RTC attended my house to survey and remedy some fungus which I initially found in the cellar wall. A survey identified that the fungus was not dry rot as I had feared, but something less problematic... but that some timbers were affected by damp-related things to the point where they were softened and visibly bowing. I am incredibly grateful that RTC were able to fit in treatment the next week, as we had a very tight timescale, and were able to replace several floor joists and improve the cellar ventilation in record time. Work was carried out according to schedule and budget. Some things that were particularly impressive were: * Proper survey first to determine the actual problem and root cause * Very good communication with the office, the surveyor, and the works team. * Treatment substances were low-odour, therefore good for the enclosed space of the cellar * Superb cleanliness during/afterwards * Advice on how to best re-insulate treated bits of the cellar * Guarantee against defects in work for 10 years Would happily recommend this trader to others.

I first asked RTC to complete a damp survey downstairs for me, which I subsequently extended to cover the rest of the house. I struggled to book them in because of issues my end and they were super patient with me. When I did book they accommodated my deadlines and completed all of the work in the time they said. The house was a real mess throughout the work due to the dust but they did an amazing job of cleaning up and left the house in a real good state. The paster work is very neat and the post damp-course instructions are clear to follow. Throughout they were excellent at communicating and answering questions.

RTC are complete professionals from end to end, we had damp and timber work completed. From the initial survey, to each stage of the work they were considerate and respectful. This was especially important to us as we have children every room downstairs was impacted by the work. They provided excellent protection for our furniture, flooring and created cordons of 'clean zones' where there was no work, so that we could use the space. We have had a bad experience, having used people to treat damp and it failing, so I was nervous about going into this process. I wasn't sure how it would be having different contractors attending on site, but they were just great. They communicate with each other and the head office. They track the work, taking pictures at each step and logging what they have done. At the end of each day they left the house clean and provided safe access to the upstairs and downstairs for our kids. As the work completed they made sure to make good any minor snags so that everything was back to how it was cosmetically. A particular piece of praise for Wes, he did an excellent job with the render, there was some tricky work blending the old with the new, and he did it so well, and again, with complete respect for our family home. It is only through extensive research, and visiting Which etc, that I felt confident to approach RTC for the works, having had bad experiences in the past. I only wish we had found them 7 years ago. I wouldn't hesitate recommending RTC!

I have recently had my kitchen floor taken up & the joists repaired by RTC following a previous company botching the job leaving me with a floor like a trampoline. The lads were absolutely fantastic, they kept everywhere clean & tidy, answered my many questions as they went along & kept me updated with what they were doing. The floor now is perfect, level, stable. I can not rave about them enough. I would definitely recommend them, they've been a life saver for me & my MH, I know longer feel like at any moment the floor is going to collapse.

Great job of fitting an extractor fan in the kitchen and advice about its use. The previous one had an issue and a new one was provided at very reasonable cost. Very helpful and smoothly done.

RTC carried out works on my home for two days . They were punctual and very reliable ,The team were thoughtful, courteous and a thoroughly nice bunch . They took great pride in their work and were excellent at tidying up daily and throughout the work carried out . I’m super pleased with what they’ve done Well done team RTC !

Had RTC in to do damp proof work in dining room and hall way turned up on time everyday kept my property as clean as they could even though this is a messy job before leaving everyday they made sure all work areas we’re hovered and swept the staff I had at my property were really nice friendly hard working lads they answered all my questions if I ever need them in the future they will be getting a call and can I finish by giving Jack a shout as he was with us though out the works and he is a credit to RTC

Wes and Dylan arrived on time and explained what they were going to do to cure our problem with damp. They protected the floor and everything else before starting the actual job. George joined the team on day 2. The whole job was done to a high standard and extremely efficiently. When it was finished they cleared everything up and left the room shining! RTC were professional from start to finish. They surveyed my house for damp and installed a damp proof course and replaced plaster on walls. The office was easy to contact and always returned calls promptly if the person I needed wasn’t there. The survey was detailed and very clear. The technicians were very professional, fast, worked long hours and were polite and friendly explaining each step. Every day they left the house as clean as possible given the nature of the job. I was very pleased with the end result and quality of the finish. They were on time and honoured the cost quoted. Highly recommended.

Damp specialist Andrew assessed the problem area and recommended replacing the existing plaster with a new horizontal chemical damp-proof course. Plasterer turned up on time, was polite, hard-working, efficient and kept mess to a minimum. Very good finish. Communication with the office could have been a little quicker but the ladies on the phone were always polite, did what they said they were going to do and the paperwork (report, quote & specification, invoice and guarantee all clear and well produced.

Today I had work completed to take up decayed timber flooring & PVC damp course material laid over sleeper walls. New timber joists with capped ends fixed, covered with tongue & groove boarding. Necessary brickwork removed & new air bricks installed. This work was completed as to the agreed schedule & budget. The two men who completed the above work were Jack & Matt. They were extremely polite, professional hard workers, who cleaned up beyond my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to employ RTC again should the need arise and would highly recommend to anyone.

RTC have carried out work on damp at my property on two occasions in the last six months. Throughout the whole process, from the survey and contacts arranging times for the jobs through to carrying out the work, I found them to be punctual, courteous and friendly, professional and extremely clean and tidy, especially given the nature of the work. I am totally satisfied with their work and have no hesitation in recommending their service.

Absolutely bloody fantastic, personally I don't put reviews unless they are necessary and these guys are. Dale from the company was exceptionally tidy and respected to our property and belongings.

I found the company very helpful and obliging especially as I had to cancel the job at short notice initially. They refunded my deposit straight away and agreed to carry out the work at a later date. Sam carried out an extra visit to check the details before work started. Wes and Dave, who carried out the work, were lovely - friendly, respectful and very hard working. They explained what they were doing, the work was done to a high standard with minimal disruption and they cleaned up after every day. In addition to this they went above and beyond what was expected, carrying out extra work to leave the walls looking perfect. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Following a very useful damp survey by Sam, I am delighted that I chose to have RTC complete the remedial work recommended for our recently purchased home. Two bedrooms had areas of ceiling and wall damage from an ongoing leaking roof. The lounge had a section of rising damp which also required the moving of two sockets and the replacement of a section of skirting board. Plasterer and project leader Dan seamlessly co-ordinated two days of intensive work. Griff and Jake ensured that the house was well protected and the damaged areas were well prepared. The whole team communicated together efficiently and kept me very well informed. They were skilled, prompt and polite. Every question was answered fully. They cleaned up after themselves and there is far less dust than I expected. From our experience, I would recommend this company without hesitation and would definitely use them again.

Amazing company they called me weeks before work was due to start and mailed all the information to me as well, which included a diagram for me to better understand what work they intended to do. They arrived on time and kept me informed at each stage of the process. They protected all my carpets with carpet protector and made sure all mess was cleaned up as they worked. The job they have done is amazing and I am so grateful to the gang of lads that I had at my home they treated me with politeness and my home as if was their own. Can't fault them on anything and I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to rectify a damp problem.

I was relieved to have RTC undertake work on my home! You never know how it will go with builders until they've completed the job, so it was a relief when RTC proved itself to be the reliable and professional firm they claim to be on their website. At every point in my contact with them, they have been helpful and knowledgeable - from the first survey visit, while undertaking major works in my kitchen and whole living area, leaving the property completely finished (no little annoying snags), to prompt invoicing and receiving my certificate of works. All the technicians were respectful and careful, keeping me informed of any issues and progress.
