I have used Geoff at Palmer for several years to do the annual maintenance on the boiler, with good results, so I had no doubts asking him to do the above repairs/additions. He promptly prepared a quote, which seemed very reasonable and, upon my acceptance, immediately organised a convenient date to do the work. He arrived at the time agreed and tidily completed the work in the timespan that he had agreed and at the agreed price. Once he had completed he removed the old radiators and packaging and other rubbish and cleaned up the rooms afterwards. I would have no problem using him again and would recommend him .

Geoff arrived at my property exactly on the arranged time. He replaced our old, faulty boiler and replaced with a new one. He took away the old boiler. He delivered the job on time and on the agreed quoted amount. He’s really pleasant to deal with and I enjoy having him in my home. He’s honest, reliable, an expert at what he does and nice. I’d definitely recommend him.

Worcester Greenstar PCB fail - Palmer Maintenance Services resolved within hours!

Boiler failed overnight. Called Palmer Maintenance Services at 1000. Geoff was here at 1130. Diagnosed, sourced and collected new PCB with job completed by 1330. Absolutely thrilled with the responsiveness and speedy resolution. As Geoff is an accredited Worcester Bosch engineer, he was also able to get some prompt telephone assistance directly from them regarding the specific config/wiring of my boiler, which saved lots of trial and error and got me up and running as soon as possible.

I have used Geoff before for boiler repairs/service/replacement. I needed a new boiler in one of my rental flats and Geoff gave good advice and supplied and fitted a brand new boiler at a competitive price complete with 10 year manufacturers warranty for peace of mind. He was punctual, tidy and efficient in his work and did exactly as he said he would. Would not hesitate to recommend him again!

Geoff had installed the boiler two years ago. He carried out the annual maintenance last year satisfactorily so I called him again for the same reason this time. The work was carried out on time and all as agreed. I had nor have any issues to report. I would use Geoff again where appropriate, and would recommend talking to him for the services provided.

On 12 May, Palmer Maintenance visited as scheduled and charged the agreed £114 to diagnose a boiler problem and provide an estimate for repair. Despite my emails and phone calls, the repair estimate never materialised. I even gave them the spare part number which I got myself from Baxi ! Eventually, I had to call out and pay another company to repeat the diagnostics and then do the repair. Two weeks without hot water, no explanation and £114 wasted. I always use Which? Trusted Traders but would certainly not recommend this firm.

Carried out boiler service as requested & charged agreed amount for boiler service & informed landlord of fault on boiler! The tenant informed me the boiler had not been working correctly for “months” but the landlord had done nothing about it. Landlord did not agree with fault diagnosis and said that could not be possible on a boiler about two years old, I therefore suggested he contacted manufacturer to get the boiler fixed under warranty. Landlord then came back to me requesting me to carry out repair & he would supply part, I informed him we do not carry out work with customer supplying parts in case it’s the wrong part or not genuine part which we can not therefore guarantee the repair. I then quoted him supply & fit price for repair and he did not come back to me instructing us to carry out repair. As you can see buy our 5 Star 188 reviews we always carry out work professionally and immediately when requested to do so!

I called Palmer Maintenance on Monday as I had no hot water, having been referred to him by Worcester Bosch, who said he was one of their recommended providers. Geoff came out within a few hours and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was very professional, good at explaining what the problem was, and worked very speedily. Couldn't really ask for anything better!

Geoff was timely and worked very hard. The task before him was to repair a leaky joint one my main water pipe and to replace a 13-year-old boiler that had gone phut! He arrived when he said he would and covered my downstairs floors with a protective covering to guard against dirt. He knew exactly what he had to do and so I left him to it. The leaky pipe was repaired and the new Valiant boiler looked so much better than the old one fitting into the cupboard well. During testing, he ensured all my radiators were working, even a couple that I didn't realise weren't working. With all that done he tidied and cleanup. Very impressed, and will employ his services again.

Geoff answered my call immediately and acted in a very professional manner. He was able to attend very quickly to assess the work to be carried out showing me what had happened. He was able to resolve the problem efficiently even though we are a busy pharmacy & showed good health and safety protocol. The task was completed the same day at a very reasonable price, a VAT invoice was sent to me the same day, extremely happy with the work & will definitely hold onto the number if needed. Thoroughly recommended.

Geoff fitted me a new boiler a few years ago and I have had him back on a yearly basis for servicing. He is alway prompt and efficient, never leaves a mess and only carries out the work that is necessary. He has always explained what was needed and why on the occasions that any extra work was done. Standard boiler service requested on 3 year old boiler. Nothing expected and nothing found except missing end tubing to gas flue outside house. Without explaining to my wife what it would cost, went off to get replacement from local supplier. Charged full service fee again for what should have been a short trip. Basically doubled the cost in a classic servicing ‘pick-up’. Very unhappy.

I am sorry that you feel that your experience with Palmer Maintenance Services was not to your expectations however there could have been possible serious health issues from Co2 poisoning if I had not noticed and discussed the problem with you: I attended your home to service your boiler and quoted and agreed an price. Upon nearly finishing I went outside to check the flue termination and I found the end was missing. I spoke to your wife and showed her and she informed me you had had lots of building work completed and it must have been damaged. I explained I would have to turn the boiler off as it was dangerous and issue a warning notice or alternative try and get the part and fix it at additional cost. She informed me she did not want the boiler switched off and instructed me to try and get the part to repair it. I was unable to get the part on its own from stock locally, so I purchased a complete flue at the cost of £90.00 to myself, removed the end from it and ordered a replacement part so I could use the flue at a later date so I would not have to return and switch there boiler off. In total it took approximately 2 hours to complete a 30 minutes service. I believe in this situation I went above and beyond to help you in this matter, if the problem was not noticed and fixed by me you could have had serious health issues from CO2 poisoning.
