I have used Green Planet Tree Services before and had no hesitation in asking Rich to deal with an elder tree which had uprooted during recent windy weather and fallen across the fence and was leaning on the roof of the garage. It was not the easiest of work as it needed to be lifted back over the fence. Needless to say Rich and his team dealt with this quickly and efficiently. I have no hesitation in recommending Green Planet Tree Services.

Rich and his team arrived on time and quickly set about cutting down three trees. I had originally asked for the work to be done on two trees but Rich had no problem agreeing on arrival to do work on an additional tree. The work was done to a high standard and I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the clean-up operation. Very friendly and where necessary fully explained what they were doing.

GPTS trimmed a large overgrown beech hedge and reduced the height of another hedge. Rich arrived on time and completed the job quickly and efficiently leaving our driveway/borders very clean. He was knowledgeable and the price was fair and reasonable. We will definitely use GPTS again.

I used this service as I had read the reviews on Which? Trusted Trader. I had been dealing with the leaves and seeds blocking my gutters and hundreds of seeds planting themselves in my garden every year. Rich looked at the problem and told me what would be needed to remove the trees. The men arrived on the day agreed and worked quickly and efficiently. It was incredible to watch their skill in removing the branches. Rich rang me the next day to ensure I was happy with the work done.

I found GPTS on this website and can't recommend them highly enough. Rich is knowledgeable in what he does and I was really impressed that he checked there were no birds nesting in my dense bay trees, before pruning them. The garden was left clean and tidy, with all debris taken away. I'll definitely be using GPTS in the future.

Great service from Green Planet and a good price. Needed five trees and a bush in front and back gardens trimmed and ready for next spring. Not only did Paul do a great job in trimming and tidying the trees, he also assessed the health of the trees and cut them back in a way that encourages growth and good tree health. A good, reliable and professional service all round. Recommended.

We had a large Ash tree in the back garden that had early stages of Ash die back. From the initial contact, Rich and the team were very helpful. Following the written quote, Rich dealt with the Council planning permission as the tree had a TPO. The team arrived on time on the agreed date and explained in detail their 'plan of action". It was very interesting watching Paul and Guy at work and it was clear they knew their stuff. They were also patient in answering my various and numerous questions during the job!. Once the tree was down and logged the clear up was first class. All in all a professional job from start to finish.

The third time that I have used this company Paul and Guy did an excellent job and left everything very clean and tidy. Very satisfactory estimate which was kept to. Looking forward to using them again next year

Would not hesitate to recommend Green Planet Tree Services. We just had them do a crown reduction on a very overgrown Holm Oak. Rich was generous with his advice prior to appointment and he is extremely knowledgable. The advice was based on the health of the tree and its wildlife inhabitants. We were very confident they would do a good job and they did. Very efficient and very tidy. They left our driveway tidier than they found it and the tree looks nice and healthy. We are very pleased and hope to have Green Planet back when necessary.

I employed Rich from Green Planet to fell 3 overgrown conifers in my garden and advise on a third tree. He came out to survey the work the day after speaking to him on the phone and was able to carry out the work the following week. He and his colleague were professional and knowledgeable. The work did not take long, they took away the debris and used a leaf blower to clear up as best they could. I would happily use them again if required.

This was the second time that I had used Green Planet for work. As before, the result was as I had expected. All requirements were met and everything was left clean and tidy. I chose Green planet because of their positive approach to tree management. I required a crown reduction on our beautiful mature copper beech, and (sadly) our old rowan tree needed to be brought down to a safe height. Rich's cost assessment for this work was reasonable. It was carried out by two highly professional tree surgeons, with skill and consideration for the trees they worked on. I would highly recommend.

Rich and his team have looked after the trees on the communal areas of our small estate of residences for several years. Many of our trees are magnificent old cedars, and all the trees have protection orders on them, so work must be done with great care. Following the recent storms, one of the cedars was damaged by the high winds, with several branches torn and blown down and one left hanging in the tree, just above a car parking area. Because of the health and safety risk, this caused, it was urgent for us to have an assessment of the safety of the hanging branch and have it removed. This week, and many times in the past following storm damage, Rich has gone out of his way to respond quickly, has seen to the tree damage, cleared up afterwards, and removed the health and safety risk to our residents. We cannot recommend Green Planet highly enough. Their knowledge and love of trees is astounding, and they have skillfully helped us maintain the shape and beauty of our trees. They now know our trees well and offer valuable guidance about work needed in the short and longer term, so we can plan and budget. Their work is undertaken on time and to budget, and their communication always friendly and efficient. It is a genuine pleasure to work with such professionals and to know we can completely trust their work.

The Silver Birch had grown in an "unruly" way, partially due to a poor crown reduction some years earlier, and it had become very large. We wanted the tree size noticeably reduced but were keen for it not to "look odd" after. Richard's advice was clear about what he considered could be done, and provided a written quotation very promptly. He called at the house again around the intended time with Paul, an Arborist on the team to review the tree and plan the work. They expressed concern that the sap was running very strongly and might stress the tree. It was agreed to delay the work from early March until August to protect the tree. The work started in August as planned and was undertaken with great skill. The volume of the tree was reduced without detriment to the shape, which was not only maintained but enhanced with Guy in the tree and Paul directing the cutting from the ground and clearing the debris. It was a big job, the work was completed in about 6 hours from start and the site left spotless. The whole team have a great understanding of and compassion for the trees, clearly enjoy their work, are concerned for the long term welfare and management of the trees and are able to communicate well with the customer. I have no hesitation in recommending Richard Price and the team for such work. It was completed on time, to cost and plan. Very professional outfit.

Richard and his team removed an extremely large Ash tree from our back garden, which had unfortunately become much too large and was crossing our borders, causing potential issues with neighbours. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price. Richard and his team were very polite and friendly, punctual, pleasant to have around with no bad language, loud radios and the like. Everything was left tidy, our fence and shed were not damaged and we were pleased with the job.

I have used this company once or twice a year since 2016, during which time they have carried general garden maintenance and tree work. A budget and time schedule was agreed. On this occasion the price was reduced on completion as it was finished in less time they programmed. They have always completed the works as agreed in a efficient and helpful manner.

Really excellent job. The trees have been left with a lovely shape, and have been pruned back as we needed. One tree was over gravel which is a real pain to clear debris from but the team carefully laid out sheets to collect the debris to avoid leaves and branches falling onto the gravel. And they went above and beyond the job and cleared up fallen leaves and branches that I'd not been well enough to clear and were going to mulch into the gravel. I was really touched by this. Really couldn't have asked for more. We're so happy with the work we're booking them in to come regularly.

When the fire service and RSPCA couldn’t help, in desperation I called Rich hoping he could help rescue my 6 month old kitten stuck for 7 hours 49ft up a tree in high winds. He said Paul could help if he was free. Pail called me within 10 minutes and arrived in 30 minutes. Less than 5 minutes later Bruce was safely back on firm ground with a new best friend in Paul. And outstanding service done completely as a goodwill gesture.

Removed two trees and trimmed a third, all in pretty foul weather in the aftermath of Storm Dennis. Despite that no mess! Happily very straightforward to deal with as a company as well.

Green Planet Tree Services did a great job reducing the two trees in our garden. They shaped them well, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleared up thoroughly afterwards. As we live in a conservation area, Rich also prepared and submitted the appropriate paperwork to the council prior to the work starting.

Rich and his colleague came to maintain my large Sycamore and take back a neighbours apple tree to the boundary fence. They arrived on time and after a brief chat, they got on with the job. I've used Rich and his team a couple of times over the years and they never fail to deliver. The work is always top quality and Rich is always happy to share his wisdom and knowledge. I cannot recommend Rich and his team highly enough.

Great work by Richard and his team. Removed a large ash tree and a tall conifer from a tricky position, overhanging neighbouring garden. All done in a day, without any problems. Richard was highly professional, polite and knowledgeable. Cleared away the debris, leaving us 3 great ash sections for use as garden stools. Would use again/recommend. Was cheaper than an alternative quote and quick to respond to emails.

Pruned 2 fruit trees and felled an ash, all work to a good standard and cleared up well afterwards. Would recommend.
