We contacted Chris to assist with the design and fit out of a new home office in our spare room. He helped us come up with a design and measurements and gave us lots of options in terms of different materials and finishes to fit with our budget. He was professional from start to finish, keeping us updated on timescales in terms of the delivery of materials and when he would be able to come to do the fit out. The installation was quick and he left the room spotless. He came in and got on quietly (as can be with joinery equipment) and we trusted him throughout the process. We're really happy with the quality and the overall finish. It's exactly what we envisaged. We have already asked Chris to quote for some other home storage solutions around our home and wouldn't hesitate to re book.

A very unsightly small kitchen needed to be replaced within a tight budget but I wanted a bit of a wow factor. Chris understood the brief, worked hard to see I was happy with his proposal and quotation then undertook the job. Very tight working area in the hottest week of the summer didn’t phase him. Chris was very meticulous in the build and I was particularly impressed at how he resolved the issue of concealing the gas boiler and pipe work. I also thought the fitting of a splashback to cover old tiles an ingenious and effective solution to transform the kitchen within my budget. Job completed on time, within budget with work to a very high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Chris for fantastic service and he has delivered an outcome I am delighted with.

I have just had two wardrobes and a large storage cupboard installed by Chris of Pickford and Dyche. He was excellent throughout the whole process , giving good advice whilst listening to my requirements. His quote was very reasonable too, and his work is very good,but also kept to appointment times and kept the mess and disruption in my small flat to a minimum . CMA Joinery designed, made and installed fitted wardrobes and shelving for my bedroom in February 2022. The level of skill and service from Chris and his team was excellent, from initial consultation, to the design and fitting processes, to the final result, which was even better than I had envisaged it to be. Chris is an expert but also very personable: he took time to discuss various options, made sure that everything was perfect and cleaned up each day after the work was complete. He was also very accommodating with regard to some access problems to my city-centre flat, including having to rearrange the fitting date at fairly short notice. The whole CMA team was polite and professional throughout. Custom joinery is not cheap but the price was reasonable given the time, materials and skill involved, and less expensive than other companies that I contacted (none of whom wanted to visit in person to give me a quote and relied on photos, unlike Chris who came round to look at the space and discuss my ideas before quoting). We have used Chris a couple of times now for joinery work in our home. This has included fitting new doors/rehanging existing doors/planing and boxing in windows. All the work has been done to an extremely high standard. In addition, Chris is polite and courteous and extremely tidy - making a great job of cleaning up after he's finished. We will definitely use Chris again when we have any more joinery requirements and highly recommend him to do a good, and very well priced job.

CMA has recently finished remodeling our kitchen to include a WC space and installing new kitchen units. All work has been finished to a high standard and with a great eye for detail. As a result of their problem solving and willingness to go beyond the usual solutions we have a unique kitchen, with which we are delighted. CMA stepped in when our original contractor lost capacity when a member of his team left. As a result work has taken longer than we'd hoped, largely down to the busy schedule of each of the traders involved in the project. However the end result has been worth the wait! CMA and the traders he has engaged to get the job done have been friendly and professional, delivering high quality results. Many thanks to all.

Chris built a walk-through wardrobe area between our bedroom and ensuite. He was able to use the full height of the room for maximum storage. We took a while to choose the colour and finalise the layout but there was no pressure from Chris. There were supply issues with the laundry basket we wanted and we didn’t like the substitute but Chris quickly found a different solution which worked better and came back to fit it as soon as it arrived. Really happy with our new wardrobes.

Chris has built 3 alcove bookcases and a garden bench for us. We are really pleased with the quality of the work he has done for us and how clean and tidy he has been throughout the work. Chris has kept us updated throughout and been very reliable. We would definitely use CMA joinery again.

We have been delighted with the work recently undertaken by Chris. He has replaced doors, boxed in windows and rehinged some cupboard doors for us and has done a great job. Chris turned up when arranged, cleaned up after himself and just got on with his work. When he came across a couple of minor issues, he liaised with us to make sure we were happy with his suggested remedy. I’ve become wary about using tradesmen based on reviews as we’ve had some pretty poor experiences, even when the reviews have suggested they were good tradesmen, but we can definitely confirm that Chris deserves all his good reviews and we won’t hesitate to use him again.

Work: Alcove shelving and cupboards to a bespoke design. Understairs storage and doors. Reasonable quotes. Took time to have discussions about all the options, offered good advice, and took time to finalise on a design in keeping with my wishes. Turned up when agreed and good communication throughout. Excellent craftsmanship.
