After 20 years in our house in Devon, downsizing and moving to Sussex was never going to be easy. However, our movers, Daniel plus Martin,Aron,Ben and others helped us through the whole process and we are now settled in to our new home. They were always on time; always cheerful; had a solution for every “ problem” with a “ can do” attitude. We used their storage for our furniture for over a month and it returned to us in pristine condition. Laura, our main contact in the “office” was very efficient and friendly, explaining patiently any queries we had. All in all, Reddaways were absolutely great and I would very confidently recommend them to anyone embarking on a house move. Without them, the whole moving process could have been a lot harder and more traumatic.

From coming to assess the job to give us a quote, arranging a slightly complicated timetable, packing up, storage and subsequent delivery the Reddaways team have delivered to a very high standard. There is really nothing with which we could find fault. Moving is always quite stressful and the fact that the team were always in control, good humoured and working quickly and efficiently made it as easy as it could be. We can totally recommend them.

Reddaways’ professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail made our house move remarkably smooth and stress-free. The initial quotation visit was friendly and highly knowledgeable. They answered all our queries and provided a detailed explanation of their services, tailoring their services to our specific needs. The packing team arrived on time, equipped with high-quality packing materials. They handled our belongings with great care, ensuring everything was securely packed and well labelled. They loaded the vans quickly (we had several smaller vans as access was quite tricky), while ensuring the safety of our items. The team's coordination and communication was excellent. Our contents went into storage at the Reddaways depot for six weeks while we found a new house. When they subsequently moved us up to our new home, the team displayed the same level of efficiency in unloading and protecting the floors in our new home. They really went above and beyond by helping with reassembly and placing furniture as per our request. This significantly reduced our settling-in time. We cannot recommend Reddways highly enough, they provide an excellent service.

This Company went above and beyond in providing a stress free move. We were moving to a new build property and the team met every challenge from providing their quotation, packing materials, delayed property completion, staggered removal of furniture and torrential rain on the day of the actual move. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Reddaways were used to move our house contacts from the house we sold to the house we had bought. Overall they were very efficient and completed the work in good time and care. The team of three were personable and clearly explained what they were doing and anything they needed of us. Everything was dismantled if needed and packed with care and put back together at the other end. They stuck to the quoted price which was reasonable.

We have moved several times in the past and on each occasion the move has never gone according to plan. This time we were really concerned incase previous problems happened again. As soon as we met Geoff, on his initial visit, our minds were put at rest. He thoroughly explained what would be happening and when - we were reassured that this move would be different. Unfortunately for us our house sale did not go according to plan as it took 1.5 years for us to sell and find a new home. During that time we had regular contact with Mike and Laura, both of whom were very friendly and professional. When we were finally ready to move, we opted to use the fragile packing service. Our possessions, including the fragile items were treated with the utmost respect and given a high level of care. Nothing was damaged in the move. During the moving period, our crew arrived at the times agreed. They were extremely efficient, hard working, friendly, caring and professional. We really could not have asked for more. For the first time ever, we were not at all stressed during our move as everything went totally to plan. We can not recommend Reddaways enough! Thank you.

Reddaways are an amazing company to deal with, they are extremely polite and friendly. The level of service is incredible. Reddaways moved us from our old home and held our furniture in storage for 5 weeks and then delivered to our new home. All of our furniture was handled with care and packed into storage so well that nothing was damaged when we unpacked our processions. We would 100% recommend Reddaways.

Reddaways were so helpful from the outset. They were able to do our large removal at very short notice and were extremely helpful delivering boxes at the weekend to enable us to pack. Small family company based in Okehampton which exudes customer service before and aftercare. Company very flexible, handling many completion date moves, hard working, polite, conciencious, courteous, accommodating, friendly, pleasing and easy to contact with any issues (none on their side but plenty on ours due to builders), nothing too much trouble. Can't praise them highly enough. Would reccommend and would definitely use again. Competitive prices. We moved from old house into storage and out again after 5 months to new property. No damage or breakages to personal property during transitions. Superb.

The move was handled very professionally. We are particularly grateful that when our buyers suddenly announced that they needed to move within 9 days (contracts at this point not having been exchanged, nor a completion date discussed) Reddaways somehow managed to fit us in, even though our booking with them had been for much later, and they were fully booked for a month or more ahead. What would have been an incredibly stressful experience, in the end, went very smoothly.

Our move had to be carried out over several weeks in November/December 2020 and our belongings put into store. Deliveries to our new home were made over a couple of months in 2021 and completed at the beginning of December. 2 or 4 containers were delivered at a time. The staff were exceptional and always good-humoured. Nothing was too much trouble.

Having moved 29 times (each time swearing we would never move again!), I can honestly say Reddaways was the best removal service we have ever experienced, by some margin. Every interaction we had, from the first phone call with Linda, to Geoff's home visit ensuring a fair and accurate quote, through to Aaron's incredible parking skills (it's not easy squeezing around tiny streets in a huge truck), and finally to the whole friendly, fast and formidable moving team who skipped up and down the stairs of our new 5-storey house without breaking a sweat. We were so impressed by the all-round customer service, and the energy and great attitude displayed by all of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, despite this being a really tricky move from Devon to Brighton, over a number of days, with multiple drop offs. Overall, we can't recommend Reddaways highly enough. We used Reddaways' packing and moving service. From start to finish they were courteous, respectful of our home and highly professional. The quality of packing was exceptional. I can't praise them enough. They made what could have been a highly stressful move, especially with a toddler, actually very easy.

We found Reddaways via the BAR site. They provided an excellent service, communicating well with us in the run-up to the move (always a stressful time, but even more so during Covid 19 restrictions). At all times they were professional, polite, punctual and considerate of our needs - especially those of my elderly mother. Their manner, approach and appearance were totally professional. They consulted us throughout to ensure our requirements were met and often anticipated (and resolved) any problems before we had even thought of them. Not a single item was broken, everything packed carefully and labelled so that it was relatively easy to find things after unloading. We were most impressed by their teamwork, sheer hard work, handling of logistics, efficiency, good humour and thoughtfulness through the whole process. Aftercare was also excellent. We cannot praise this family firm highly enough, nor thank them enough for making this move the smoothest ever. We downsized from two large country barns with triple garage & annexe, to a four-bed house with double garage. They made it look simple, were always cheerful and truly took the strain off us as clients. They were like family to us; the boys love their cake and biscuits and we were only too pleased to see them tucking in at the end of a hard day. We can't recommend them highly enough, wouldn't hesitate to use them again - in fact, we almost (but not quite) wish we were moving again!

We have used Reddaways for several moves within Devon with total satisfaction each time so they were the obvious choice for us when we planned our Great Trek up to Scotland. Once again the entire team were outstanding in the willingness to go the extra mile, their unstinting cheerfulness and the care they took with our belongings...nothing ever damaged in any of our moves. Special mention to Aron and Rich who drove the 600 miles and unpacked an entire lorry before bedding down for the night. The following day they unloaded the second trailer and were gone by lunchtime, not before being sure that there really was nothing else we needed help with. An outstanding service with smiles all round, we are so grateful.

We were due to move on 24th-26th March 2020, but then Lockdown happened. Reddaways were able to move us as soon as Lockdown regulations permitted and they were absolutely brilliant. They moved all our possessions very professionally and efficiently even though all the removal men had to wear masks and adhere to distancing. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Reddaways as they made our move a pleasant experience despite the difficult circumstances and treated our possessions with great care.

The team moved us out of our old property with great efficiency. All the guys had a really pleasant manner and a good sense of humour. Reddaways packed and stored my sold house in Devon. When it came time to have my belongings brought to my new house in Scotland, they gave me a quote several thousand pounds over equivalent removal services. When I declined this, they said I could have my belongings but that they would unpack everything (that I had already paid for in materials and in the collection) and let my chosen company come and try and collect a 4 bedroom manor house worth of belongings. Luckily, I had an email which made clear I owned the packaging. After this and despite having paid them already thousands of pounds, they charged several hundred pounds for access and made it as difficult as possible to get my belongings. The contract says it is £25 per container for access but they insisted they had other rights through the removals scheme. In my view, a horrible company, utterly devoid of customer service or basic decency to their customers.

We had unusual requirements for our move in that we required the pick up and delivery to be carried out in two parts each. Reddaways were able to satisfy our needs totally in respect to this. In terms of the moves themselves, it was nice to see many of the same team members involved in each phase of the move rather than a completely different team each time. The team were polite and friendly and the moves were carried out quickly but carefully. We have experienced some disastrous moves over the years from companies that just didn't care. Reddaways are completely different and are a company that we would very highly recommend.

We have been very pleased with the standard of work by the removal team. They showed a very high level of skill in packing items and moving furniture. We had no idea what a skilled job it is. It was a pleasure to meet the men and they all were efficient, friendly and worked very well as a team with us. We have already booked them for when we move from rental accommodation to our new home.

What can I say about Reddaways? We moved from Hampshire to Cornwall earlier this year after almost ten months of planning. We looked around the market and got three separate quotes. Reddaways were our choice as they were based near to where we were moving and were competitive on price. What a fantastic decision! Our move could not have gone better. They booked us in, packed us up, transported us 200 miles to Cornwall and stored our furniture for a month when we discovered that our new house was uninhabitable! We have moved house eight times – only once moving ourselves. We have used packing services six times. We have used both large national and small local companies. Experiences have ranged from good to absolutely dire. We have a good basis on which to form an opinion. On this occasion, we moved from a house – with somewhat difficult shared vehicular access - to a bungalow. The team was polite, friendly and punctual. They took particular care to avoid obstructing the neighbours’ access. This made their job harder as they had to carry everything further. Packing was generally very good and all items were handled with care. Fragile items were particularly well packed. There were some minor quibbles after removal was completed. There are always some queries of greater or lesser importance. These quibbles were speedily and uncomplainingly resolved. How such issues are resolved is in our view a real test of companies. Some have been frankly evasive and obstructive, even when issues have been well-documented. We are happy to state quite unequivocally that Reddaways has been by far the best removal company we have ever used. We unhesitatingly recommend them.
