Out of three companies who came to quote for the removal of our old gravity fed boiler and hot water tank positioned unhelpfully in the loft we chose ProHeat. They were competitively priced, offered 0% interest finance, a free first boiler service and were reliable in their communication. The two engineers who came worked solidly and efficiently and completed the job in the stated time with the minimum amount of mess and stress - they made a difficult task look easy. From the quote to customer service to the actual engineers we could not fault them and would highly recommend the company...we even received an amazing bouquet of flowers from them after we had signed the job off which was a great surprise; unusual but much appreciated! Diagnosis of the problem was quick and the engineer gave a clear explanation of the faults and the recommended work. The subsequent replacement work was carried out for a reasonable price (parts and labour). The engineer visiting always wore boot covers and provided a good description of the work that had been completed. The original fault has been rectified.

Excellent Annual Gas Boiler and Cylinder Service Darren from Pro-heat arrived promptly, worked hard, and was pleasant, cheery and helpful, to carry out our annual gas boiler service. James did an excellent job replacing bathroom taps, some of which were almost impossible to remove due to corrosion. However, James overcame these problems and did a very professional job despite space restrictions and completed the work inside the allocated time slot. Very happy with this work.

From beginning to end Proheat were nothing but professional and helpful. Right from the point of quotation, communication was excellent. Great explanations of planned works and all questions answered. The visiting tradesmen were all skilled and knowledgeable and worked very hard. Very thorough job completed to replace and relocate the boiler and clean out the existing radiators. Price seemed very fair after considering several quotes. Clean and tidy working and the team were friendly whilst respectful of being in our home. From start to finish this company was exceptional. A historical awful experience with another gas company meant we were really nervous about having the 22yr old gas boiler and electric immersion heater replaced in our new house. Yet from the initial meeting with the owner to the work being completed, we couldn’t be more impressed. The engineers arrived on time and worked relentlessly both days to get everything completed to an exceptional standard. The guys were courteous, polite, hard working and amazingly thorough. They left our house so spotless you wouldn’t believe we’d had a major job done. There really isn’t a single thing we could fault. The scope of the work was: to replace my old and failing gas boiler with a new smart Worcester Bosch boiler; all the heating controls and lastly, service my HW cylinder. The quotation process was quick and efficient and we discussed several options. Did I get value for money - absolutely. Of course, if you look hard, you might find cheaper options online but having the whole job done, with one (local) company, is so much better. In terms of meeting our agreed schedule and budget, the answer is yes. There were a couple delays, caused by the non-availability of hardware, but the company kept me informed throughout. I am entirely satisfied that Pro Heat did everything they could do, to remain on target. The installation team were clean, efficient and courteous. Support from the main office was effective and polite. I would have no hesitation in recommending Pro Heat of Newark to anyone. Indeed, I already have.

First-time user. Made an appointment three weeks delay as a backlog of work. No Problem. On the appointed day no engineer. The office said we should have been notified. New appointment made only to be cancelled later. The third appointment was kept but the following day found thermostat on the boiler had been left on maximum and radiators and hot water were very hot. For disabled occupant could have been dangerous. Small water leak coming from inside the boiler during operation. The engineer attended and rectified. Could have been a better experience.

I have used Pro-heat 3 times this year from fitting a new oil boiler to supplementary works later including a new outside oil tank and thermostatic values inside. Each time the quoting process was efficient and the works undertaken were all carried out professionally politely and with care and attention to detail. We had our 17 year old Baxi 105e boiler replaced with a Worcester Bosch 4000 30KW. We had David come on-site to work out the costs and discuss the options available. Very agreeable and pleasant and not pushy at all. Straight away makes you feel good about the company. Once the price was agreed we had the work scheduled in for a 2 day visit as we had other work done at the same time, removing old lead pipe work and fitting a new radiator. Ryan fitted the boiler, mostly completed on the first day with the radiator on day two. This was along with the chemical flush. All went well. The pipework is very neat and tidy. An excellent job all round. The only issue we had, which is not Pro-Heats fault, was that the mains gas pressure was a little low. We had Cadent out to fix that problem which did mean moving the meter outside the garage. Once that work was done, Ryan came back and commissioned the boiler. All in all, the work was excellent and Ryan went above and beyond to get the boiler finished once Cadent did their bit. Will highly recommend Pro-Heat to anyone interested in a new boiler.

I just thought that I’d write and tell you that I am very happy with the work that the team leader and his team have done for me. As this house was built in the early 1800’s and has never had a central heating I’m sure that it presented a few problems, however, the team got on and made a superb job of fitting a complete system from oil storage tank to fitting of flat panel radiators and outdoor boiler. The guys were particularly kind, sympathetic and accepting of my health problems. I couldn’t have wished for a nicer, more cheerful bunch of guys. I would have no hesitation in recommending “Pro-Heat heating and plumbing” to any other prospective customers. Unprofessional and Dangerous
I'll copy below the feedback I gave to my landlord after 2 engineers from this company attended my property over 2 days. "Further to the boiler installation by Pro Heat on Wednesday and Thursday 26th and 27th May 2021 and our 'phone conversation yesterday, I want to list the various issues I raised, formally, in an email, as well as a few more that have come to light since. 1. One (or both) of the engineers used my toilet without asking first. They left faeces in the bowl unflushed at lunchtime and urine marks on the rim. This is unacceptable at any time let alone during a pandemic. 2. Neither engineer wore facemasks. 3. They didn't dust sheet any of the kitchen before drilling holes in the ceiling and wall so every surface is covered in dust at the minimum, some with small gravelly bits from the drilled bricks. 4. The pipe installation above the new boiler is a mess and an eyesore for a residential property. It will need to be boxed in. 5. The pipes they installed under the sink area haven't been clipped and have been left supporting themselves. I have every suspicion that a cheap quote was put in by Pro Heat and thus a cheap job was completed, however this will undoubtedly lead to follow up work being required at a further cost to the owner.". I'd leave 0 stars if that was possible.

Dear Customer Can I firstly say that I wish you had contacted me before leaving this feedback, as all the issues you have raised could very easily have been explained and resolved. I will address the points in turn. 1.Our engineers never use customer toilets. The material in the toilet was in fact sludge from the header tanks that were removed. The engineer judged this to be a better option than a potential spillage taking this through the property. I apologise that the toilet was not cleaned thoroughly but I can assure you it was not faeces. 2.All Pro-Heat employees adhere to current Covid-19 guidelines. (Which is attested in the previous feedback). 3.During installations our engineers always use dust sheets, plastic floor protectors and overshoe covers as appropriate. However, it is inevitable that some dust will be created due to the nature of the work. Apologies if every area was not cleaned thoroughly. 4.The existing pipes above the boiler are clearly a necessity and having reviewed the photos taken by the engineer there's is nothing more we could do within our remit of upgrading the boiler. You are, of course, welcome to box in these pipes if you wish. 5.Not clipping the new pipes under the sink was an oversight and we sent an engineer to rectify this the day after we were made aware via this review being posted. On a general note, i can assure you we do not do "cheap jobs" and that your landlord will not be charged any extra. We are very proud of our work standards.

A failed tap and an unusual replacement that did not seem to fit the existing space and filter system did not stop the Pro-Heat engineer. I was most impressed by his determination to solve the problem - which he did! He then took the trouble to show me and explain what he had done. Pro-Heat were also very quick to make an initial visit and always either came when they said they would or notified me if there was a delay. The engineers were polite and adhered to Covid security. The cost was also very reasonable. I do not hesitate in recommending them.

Excellent value for money; also had a radiator installed same day. Previous boiler on its last legs after well over 20 years service, noisy and smelly! New boiler runs well, no where near as noisy. All work completed same day, a 'fitter' returned 2 weeks later to finish off the flue (had to wait for cement to set solid). Had a couple of issues, because when draining radiators, a great deal of water leaked out. To be fair the mess was cleared up, but as I'm a wheelchair-user, it pretty much wrecked that bit of carpet as it became stretched and rucked up and no budget left to replace or have the damage repaired unfortunately. In all my years of experience with plumbers, builders and tradespeople, never ever experienced that before! Yes the carpet's over 20 years, but it did upset me. My advice to consumers, ensure you have something handy to limit that sort of accident. However, despite that, on the whole I'm pleased with the work carried out, done on time, did not cost more than original quote/estimate, and came within budget. Have had the work of many tradespeople over the years, and on the whole I'd say these were pretty competent, and did good work. A fitter returned a day or so later as I had a minor leak from one radiator, so on the whole I'd recommend these, because they listen, are responsive and obviously do good work. One last comment - new boiler and system up and running, hardly hear any sounds from inside the house! Soooooo peaceful.

Where to begin! I have a boiler which is a few years old at my rented house which I booked to have its annual service with Pro-heat. I have never had any problems with the boiler. After the boiler was serviced, and signed off as being safe, a catalogue of disasters happened. When the engineer left, the pressure was on 3 and one of the valves was left open. My tenant (who understandably knew nothing about boilers) noticed these 2 things but didn't realise they were so significant. The hot water stopped working, the pressure was all over the place, there was a leak from the outside pipe, and water was coming through the ceiling above the shared passage. Fortunately, there was a plumber at the house next door, and he confirmed that the leak was coming from a burst pipe in the bathroom, which was due to the erratic pressure of the boiler. He noticed that the valve was open, and shut it immediately as he said it should not be open. On reporting the above to Pro-heat, I was aggressively spoken to and called a liar. They blamed my tenant for breaking the boiler, and refused to accept any responsibility. After a very unpleasant 30 mins, they agreed to go back and look at the boiler. They turned up for 15 minutes, were very angry, and made her feel very uncomfortable. I have since learnt that they left a valve open on a boiler in a house on the next street (exactly the same as our problem) and that when they complained responsibility was again denied! AWFUL!

Dear Customer in Nottinghamshire I am unclear as to why you would leave such a largely untrue and unpleasant review on a public forum when we have been nothing but professional, helpful and sympathetic to your situation. Having serviced the boiler in your tenanted property on Thursday 25th Feb, we left the premises satisfied that the boiler was safe and in good working order. We subsequently discovered that your tenant spotted a potential issue with the boiler on Sunday 28th Feb. Unable to contact us out of hours I can only assume that she contacted you, her landlord, to report the issue. However, the issue went ignored as no attempt was made to contact Pro-Heat so we could help resolve. We were only contacted on the 12th of April, by your tenant, where we agreed to attend on the 14th, that week, to assess the situation and establish a course of action to resolve any issues. Necessary due to the time elapsed. By the time or our 30 minute phone call on the 13th, this appointment had already been booked and confirmed. Our engineer attended at the agreed time and reported back that the tenant was perfectly pleasant with him and at no point expressed any suggestion that she felt uncomfortable or that he was angry towards her. Your suggestion is simply untrue. I am very sorry that you felt our usual considerate, professional approach was not adequate and as a business owner yourself, I'm sure you appreciate the damage false reviews can do to genuine businesses. My 6-yr old Worcester Bosch Oil Boiler developed an intermittent but frequent fault which, in the end, needed a boiler reset every 5 minutes or less. It had also started making an odd sound immediately after shutting down. Pro-Heat's man, Charlie, had never seen anything like the intermittent but, with a couple of phone calls to an equally confused WB engineer, persevered to narrow the fault down to the capacitor, and the odd sound to the oil pump bearing. He ordered the parts, came back, and replaced both the capacitor and the new pump. The boiler now works as advertised, stays on when it's told to and not only shuts down when asked but shuts up too! The engineer was on time and even put disposable covers over his shoes before entering the house. A gas boiler safety check was performed and even a gas pressure check to make sure there were no leaks inside the property. A minor gas pressure drop was detected and a leak under the hob was found and rectified. Very pleased with the service and would highly recommend Pro-Heat to anyone.

For years we have had different plumbers and contracts to service our boiler. It has taken time and effort to find people to do it or the regular contract had to be chased every year. At last we have found a company that does what it says it will do . The service was prompt, efficient and honest. Both Darren and Jack turned up on or before the appointment time and worked cleanly and efficiently. We ended up opting for a new boiler but were never pushed to do so, we felt the repair on an 11 year old boiler would be better invested in a new one. Both men were extremely polite, cleaned up well and left no damage anywhere in the property. We are delighted with their work.

I've reviewed before when a new boiler was installed, 5* all perfect. Now a year later, 1st service is due. Reminder email arrives saying service is due, 1 minute call later its booked. Cheerful man turns up bang on time, does service, cleans up and goes off to his next job. What more do you need? No doubt same review will be left this time next year. Lots of people promise a good job, a good price, trained staff etc. Not everyone delivers. These do.

Pro-Heat have fitted a new Worcester Bosch boiler to my Victorian house and in typical old building style things didn't go quite to plan. The team were amazing and got us up and running very quickly. The quote was good, the communcation prior to fitting spot on, Jack (the plumber) arrived on time and got on with the job dealing with problems professionally and efficiently so we were never left without hot water overnight. Thanks Pro-Heat we will be using your service again for our plumbing and heating needs

We were very pleased with the service we received from Pro-heat of Newark. From the survey through to the installation their service was first class. The guy who did the installation was courteous and friendly took the time to explain the different aspects of the work. There was a minor problem with the condenser pipe which they rectified within an hour of me ringing them. Would recommend this company and would defiantly use them again.

This is the second time I've used ProHeat Newark and I'm very happy with their service. No offence to other heating engineers but the ProHeat engineers that I've met just seem to be more intelligent, more competent and nicer people! No sucking of teeth and saying "that will be expensive", they just get on with it to a professional standard. Professional and good value for money.

I have had pro heat out to the house 3 times since in the past 2 month for a problem with the boiler. They have always arrived on time if not earlier. They are always friendly and helpful. The problem with my boiler resulted in a part needing to be replaced. The estimated price of replacement was the exact price it cost. I would highly recommend this company and the people working there.

The young man seemed to be efficient and was friendly helpful when asked. The surrounding part to the gas fire however has not been put back quite right which means I have to remove the switch surround to turn it on. Some of the metal surround is too close to the heating element and this is not right, I can also see former paintwork which I could not see before. The young man took 5 phone calls whilst working with me - he may have been conferring but it seems a lot. The appointment was for 11 and he came at 20 to 10 and it took 2 hours which may be normal. I would like this fixed before I make payment. I think it would be helpful to confer with me a little more about what is going on as it was a long session but he did answer my questions when asked. I do have confidence that it is safe overall but would like this put right now.

Hello Firstly, I am sorry to hear you were not 100% happy with the service provided and that you did not contact us directly to help us immediately resolve the situation. However, as you have chosen to use this platform, I will address the points raised. Our records show that the appointment was booked and agreed for 10.00 AM on Friday the 22nd of February and as you say our engineer arrived 20 minutes early at 9.40 AM. The average time required to service a back boiler unit and fire front is approximately 90 minutes, however it took slightly longer as the appliances had not been serviced for 2 years - as you informed the engineer. Our engineers are extremely thorough, diligent and work to our own high standards as well as fulfilling the requirements of being Gas Safe registered. I am sure that the calls the engineer took or made were relevant to the job in hand or his other appointments that day as we do not permit personal calls during working hours. As of today, we have spoken on the telephone and arranged for a different engineer to attend your property this Friday the 1st of March, at your convenience, to resolve any outstanding issues. This is the first correspondence between us directly and I am confident that following this visit on Friday your confidence in Pro-Heat will be restored. Used Worcester's web site to find approved boiler people to fit a new one. Before the third quote had arrived decision had been made to use PH. Impressed by his visit to quote, personality, knowledge and the information given. Job started on agreed day, half way through a bit of a hiccup, a problem, these things happen. It's not what the problem is that matters, it's the way that it's resolved that counts. Very happy with the result, very happy with the work, very happy with the workforce. Now looking towards a long term relationship when they return in 12 months for servicing.

My kitchen tap required replacing as the very regular, and annoying, dripping from the spout had become worse. It was also leaking from one of the valves, despite having new valves fitted by a local plumber last year. Rather than 'mess about' with replacing the valves again, which really was a waste of money, I decided to replace the entire tap via a Which? Trusted Trader. Pro-Heat were excellent in their response and carried out the task quickly, efficiently and to my satisfaction. Communication, prior to the engineer's visit, was excellent and I was able to choose my replacement tap from a selection offered to me via a hyperlink.

From quote to end of work Pro heat came across as being very professional, was given a date and time for work to commence, arrived home at the end of the first day to find Jack still there tidying up and clearing away the parts he had removed, he explained what had been done that day and what would be carried out next day, Jack was very helpful, tidy and considerate, work completed by the end of second day, new timer explained, house left clean and tidy. I have used Pro Heat Plumbing on two occasions, firstly on my rented house and then on my own property having new boilers fitted in both. From the onset the communication was good and they aimed to please. All of the lads were polite and cheerful as was the lady in the office. The team of workers on both occasions were efficient, knew their job, worked well together and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.They were very respectful of my properties and used protective film for my stairs and disposable shoes. They worked through any problems together and communicated well between themselves sharing ideas and suggestions. Charlie went out of his way to do his best to finish the job on the day after experiencing problems earlier on in the day with the gas pressure...he stayed until late making sure that we had hot water and that everything was working well before he left and insisted on cleaning everything up afterwards in spite of me saying that I would do it as it was so late. He is a credit to the team! The company should be proud of the work they do and the way they treat their customers....on both occasions I received a basket of flowers, a really nice gesture! I was impressed by everything. Thank you!

Our old oil fired boiler died a death and I couldn't find anyone local so I chanced my luck and went further a field. From my first point of contact over the phone with the office staff, I was given friendly and supportive advice and I was left feeling that at last I had found an exceptional company. Phil their oil engineer came out promptly and advised that we needed a new unit and arranged a meeting with his colleague David as to move this forward. David came out to the house a few days later, sorted the admin and arranged the install 2 days later. Phil turned up bright and early on the day with the new apprentice (a very well mannered and capable young lad) and carried out the removal and install in 8 hours!!! Both the guys were extremely polite, professional and dedicated to ensuring we were in the lap of comfort before they left. The installation was faultless and tidy. Phil is definitely an asset to the company. A few days later, we got a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates delivered to the house, thanking us for the custom. This company set an example in all aspects of customer service from point of inception to the end product that other companies could really learn from. A real team, it seems. I now have a well installed, quality product with 8 years warranty and the peace of mind that it will be serviced correctly and done in a flexible manner beneficial to both parties. Having approached Pro-Heat on a Wednesday afternoon, I was absolutely desperate for a boiler to be serviced so that I could complete on a house move as I needed a gas safety certificate. Pro-Heat knew how desperate I was and they could've charged me over the odds due to my situation. However, they didn't, they had an engineer with me within 48 hours and the work was completed so that I could progress with my house move. Not only that, but they charged me the standard price, they didn't inflate the price at all. They provided a top class job, in an amazingly quick time. 100% recommend this firm.

Did an excellent job, fitted a new boiler in the garage, removed the old one that was fitted in the dining room , fitted a new hot water cylinder and thermostat rad valves. Everything from the initial visit, to the quote then installation went perfectly. They were clean and tidy and very professional. It was a two day job but they didn't leave us on day one with no hot water. I would highly recommended them, they are excellent.

Recently had a new boiler fitted after the one in the house we moved into was deemed unsafe when British Gas came out to assess whether they would take in on a maintenance plan. Had various quotes for the same boiler and work from British Gas and other Gas Safe registered local tradesmen. For comparison, the BG quote was 30% higher than Pro-heat and would take a day longer to complete. Other quotes were cheaper than Pro-heat but didn't come with the Which? Trusted Trader reviews, nor the 0% finance!!! The work was carried out over 2 days - we only lost the gas/hot-water for 1 night. The workman were so professional, dedicated and pleasant. There was no mess left over and I cam home to a lovely warm house. Cannot recommend them highly enough - for me the whole process was exceptional and worry free.
