I commissioned RCP Electrics to fit a ceramic hob in an awkward space on my worktop. They were excellent - arrived bang on time really knew their stuff, checked everything was working and tidied up after themselves. I've already recommended them to friends - so good to find a reliable electrician.

Amazing work at an incredibly decent price. RCP Installations came in and replaced almost every socket our home. We were running extensions and extra plugs all over as most rooms only had two single sockets. Now we have as many as we need in each room, several with USB charging points in each room. In addition we now have an outside socket, two new light fittings. As our house is old and large getting broadband in the only place that works as a home office was difficult. With a minimum of fuss and incredible speed the electrician put in a cable - this included lifting floorboards and drilling through ceilings. In less than two days an amazing amount of work done. Electrician left things incredible tidy and was a pleasure to have in the house. I totally and whole heartedly recommend RCP Installations. Trustworthy, great value for money and knowledgeable.

RCP Electrics were professional and great to deal with from the outset. My Victorian flat needed a lot of work and Rob and Steve took real care to simply and clearly explain what would be required to meet present day standards (partial rewiring, replacing fuse board, replacing old cables, installing new plug points amongst other things) and check if I had any questions. I found their pricing fair and transparent. Steve was friendly, punctual, efficient and tidy. We're really happy with the work he has done (which included making some lovely pendant lights) and the works were designed to avoid damaging any of the original features. Steve was also very understanding when it came to working around our assorted clutter. I will definitely use again and recommend to others.

The job was to renew the thermostat in the immersion. Have used this company a number of times and would certainly recommend them. Rob has always answered my calls promptly and usually come to the house the next day to check what needs to be done and given me an estimate for the cost. I have never had any problems with the work he or his employees have done for me and everyone has been polite and very helpful.

I needed an electrical check and then remedial work done urgently , both of which were carried out by RCP Installations. All work was carried out to a high professional standard and at a fair price. Rob came and replaced a socket that had been condemned by the freezer repair man. He carried out the work to a high standard, sooner than other electricians I had rung, was very clear on price (which was very reasonable) and was happy to explain the problem. Rob and Steve did a fantastic job. We knew there were going to be quite a few electrical issues to resolve in our house. We started with Rob carrying out an electrical installation condition report - this was carried out with great attention to detail. Steve then rectified all of the issues found and the recommendations, including a fuse board upgrade. Despite the significant amount of work required and a few challenges on the day, everything was done to a high standard and for the price quoted. Rob and Steve explained everything very well and kept us informed throughout. I'm very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Rob and Steve where both excellent and went above and beyond for us. A straightforward job turned into a slightly trickier one because of works done by previous owners, but it was met with the upmost professionalism and skill to solve and fix. There are so many electricians out there that do EICRs but finding one that is honest, meticulous, hardworking, efficient, polite, no-nonsense, reasonably priced and a very good communicator is rare. RCP Installations is the one. So if you are reading this, having read a number of other reviews for other electricians on Trusted Trader and are unsure whether to choose them - stop, save yourself some time and call them. You won't be disappointed. I contacted Rob back in July as I need to have an EICR for my flat - I was pretty sure there would be remedial works and I only had a small window of opportunity to have the works completed while the tenants were away. The whole process from initial inspection, diagnosis (of works), remedial works taking place to completion was straight forward. This is due to the excellent communication, flexibility and genuine honesty and interest to help/guide and get the job done. Both Rob and Steve just got on with it as you would expect professionals to, explaining everything as they went along (costs, recommendations, advice - for you to choose with no pressure). So if you are looking for an electrician just use them to save yourself some time, money and stress.

As a landlord I only recently became aware of the new mandatory electrical safety inspection needed for rental properties which came into effect on the 1st July 2020. I had tenants ready to move in, in a few weeks and was really up against it to obtain a landlord domestic EICR (Electrical Inspection Condition Report) and certification. I called Rob Prior at RCP Installations Ltd (found via https://trustedtraders.which.co.uk/businesses/rcp-installations/ with amazing reviews) who thoroughly explained to me what the new regulations meant for me as a landlord and also what was involved in an EICR as I was completely new to this. Rob also understood that I was up against it as I had new tenants about to move in and he managed to fit me in at short notice which I really appreciated. After the thorough inspection was carried out Rob provided me with an NICEIC valid EICR which listed the remedial works that need to be done for compliance, Rob also explained to me that I was not obligated to carry out the works with him and I could chose another contractor if I wished it which I thought was really honest of him to do. I decided to carry out all remedial works with RCP because the pricing was really fair and also I had complete confidence in them from the really professional service I had so far. Service was very efficient from quote to completion. Rob came round to view everything before sending the quotation the next day. The quote was very similar to others I had received, but Rob had something about it that made me feel assured that the work would be completed to a high standard. I wasn't disappointed. This is the second time I have used RCP Installations Ltd, and Rob and his team have been very helpful and co-operative on both occasions. The work carried out by RCP installations was fantastic, the job was to install a cooker circuit from fuse board, cable routed from garage to kitchen, and install a new electric oven. All work was carried out very professionally and very tidy and clean by two very pleasant chaps. Will definitely use this company again for any electrical work in the future.

The gentleman whom attended were both very professional and extremely polite. I cannot commend them on how great a job they did installing 3 lights and a RING Security System. All jobs were completed to a very high standard and all rubbish cleared leaving my home the way they had entered it. Contact Rob for a quote for running a supply for a meter relocation. The work was done quickly, efficiently and cleaning. The workmen who attendees were polite and very helpful. At short notice we had to bring forward the switch over date for reconnection and Rob very kindly scheduled us in to make sure we were connected up quickly & not without supply. The price was reasonable and would definitely use them again in the future.

I called out RCP Installations when one of my lighting circuits kept tripping and an electrician friend of mine was unable to find the fault. RCP came promptly and found and rectified the fault quickly. Impressed with their service I asked them for a quote to install some LED spots in my lounge and bedroom ceilings. I was happy with the quote and when the lads came back on the agreed date they carried out the installation with a high degree of skill and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the way they left the bedroom, after lifting the carpet and taking up the flooring to install the spots in the lounge ceiling below, when they relaid the carpet they left the room immaculately as though nothing had ever been touched. Although the job took them a bit longer than they had expected, due to my flooring being nailed down rather than screwed and the complexities of my switchboard, they still cheerfully completed the job carefully and conscientiously leaving everything working perfectly and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them as extremely competent workmen who don't cut corners but ensure everything is carried out to the highest possible standards.
