Shaun insulated and boarded our loft, as well as creating a new hatching and installing lighting and a ladder. The results are excellent. Shaun was swift and clear in communication, and extremely diligent. Could not recommend highly enough.

We have had our loft boarded, had shelving put in, new lights, new ladder and a new lock on the hatch. The preparation was excellent with all of the old wooden platforms etc removed. It was completed to schedule (in fact they took a bit of extra time to ensure it was a perfect finish), was precisely what they said it would cost. They are knowledgeable, professional and have been brilliant with recommendations, information and communication - we cannot recommend their services highly enough and will absolutely call on them again in the future. Shaun explained over the phone our best options in choices of ladder, dependent on the space, and suggested a strip light, wired in, his price was very reasonable and we booked a date Shaun turned up 5 minutes early and got straight to work. He made an expert assessment and explained our loft insulation was inadequate and could do with topping up and raised boards. This was something that was on my To-Do list. Today, Thursday 30th October, we needed a loft ladder and strip light and within 3 hours Shaun had installed everything, fixing the inadequate light wiring connection held together by duct tape and demonstrated how to safely use the ladder. At last, peace of mind, no more standing on a rickety ladder and hoping I wouldn't drop as I pulled myself up! Shaun did an excellent job and his installation provided a solution to a much vexatious problem. Our next project with Shaun will be insulating the whole of the loft and laying new raised boards down.

Sean came to give us an estimate and advice as to what sort of loft and hatch we could have - ours being an older house. He was full of ideas, very receptive to our questions and suggestions. Estimate arrived within hours. He fitted a new hatch and ladder and boarded an area of the loft and changed the original hatch door and boarded small part of the loft there ( low beams meant that it wasn't much use but we are now able to use some of it). Agreed schedule and budget were honoured, in fact he did well to finish due to horrendous traffic problems locally. Very friendly and polite, excellent communication skills. He carried out work for our daughter too, and she had similar experience.

I was impressed with Shaun of Peak Lofts from the time of initial contact. He took the time to answer all my queries, communicating information both by phone and email. He is very experienced and is able to explain the pros and cons of the various options available. I had no hesitation in accepting his recommendations. Shaun relaid previously laid insulation, removed excess insulation and various unwanted items, laid loft boarding, installed a new LED light and a wooden loft ladder. At the start of the works he was confronted with unexpected additional work which he carried out without complaint. Throughout the works he was polite, courteous and kept me fully informed of progress. He was meticulous about keeping dust and dirt to the minimum by cleaning up as he went along. I am very pleased with the quality of the completed works.

Shaun responded to my enquiry with an itemised quote in a couple of days. He was very professional, competent, and worked diligently to complete the job in a day and a half. The weather was very hot and he installed boarding, a walkway, shelving, and a loft ladder, which all looked amazing upon completion. From his first visit, Shaun stood out as the most personable, straightforward and competent, from all companies I invited for quotes. One company had suggested a well-known fold-out wooden loft ladder system that Shaun correctly pointed out wouldn't have the physical clearance space to unfold. He talked through various options, tailoring his suggestions in line with how I used my loft. I will start our review stating that a suitcase fell on my head out of the loft when my husband was putting them away. The next week our neighbour had a van outside his house 'Peak Lofts'. He spoke to Shaun whilst he was working next door and within 2 weeks we were having the loft boarded and a ladder erected at a very good price. Shaun is a really lovely guy nothing is too much trouble, he worked in the heat that we had last week and after each day you would not know he had been. From the outset this was a good service. The booking process was efficient and I was given advice and options to consider at that point: on the day of installing the new loft ladder and hatch the work was done efficiently and I was given clear instructions how to use. Peak Lofts have just finished refurbishing our loft to a very high standard indeed, replacing old boards with a raised floor, topping up the insulation and fitting new LED lighting and shelving, not to mention relocating and widening our old hatch and repairing the ladder. Shaun was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and tidied up so well, we would never have known any works had been carried out (at least from outside the loft)! In fact, an absolute pleasure to have around for a few days.
