The guys from R M Blake came round today to replace my ancient Baxi back boiler with a new combi. They were professional from the start, recommending me an appropriate new boiler model and answering several questions I had before I had even settled on having the work done. They turned up early on the day they said, did all the work needed in a single day, and tidied up before leaving. They removed all the old bits - the boiler, tanks and old thermostat. The new boiler looks cleanly and neatly fitted, as is the new smart thermostat control. Before they left they made sure I was confident using the control and phone app, and showed me how the combi works. The guys were friendly and made me feel confident in their work, as well as comfortable to ask questions. I absolutely plan to reach out to them for any other plumbing jobs I have in future.

Just replaced a small radiator with a large towel radiator. Great job, quickly and efficiently completed. Our go-to plumber for all heating jobs, big and small, recently fitted a new boiler for a relative, an excellent and fairly priced job. Highly recommended.

I've used used Mike's services on two separate occasions, once to fix a water leak in our central heating and again to fix a gas leak and install a new cooker. On both occasions he has turned up on the agreed date/time and carried out the work to a high standard and with a friendly and efficient manner. Thoroughly recommended.

Mike arrived when he said he would, took care to minimise mess during the removal and install and we had a new boiler installed and working that day. Mike was polite, respected social distancing and wore a mask at all times. The cost was as quoted (adjusted down to reflect a last minute change I requested). Very Happy. Thank you Mike

From the very start when I contacted Mike he was very professional and helpful he came out the same day I contacted him for a quote for a new boiler and 3 new radiators to be fitted. Once I had everything finalised it was a week later they came out. They arrived when they said they would arrive started work straight away. They both was very polite nothing was to much trouble as we added and other radiator on to be fitted the same day. They cleaned up after them self's and made sure I understood how the new boiler work and talked me through how to use the app to control the boiler.

I'd like to thank Mike and his colleague from R M Blake for the excellent replacement of my leaking 17 year old Powermax boiler. I was given an itemised quote which I appreciated It was done quickly and efficiently with great care and I was kept well informed of how the work was progressing.. They arrived on time and the work was completed in a day with care taken to minimise any mess. Everything was cleared up when they finished and all the rubbish removed. Before they left the boiler and thermostat controls were explained to me in detail. I would definitely recommend R M Blake to my family and friends.

I am writing this review for a friend who has no computer who lives 5 door away Mike was contacted regarding taking out an old and I mean old Baxi back boiler and replacing the complete system with a Combi Boiler and new radiators. He and his staff started the next week as promised and finished 3 days later as promised. There were a few teething problems but Mike returned and fixed them each time as he promised. The system has now been running for about three weeks completely fault free so this review has been given time for said system to completely settle down. Would we use Michael again for any Plumbing Heating or Gas problems? Yes, without a doubt. He has been a complete man of his word and we would recommend him 100 per cent.

I contacted Michael Blake through check a trade for a service on glow worm gas boiler costing 60 pounds. He did not carry out the service as recommended by glow worm, just did a safety check and give me a print out stating it was working okay, this took him no more than15 minutes He said it didn't need cleaning inside. I informed him that the boiler seem to be over heating he said its an old boiler and could be anything there's no fault showing now, if he had spent a little more time on cleaning the inside of the boiler and leaving in on to heat up he would have seen the fault. Just after him leaving the boiler cut out, he just could not wait to leave I would not recommended Michael Blake.

Here at R M Blake we take feedback very seriously, good or bad. On this instance the consumer contacted us for a service which is exactly what he got. The correct service was carried out as specified in the M.I. and a full gas analysis report was provided. Prior to and during the service, the consumer failed to mention that there was an intermittent fault with the boiler. This fault did not show during the service, and only once we left the property did the consumer come out to the van and explain the fault. We feel that the consumer assumed fault finding would be part of a service but unfortunately it isn’t. We fully explained what a service involves and even gave advise on what the fault could be, but explained that it would be an additional cost to repair. As a gesture of good will for the consumer's misunderstanding he wasn’t charged for the service. We also suggested that when making any calls to companies in the future, any faults with the boiler are fully outlined so the required work can be booked in correctly.
