Great service
I had a leaking radiator valve and looked at the Oxyplumb website and found Leigh was offering video calls to diagnose faults. We set up a call and he was very quickly able to offer advice that allowed me to fix the problem myself. Fantastic service all for free. I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you have a small problem to fix.

Leigh was prompt in responding to my first email and the guys turned up on time and did a great job fitting a new shower pump. The cost was just the cost of the part and an hour's labour. Completely transparent and great value. Another little job, the leaky shower head, was fixed without me asking and no cost. I'll definitely use again.

Complete installation of Heating and sealed water system

Having had a 35 year old warm air system for heating, we required a full retro installation of radiators and heating systems to the house. The options Leigh gave us allowed us to make an informed choice of just how far we wanted to go. Deciding on a fully pressurized water system and 11 designer radiators, the job was quoted for and completed on budget. Could we have found a cheaper price? Possibly, but I had confidence that Oxyplumb would get it right first time. The team spent a full 3 weeks installing the pipe work, running and testing the installation. Removing the old system and clearing down. Knowing that we were going onto re-fit bathrooms and kitchen, Roberto the lead installer located everything from boiler, two water tanks and Wifi management system to the rear of the garage, keeping the house clear. In the process he moved the main stop cock to the garage and providing both isolation taps to the hot and cold water with full drain down ports for each. I have had Oxyplumb come and help with the gas installation as part of the kitchen upgrades again just this week. Their installers not only know their jobs but are polite and helpful throughout.

We had a new boiler fitted and a power flush done as the heating was not working properly downstairs as well as one radiator replaced and an outside tap fitted. Oxyplumb told us we also needed thermostatic radiator valves fitted to each radiator. Since this work was done we have found out the flue on the boiler was not sealed in accordance with regulations, that the power flush was done in the wrong place and therefore ineffective and a waste of money, the thermostatic radiator valves were not essential and should not be fitted on every single radiator anyway (so more money wasted) and the piping for the outside tap was simply trailed across the loft with no insulation or anything and a really messy job made of it through the walls. Luckily (now we realise how bad the work was) Oxyplumb were supposed to quote for additional work to make the heating work but despite chasing they never did. We have spent another year without proper heating and a lot of time with other plumbers trying to understand what was wrong with the heating if the powerflush didn’t work to realise the powerflush might as well not have been done. We have now had to spend additional money having the poor work rectified as well as the money wasted already. A really disappointing experience.
