I’ve been using Dale and the team for a few years. The title of my review sums it up. Dale never takes any shortcuts. He will always analyse the problem and err on the side of caution - imperative with any plumbing or heating. In this case, he took remedial work to rectify a poorly fitted boiler flue and gave me one hundred percent confidence with his completed work. Communications from the office are also reliable. I won’t use anyone else going forward.

Professional company, easy to deal with and fixed our boiler

I used Rhodes Plumbing & Heating when our boiler broke. They had to visit twice, once to diagnose the problem and a second time to install a new fan. I found it easy to get in contact with Rhodes and the office staff were really responsive. The visit was scheduled, and as promised, the engineer called ahead to give notice of their exact arrival time. The engineer was really courteous and showed me what the problem was. He did his best to fix the problem on the same day but as it happened we needed to order a spare. Once the new part was available, the engineer returned promptly to fix the boiler. I have given a mid-range score for value as I have no comparison, but Rhodes are clear about their pricing.

Rhodes Plumbing were recommended by 2 friends/neighbours who had used them over the years for various jobs and were very pleased with the work done by the company. We first used Rhodes earlier this year and again in September where they upgraded our radiators. Each time we have been very pleased with the work done by the Engineer Jon Schaub. He took time to listen, considered the job at hand, make sound recommendations if necessary, and explained what was being done. Each time the work was carried out the work expertly and efficiently. So far we have been very pleased every time they have done work for us and would thoroughly recommend them.

Zero customer service
Explained what we needed and that we have a newborn baby. Arranged for a plumber to come at a certain day/ time. We changed our plans/ work day to accommodate this. I was asked for my address by email which I sent on the morning of the appointment. I was then told the appointment was gone as they needed my address to confirm it. I had no idea and now there is no availability for ages. Thanks.

Hi Mam It is our company policy to provide the best customer service possible and we apologise on this occasion that it has not met your expectations. As discussed, we are unable to confirm appointments without customer contact details i.e. an address for our engineers to attend the appointment. We requested this information from you on two separate occasions. It was assumed, as there was no communication from yourself that you no longer required our services and the slot reserved for you was given to another customer. We apologise once again for the misunderstanding and any inconvenience it might have caused.
Shower valve leaking

Was very happy we received from John . He arrived in time repacked our valve in shower and used initiative and replaced 2nd valve at same time which was great. The 2nd job leaking mixer taps/kitchen recommended new taps as they were old but did not pursue this as seem ok now. The plumber was very friendly, knowledgeable & efficient! So shall be spreading the word to my neighbours. Many Thanks

Friendly and professional!

I had a Nest system fitted to control our central heating. The plumber discussed the job with me to confirm what I was expecting, then installed the Nest and showed me how to set it up. He also advised best ways to use it going forward. He was friendly and professional and absolutely brilliant with my dog, who was is nervous with strangers, but soon relaxed with him as he took the time to be make friends with her too!

New boiler

A new boiler and pump and associated fittings. A clear and detailed estimate was given. The work was completed satisfactorily over a period of five days. Dale kept us up to date on the work as it proceeded and answered our queries as they arose. His associate Rob at the office of the firm provided liaison as appropriate. He added some of the finishing touches after completion of the main part of the work. Both were extremely pleasant people to have around the house.

Reliable and efficient

We had a couple of issues with our kitchen sink - a blockage and a loose fitting. We have also used Rhodes plumbing previously for a broken toilet. The team were friendly, efficient and talked me through the process before going ahead. Each time, the problem was fixed in a timely manner. The team cleaned up afterwards as well which is always a bonus!
