laptop for exclusive use in our work on cruise ships. He transferred the data from our home laptop and also set up his personalised Cloud system on both laptops for instant back up. He also upgraded the memory on the new laptop to meet our storage needs for an extensive music library. All this work was done in our home, explaining as he progressed so we understood how everything worked. James is totally reliable and trustworthy and we wholeheartedly recommend his company to anyone looking for an excellent IT service, whether domestic or business.

Having spent £k’s on trying to get our WiFi working properly (large old house with thick walls), james is the only one who has finally cracked it. He is very good at what he does He is also an extremely nice young man with a great work ethic. I would highly recommend him, you will not be disappointed.

I needed a new desktop to upgrade to Windows 11 and for greater speed. James appreciated what I wanted, advised on the best specification to achieve this, and offered a fair quote, all within a reasonable period of time. He came and installed the new system, ensuring that it worked as agreed and met my requirements, and he also ensured that I was able to start using it without difficulty. The system differs much less from my old one than I had feared, and is very much faster. I can now do what I want with confidence and without fuss. James was understanding, patient, friendly and efficient. He did an excellent job, and I would recommend him to address others' issues in the same way.

I have used James's service for both setting up a new home network, and helping me set up a new Apple computer. He was professional from start to finish. James did a brilliant job building me a new computer, which I needed to move to Windows 11. He had kept my (very) old one running smoothly and efficiently for many years, but it did not have the capacity to move to Windows 11. I am very happy, particularly as he took great pains to ensure that my experience of using the new system was as seamless as possible, given what I was already familiar with. He took the trouble to make sure that I understood everything and completed the installation in a very timely and efficient way, explaining things very carefully to me. Thank you, James!

A very good experience. I wanted to upgrade from windows 10 to11 and increase the storage on my desktop. James spent time explaining all the options. He transferred all my files & software and installed a larger SSD and more RAM. The computer now looks and performs exactly as before, which is what I wanted. He clearly explained all the stages of the process. He is knowledgeable, thorough and methodical and will spend as much time as the job takes without rushing. The process was not straightforward because of hardware issues, but any problems were quickly resolved without fuss. He is very polite, friendly and professional and was happy to answer all my questions. You may have to wait, but this is a good sign and shows that he is in demand for his excellent service. I was impressed.

James attended my address with a new computer built by him. he fitted the new computer and down loaded data on old computer. I am happy with all the work he did and would recommend him to anybody with computer problems.

Jamie transferred all my files & software to a new PC as my old one could not run Windows 11. He interacted with me and clearly explained all the stages of the tfr. He is knowledgeable, thorough and methodical and will spend as much time as the job takes without rushing through it. Compared to some of the jobs i read that he undertakes mine was relatively small but i still felt like a valued customer. He is very polite and didn't mind all my silly questions. A real bonus is that he does home visits and that is good from the perspective of anyone concerned about leaving their devices away from home. The job was done at the agreed time and cost and considering it avoided me having to make two trips to a high street store, to take and then collect my pcs and be without them for a while i think his charge was very reasonable. I will now make him my first point of call for any future tech services. One point for the WHICH website managers - it took me a lot of guessing at trader titles before i hit on the correct trader title to flag up - Our Techincian. Maybe where applicable traders could be flagged under all relative titles

I hate Microsoft, I really do. But James has set it up for me to make it much easier. He always listens to my concerns when essential upgrading is required and always makes it easier for me. i've now got an option of exploring Firefox that doesn't seem too scary as well as Google (my preferred option). James has also made lots of useful adjustments. You can guess I'm not a techy person so It's great to have someone who can simplify it all.

I have used James for over 12 years, he comes every year and cleans and inputs my anti virus. This year my old laptop gave up the ghost, James knew exactly what I needed and so I asked him to order my new laptop. He came with the new laptop, transferred everything over to the new one and the set up was exactly as the old one, so not much to learn. I had a major panic recently, as I accidentally knocked my laptop, causing it to fall on the floor & in the process smashing my screen. I was on a big deadline & needed to use that laptop! I called James in a panic, asking for his help. He was brilliant & immediately put my mind at rest & assured me it was all fixable, he then came to my house & gave me some leads to connect the laptop to the TV, so I could continue with my work. He ordered a new screen, which he then fitted the next day when it arrived. All very calm & efficiently dealt with, despite my initial panic! I would absolutely recommend James.
