R.O Allum & Sons

RO Allum had successfully completed an extension for us about 12 years earlier so we had no hesitation in asking them to quote for the construction of the extension to the kitchen to our current house. Their quote was competitive and there were no hidden extras. Any additional work required or requested were priced fairly and agreed before being undertaken. Any issues that arose were discussed with us before proceeding and any snags were swiftly dealt with. We had to delay the start and Mark accepted this graciously. The estimated timescale for the build was accurate. Mark went above and beyond in matching the bricks and sourcing suitable coping stones. The end result was that people have commented on the match and said they would never have guessed it was an extension. All Mark's team and the trades he brought in were friendly and considerate. We are delighted with the end result.

We moved into a house that had not been decorated for decades, the bathroom was in dire need of renovation. Mark, Charlie and the team were outstanding. They arrived when they said they would, they dealt with any issues they came across (they needed to mend some rotten floor joists) they were tidy and took away all the rubbish and they have left us with a beautiful bathroom! The invoice was as discussed so no surprises and I will be asking them to replace our kitchen next year!

New House Build We used R.O Allum & Sons for the groundworks and build of a new build house and it couldn't have been a more enjoyable and stress free experience, from beginning to end. Mark and his team are just brilliant. Very friendly, hard working and providing a great quality of work. We started the build conscious of stress with neighbours due to possible noise disruption and mess, but very quickly realised we had no cause for concern. We've had so many of our neighbours complement us on the site works, the team involved and the quality of the build. We couldn't be happier. I would 100% recommend Mark for any building works required.

Mark and his team were brilliant from start to finish. They completed our full house refurbishment on time and in budget. All the team were incredibly friendly and prided themselves on their exceptional quality work. Mark’s advice throughout was always practical and well thought through. No request was too small for him and the team. We really appreciated having all the trades together (plumber, electrician, carpenter) so there was no waiting or coordination needed from our side. Mark and his team are superb. They built our extension 6 years ago and they were my #1 choice when I wanted an office cleared, the ceiling replaced, new lighting fitted and the room decorated from top to bottom. Everyone was friendly, tidy, prompt and did what they said they would do. Nothing was added to the quote unless I asked for it. Overall, absolutely excellent.

We were recommended RO Allum by a friend and are very happy to pass on the recommendation. We needed two internal walls and a fireplace removed, RSJs added, some stud work and a new kitchen fitted. We used R O Allum last year to undertake internal decorating works when we moved into our house. Their work was of very good quality and their staff could not have been more helpful. They delivered everything we needed to a high standard. In recent weeks we decided to do some hard landscaping in our garden and had no hesitation in offering the work to Mark at R O Allum after our previous experience. They removed old concrete and decking, dug out additional flower bed space, laid some turf, a new patio and path and painted the fence. We are very pleased indeed with the results and the price was competitive. Our garden was always left clean and tidy, the team were onsite early every morning and everyone who came was introduced by name if I was there, each of them friendly, pleasant, polite and they just got on with it.
