Well....what a breath of fresh air this Company indeed is. With its customer service, value and quality of product it is truly a professional outfit second to none. From start to finish everything was fully explained, all questions answered including type of insulation to suit the age of the property (foil in my case). Although the cost was more than the average this was more than made up by the practical and efficient way the whole exercise was carried out. The two guys doing the work were a delight and polite and fully cleaned up after themselves. I have no hesitation in recommending this trustworthy Company.

Our loft is a tight space so I decided to get a professional fitter in to do the job rather than try and DIY it. Found RJ Insulation by chance and read the reviews on Which, Trading Standards etc and did some other checks (as you can never be too careful). I then decided to contact them. I experienced very good customer service throughout the process and Alfie worked with me to find a time to do the survey and the works. I already had sheep's wool in mind for the loft but Alfie went through the advantages of it and confirmed in my mind why sheep's wool insulation would be best. Alfie gave me a rough idea and range of the costs there and then. He arranged an onsite survey with John a few days later to confirm exact costs. Cost were agreed after the on-site survey (they were within the lower end of the range that Alfie had given me previously). A date that was suitable for both of us was then arranged. Works were completed quickly by two friendly workmen. The old insulation and other debris was removed and taken away with them. They showed me the work that they had completed in the loft. They cleaned up the areas that they had been working in. I had a follow up call from Alfie to make sure that I was happy with the work. The price may be more than other fitters out there but in my opinion you get quality work, excellent customer service and at the end of the day peace of mind of not dealing with rogue traders. This is an exciting company selling quality, British made, environmentally friendly products, without a hard sell but with knowledge and enthusiasm. Alfie the boss, phoned me back when he said he would, took time to answer all my questions and gave a clear explanation of why sheep's wool underfloor insulation was right for the age of our house. The surveyor and the fitters were also curteous and knowledgeable and got on with their jobs efficiently. When the surveyor was delayed by traffic, he phoned to give us a revised ETA. Everything was completed as per quote. Love the product, having seen it installed and the fact I didn't have to pay VAT on it was a bonus (I believe the credit for that goes to the government no less!) Happy to invest in a home-grown product and a hard-working company.

Very detailed information given from initial quotation and along the decision making process. Easy to deal with an genuine person, I did have quotes for a similar level of work for less but RJ is a well trusted provider who I felt confident in delivering a quality product and we were able to negotiate a slightly reduced price without compromising the level of product. Installers arrived promptly and cleared out old insulation as well as some old leftovers bits and bobs in the loft before replacing. The finished product looks good and well installed.

From my initial phone call to the completion of the job, I could not fault them. Alfie, whom I first dealt with, was patient, polite and informative. Having previously been contacted by a cold caller from another company and being urged to get a quote elsewhere so glad I did. The installers were professional, quick and tidier than I could have expected. I would highly recommend this company. They even bagged up my rubbish and loaded it into my car. I didn’t get the names of the guys who did the work, but absolutely bang on point, a credit to the company for sure, as is Alfie. Wish there were 10-star ratings. Very good customer service throughout and Alfie worked with us to find a time to do the survey and the works. Good explanation of why sheep's wool insulation would be better for our property and what the work would entail. Works were completed quickly by two very friendly workmen. We had SuperFoil installed in our loft. We were most impressed with the speed and efficiency of both the office staff and the installation team. The work was completed within two weeks of the original booking and the installation team arrived on time (actually a little early!) and managed to complete the work in under five hours. It remains to be seen how effective the SuperFoil proves to be - we are hoping that, next summer, we have a much cooler top floor. We live in a three-storey town house with a mansard roof which, up to now, has trapped the heat in the middle of summer.

When first speaking with Alfie I felt that the level of service, detail and communication was almost too good to be true - this is the best compliment I can offer everyone at RJ Insulation. The pre-inspection and RAMS report was also run to a high professional standard, arranged quickly with everything explained to me. Lastly, Max and Lunas were brilliant when undertaking the actual work in the loft space. Max, Linus and Ramon arrived exactly on time, and lost no time in protecting the carpet and then carrying out the required work in the loft. They explained exactly what was happening and invited us to inspect the work as it progressed. They were friendly and informative and we were very impressed with the standard of their work. What wonderful workmen to have in my home. From the initial visit by Lee to discuss options to the actual fitting by Ramon and Linas everything went smoothly and uneventfully. The work took a day and a half. Dust sheets covered the carpets and before leaving each day the hall, stairs and landing were hoovered.

As I was more afraid of causing damp problems in our dry, well ventilated loft than I was of having an inadequately insulated loft, I had got a few quotes for loft insulation over the last 15 years, but had never taken it further than getting quotes, because I never quite trusted any of the companies quoting for the work. This year, I decided to look into it yet again and got a few more quotes. RJ Insulation was the most expensive of the quotes, but for the first time, I felt I had found a company that could reassure me over my fears that thicker insulation was not always a good thing. Everyone I dealt with was professional and polite. The team that did the work were efficient and extremely hardworking. I was informed of any issues on the day of the installation as soon as they occurred, all issues were dealt with to my satisfaction, and when I questioned whether the area that had been boarded was as big as I had expected (I had requested the same area of the loft floor to be covered as previously, but it seemed that the measurements made had been only for the area in the middle, up to the struts, plus some loft storage trays), they returned after the weekend to add more boarding for me at no extra cost. As the work has only just been completed, I can't comment on the effectiveness of the insulation, but I can confirm I am delighted with the lovely clean space and storage up there - it is a far more pleasant and secure environment than was previously the case.

I cannot express how really outstanding R&J Ipswich was with our loft installation! From the moment I spoke to Alfie to the time the installation team left it was a pleasure to deal with them. Alfie put me at ease with their credentials and validation from a variety of organisations. John came and carried out a survey the day after I first spoke to Alfie. John is a knowledgeable person who outlined the process clearly and answered all our questions thoroughly. He was back to us promptly with the installation date. The team arrived. Ramon, Max and Linas were here at 7.30 for a prompt start. They were courteous and friendly throughout and did an amazing job. The house was cared for and the cleaning at the end of the first day and on completion was perfect. Lindsay from the accounts department too was prompt and business -like in her work. The preliminary consultative stage by phone was very helpful for us to understand our options, and subsequent follow ups addressed our questions clearly. The installation of our wool insulation product has just been completed by Max and colleagues. They were efficient, careful and thorough in fulfilling the brief, and dealt successfully with some very tricky corners of our loft space. Contacted RJ Insulation through the website. Alfie got back to me and walked me through all the options with no pressure to buy (gave me some time to think it over and called back the next day). Decided to arrange a survey for the following week. John carried out the survey. He was on time, very thorough and respectful of my property. Got a callback from Alfie moments after John left and was pleased to hear the price had gone down based on the survey, so decided to go ahead with the installation. Installation was a breeze despite a complex loft space - this was made possible by a great team of installers lead by Ramon. They arrived on time (on both days) and quickly got to work. They kept me informed as to what they were doing at all times (e.g. when installing downlighting covers, shower mixers, etc...) and brought me up to show me their progress after cleaning the space and installing the new layers of insulation. Everyone involved was absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend RJ Insulation highly enough!

Myself and the wife had been looking to get our loft converted. On speaking to a few firms we decided to go with R J insulation. We got a call from Alfie who took time in telling us about what was available . We decided to go with the second option after a day of thinking it over. The guys who arrived came at the stated time all were very polite and called me sir ( i had to tell them to call me raymond) the work that these guys done was excellent. Max explained everything to us and took time to do so . The guys were here from 08:00 until 19:00 . We are well pleased with the work done and have been telling people we know about the company. I have always said you get what you paid for and we certainly got that. Work was finished to a very high standard . We don’t have a small lift and it must have been challenging. Max and his guys did a great job . The guys hoovered on the last day and left the place tidy . We can’t thank the guys enough and we will be using our loft for storage area now .

Following my husband’s cancer treatment, we downsized to make our lives easier. This started three-months of hell after discovering a rat infestation in the loft. After eliminating the blighters, we booked a clearance with an expensive pest control company who recommended a simultaneous re-insulation. Wary of re-insulating with the same fibrous material, we researched alternatives deciding on SuperFoil with RJ Insulation. Alfie was friendly & knowledgeable with information about materials and cost. A surveyor arrived on time and assessed the job. We booked the installation two days after the clearance. RJ Installation arrived promptly and found old insulation left in hard-to-reach areas. They immediately removed the mess, including. three redundant water tanks. Thank goodness we refused the recommendation from the other company who would have re-insulated on top of the mess and not told us! The RJ Insulation crew were, without any doubt – the most efficient, friendly and cheerful crew we have EVER had working in our homes, instilling us with confidence and informing us of every action and inviting regular inspection. The SuperFoil has noticeably improved the temperature in our home. We were surprised to see the frost outside our super toasty house. I don’t hand out money or praise where it is not deserved and RJ Insulation deserve every bit of praise, and every penny paid. They were simply marvellous, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very clearly explained the materials which would be used on the initial phone call. Told me the price and that it wouldn’t be any higher. Surveyor came round to measure and assess - friendly and efficient (covered his boots to come in) Was given a date for the works - arrived promptly and were friendly, covered the floors with dust sheets, checked the ceilings with me for any existing cracks/issues. They removed all the old insulation and unsuitable previous wood boards which were mostly damaged and took all away. Installed new supersoft insulation, boarded the area and fitted a new insulated hatch. At the end of the job invited me to have a look at the work - all seemed very good, then they vacuumed and left no trace that they had ever been here (except for the new hatch!)

Our house is complicated as it has a normal loft space but also around three sides of the roof there are eaves which lie directly over the rooms on the ground floor. All these areas were poorly insulated but putting new insulation in was a real problem, especially in the eaves with boards running the full length which required effective insulation inserting underneath these boards. We searched hard over many years to find an insulation fitting company who we felt really understood the challenge - until we found RJ. They were helpful in discussing the issues and answering our questions. The only problem was that the initial quote, done remotely, was an overestimate due to the complexity of our loft so we were pleased that we had done some of our own measurements! The fitting team were amazing! They worked extremely hard and came up with very sensible solutions to one or two unexpected issues. The sheep's wool insulation had an immediate beneficial effect. Definitely not the cheapest firm but certainly one that understands the challenges of a "different" house! Thank you RJ.
