About

I (Peter Whiting) began working as an electrical apprentice in 1983, this was a full 5 year apprenticeship. On finishing my apprenticeship I set up my own business as a sole trader in 1988. The limited business began trading in June 2002.

The business is family run and some of the electrical services we offer are shown in the details below.

You will see I have many reviews showing despite only being endorsed as a Which? Trusted Trader from April 2018. The reviews I have from before this time are from Which? Members who have used my services and recommended me to other Which? Members. (These reviews are from Which? Replace outside light, install a new socket in kitchen, fit new ceiling rose in dining room and hallway. I'm very pleased with his work it was all carried out on time, on budget and in a very professional and friendly way.

Peter fitted a heavy industrial light at the top of my stairs. He is professional and got back to me quickly when I contacted him. I was impressed by the attention to detail when fitting the light making sure it was exactly how I liked it. I'm very happy with the work and would recommend Peter without hesitation.

We cold-called Peter at short notice on a Saturday with an electrical socket fault. Peter arrived within two hours and diagnosed the problem with full explanation and demonstration that had gone awry. He replaced the damaged sockets without fuss and gave us advice / recommendation on how to get the damaged dishwasher fixed or replaced. Lovely feller as well.

Peter is one of those men that come along in your life and you never want to let them go!! But seriously, he came to our aid to fix lights and sort our immersion heater and then again for an emergency washing machine nightmare. He is professional, friendly, knows his stuff but above all incredibly trustworthy. He is upfront on costs and explains exactly what he is doing and why. He never does that whistle through his teeth thing or says 'that's gonna cost you'. Knowing that I had two small children he did prioritise me which makes such a difference when you have mountains of washing to do! Fundamentally I couldn't recommend him highly enough.
