As our old boiler was 17 years old and giving notice, we contacted R B Porter, to quote us for a new one. Darren came out and reviewed the job, and a quote was submitted in a timely fashion. We agreed the quote, and a date of 23rd September. Darren and Wayne arrived at the time specified, and from then on, worked as a team. The job was completed, and they then cleared away all of the packaging, and old boiler etc, cleared up, and put furniture back where it came from. Very friendly and helpful Engineers.

I needed a new gas boiler installed. From the very first communication via phone the company were really helpful and professional. I had a query which was answered very quickly. From first enquiry to the home visit and quotation, everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. All that I needed to know was explained to me and they were happy to give advice and answer all my questions, which put me at ease and gave me the confidence to go ahead. The installation team were courteous, respectful of my home and did a very professional job, leaving the area neat and tidy with all the rubbish removed. I received a call the next day to check I was happy with everything and I've had a couple of visits since to sort an issue that cropped up, so I can say the aftersales service is also excellent. Overall, I just got the feeling they are a genuine and trustworthy company as everything happened as discussed and the price was as quoted, and I will certainly be using R B Porter in the future for their other services.

We have used Porters for many years for jobs such as Boiler servicing, leaks, heating issues etc etc. But having recently moved house we decided to replace the existing boiler, as well as have some other major plumbing work including replacing tanks in the loft, additional pipework as well as other less significant jobs completed. Darren and Wayne were here for a full week. Every day 8.30 a.m until 5.00 p.m. Such approachable, pleasant guys, a real credit to Porters. Their work (so far) was faultless ...... nothing was too much trouble. We were only left without hot water and heating for a minimum amount of time. Cannot recommend them enough.

Needing a new Worcester Bosch boiler, I contacted a lot of local accredited installers. Using a Worcester-accredited installer meant that I got double the warranty period on the boiler. Several companies came out to look at the work. R.B. Porter were the only ones who actually measured my water flow rate, a crucial measurement to size a combi boiler correctly. More importantly, they were the only ones who actually made scientific sense when they spoke to me, and who weren't just trying to sell their services by over-promising or contradicting themselves as they talked (always a red flag when that happens). R.B. Porter seemed up-to-date and knowledgeable about modern building regulations, Worcester Bosch products, and how to install them according to the manufacturer's requirements. For the installation, the team turned up on time and completed all the work carefully and professionally. They were polite and pleasant to deal with, they took care to cause as little disruption as possible, despite having to turn off the gas and the water in the middle of winter. And now I have a new boiler which is working well, is the right size, and is set up to minimise gas consumption. I would certainly recommend R.B. Porter for gas boiler installation and servicing.

R B Porter were friendly and professional from the start. They came over to quote for a new boiler at a time which suited us. They explained everything we needed and what they would do. They booked us in when siuted us and turned up on time and completed the job in one day as advised. The 2 people who fitted it were very friendly and answered some questions we asked with plenty of knowledge. We received a call to check if all was OK so a top class experience all round.

Excellent company to deal with, from first phone call to finished installation. Very professional workmanship neat, tidy and very polite. cleaned up any mess and removed all rubbish from site. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The two engineers arrived promptly on day one and started the preparatory work, we had been told on arrival that due to the manufacturers delivery driver being off sick the boiler had not been delivered so while one engineer carried on the other actually drove and picked up the boiler. The job was completed as promised on day two with a thorough clean up leaving us very pleased with whole installation experience. Everyone we met at the company was very friendly and helpful.

A representative of R.B. Porter Ltd attended my home as I required a replacement boiler. I received a full explanation regarding installation and all my questions were answered. I subsequently received a quote and arranged for installation to take place about 4 weeks later. However, 10 days prior to the installation date I became aware that my hot water cylinder in my airing cupboard was leaking which had caused damage to my ceiling. This left me with no hot water supply. I informed R.B. Porter Ltd the following morning. Arrangements were made to install my new boiler and replace my hot water cylinder the following day. The two engineers who attended were courteous and took pride in their work, this was evident from the neatness of the pipework. Upon completion of the work the boiler operation was fully explained, paperwork left with me, and all rubbish taken away. I cannot thank R.B. Porter enough for carrying out the work earlier than scheduled and I would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

A representative from R B Porter came to look at our broken boiler but instead of having to have a complete new boiler the engineer confirmed that he may be able to trace a fan for our unit (it is quite old now and a new part could not be ordered). They sourced the fan, had it delivered and within a week they had fitted it and my home was warm again for a fraction of the price of a brand new boiler. I cannot fault their work and they went that 'extra mile' to help us out. I have no hesitation in recommending them - a brilliant, fast and efficient service.

Having been let down by a previous company wanting me to wait 4 months for a boiler service, I was over the moon with the service provided by R B Porter Limited. I have found them to be very responsive in a time based manner and the quality of the work was excellent. The technician who came to the house was courteous, tidy and efficient. We had an old boiler removed and the system converted to a pressurised condensing system. The job involved clearing tanks from the loft and removing a large boiler and a lot of pipework. The job was done in a completely professional manner. From the quote to the commissioning - everything was done in a friendly and professional manner. The work was carried out by 2 men who knew exactly what they were doing. One man was the person who had done the quote and so knew exactly what was involved. The work was done very tidily with no mess. Both men were very friendly - which always makes a difference - but over 2 days they never stopped working - no time was wasted. I will be using them again for smaller jobs and would highly recommend them.

I asked Porters to check out my old heating system as it was no longer up to the job. They are an old established firm and have good reviews as a trusted trader. They were very helpful and I asked them to remove my old system and install a complete new modern boiler and radiators. Their quote was fair for the amount of work needed. They did a first class job and I was impressed with the professional way they minimised disruption and mess. They took all the old system away and always tidied up afterwards . Highly recommended!

We have recently had our boiler and cistern replaced by this company who have made a great job. It all started when we called them to look at problems with our existing boiler and all through the process they were punctual, reliable, communicative and on the whole , really nice guys. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them which in this day and age is rare.

We asked R.B.Porter to replace a broken stop tap, left in a bit of a state by another company, and replace the valves on our radiators as a few had developed leaks. The work was quoted for quickly and was around what I expected a reputable and competent firm to charge, based on research I had done online. On the day of the work, the engineer arrived on time. The stop tap was quickly sorted (I was impressed with how smoothly that went) and the radiator valves all replaced for the price quoted. One of the radiator values required a bit of persistance to install due to awkward pipework, but the engineer did so with great patience and good humour. Very pleased with the engineer and the work, I would have no hesitation recommending R.B.Porter to friends, colleagues and family and we will certainly use them again if we need plumbing doing in the future.

I choose R B Porter Ltd as the cheapest of three quotes for the installation of a Worcester Bosch condensing boiler, heating controls and hot water tank. They carried out this work in a thoroughly professional and efficient manner. The team (Paul, Matt & Darren) carrying out the installation were knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and cleaned up behind themselves. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others and will use them again to service the boiler, and to undertake any other plumbing work I need doing.

We looked online after seeing a great advert in the Stourbridge News so was pleased we had found what sounded like a great company. The reviews were brilliant so we were happy to have them do work at our house in Stourbridge as well as a rented property we have. We have phoned several times about issues with our baxi heater that is still difficult to light after having it serviced. More of an issue was we were waiting for parts for our tenant for his gas fire. We dealt with two different engineers at the two houses and both were supposed to get back in contact with us. After hearing nothing we rang to be told they were very busy but they would return our calls. We would have been satisfied with this if they had kept their word but sadly they didn't. We like to use independent family businesses but how dissapointed we are with the customer service we shall not be using them again.

Managed to squeeze me in before Christmas, removing my wrecked old boiler & installing fantastic new Worcester Bosch boiler with Worcester Wave thermostat. Also flushed out the system, took out a radiator, fitted a new one and had it all finished and running by 4 pm - one day job! Couldn't recommend them more. Excellent service!
