Britannia Robbins

Britannia Robbins Swansea moved us in June 2022 and we had to place most of our items into storage. With a house under renovation some 70 miles from Swansea they looked after it extremely well, secure and safe. On returning our items in December 2023 everything was returned and the highest care taken in delivering the items. Jamie who picked the items up initially delivered them to the new property, he was outstanding, knew his job inside out, a top employee. Outstanding service, outstanding staff and nothing too much trouble.

My removal took place over 2 days due to the distance involved. Day one started with dry weather which deteriorated into a long downpour. The removal crew did everything they could to keep my belongings dry and to minimise the dirt being brought into the house by laying down blankets and plastic covering. Day two brought better weather, and as day 1 the crew were very much on time, friendly (and funny which lightened the stressful experience of a full house move) and worked fast and safely. I can truthfully say that in such a demanding situation the removers were spot on, I cannot fault them. They were very considerate and efficient, i.e. totally professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and relatives if their service was required.

We chose Robbins to manage our complex move from two homes, in Swansea and London, to France. Everything about the whole operation, including packing, storing, wrapping, dealing with the bureaucracy, and above all collection and delivery in coordination with a French remover, was perfect. The removers were careful and good natured - not to mention tireless! I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

So very glad we decided to use Brittania Robbins for our move. From the minute that Paul came to evaluate everything, we were met with outstanding professionalism and friendly courtesy that instilled so much confidence that all out worldly goods would be extremely well taken care of. This was definitely the case and was further enforced when the team arrived the day before to load the vehicle. We packed a lot ourselves but the furniture, televisions, mirrors, paintings etc were packed by the boys, not to mention all the garage and she'd. No matter what it was, they packed with such care and diligence. The following day Ben and Tony arrived at our new home and worked so hard and carefully transported everything in. Not only did they so a superb job, they were both an absolute pleasure to deal with and felt more like friends when they eventually departed. We recently moved home from Swansea to Llandudno and Britannia Robbins provided outstanding service from start to finish. Due to completion problems, we were not able to give very much notice for the booking but we were fitted in with no problem. From the very first contact with the company representative Paul Davies who came to asses our needs, we found everything was done in a highly professional and courteous manner. The removal team were faultless - our move took a few days to complete and we had a lot of items to be transported. The care and patience taken with our things were second to none, and throughout the process the team was friendly and very helpful. We would highly recommend this company.

I recently moved house and used Britannia Robbins to move me. From the outset when Paul, the manager, came to my home to give an estimate, I felt that they were an experienced, professional company. Paul was pleasant and efficient and the price was reasonable. After a setback on my side when my completion date fell through, they were able to give me a new contract. They were also very understanding and sympathetic regarding the stress I was feeling. On moving day, the team of three arrived on time and loaded up the two vans. They were polite and helpful throughout the morning and did whatever they could to make things run smoothly. We had a long wait for the keys to my new home and although this can be a problem when people move, they were very patient. They unloaded everything as quickly as possible once we did get the keys and put things in the right places. It was a long day for them but they did not complain. My new neighbour, who is elderly and uses a stick was also impressed with them as they had had to park outside her house as well as mine to unload. When they had finished and it was dark by now, they went in to tell her she could move her car back in and waited until she had done so and was safely back inside her home before leaving. I’ve written a long review as I wanted to illustrate just how reliable, professional and helpful this company is. I would recommend them to anyone.

It was absolutely fabulous dealing with Brittania Robbins for our move, which was quite complicated. We were being strung along in a chain with no certainty of a completion date. On top of this we had an overseas trip booked which could not be cancelled! All of the above were merely “No problems Sir” for Mr Geoffery Robbins and Mr Paul Davies! While Paul did all the planning around our haywire schedule, Jeff took personal interest in overseeing everything. The move was in stages. Packing, overseas trip, removing, delivery and unpacking. The guys who did the actual work obviously took great pride in the job they were doing. Extremely friendly, super efficient and willing to cater to our whims yet firm about what was not physically possible, we can’t thank Steve, Jamie, Rob, Tony and all the others enough! We have had a flawless experience with Brittania Robbins and would recommend them for any house move, big or small.

The service provided by Britannia Robbins was exceptional. From the start when the survey was carried out on our premises to the final load arriving at our new premises everything was completed professionally. Britannia Robbins moved our business which was over four floors to our new warehouse. This was not an easy job but was completed on time and there were no breakages. All the stock moved during the three days was fragile. I can't thank Britannia Robbins enough for making the transition as easy and as faultless as possible. I would also like to thank the lads which moved the stock. They were tremendous, professional and made the move seamless - thank you.

Initially the company suitably collected and safely stored our possessions, before then transporting them from the UK to our new home in Spain. Throughout the said 5 week process we were entirely happy and content with the staff involved with the full house move, and can add that the two staff members who specifically moved/placed our belongings into the villa provided first class advice, guidance, graft and expertise on the actual day of the move. Given our recent experience we would recommend this UK based company to others looking to relocate to Europe.

Our recent move was far from smooth as the completion date was changed several times but, thanks to the Britannia Robbins team, particularly Donna, we were finally installed. The packers were extremely careful and diligent, also very patient and helpful. Thanks particularly to Tony, Ben and Kieran. We used Britannia Robbins to move us from Swansea to our new home in England. I cannot praise them enough for the job that they did. From organising the first visit to quote, to contacting the office with queries and then to the actual removal days themselves, all went incredibly smoothly. In particular the removal guys were amazing. They turned up on time, worked incredibly hard and were just sociable enough for it not to feel awkward. We moved during a heat wave, and unpacking into our new home was hard for us - let alone the guys doing all the work. But they never stopped, never complained, just got on with the job with a smile. They even took time to mend a bookcase that was rickety - above and beyond the call of duty. I would definitely recommend Britannia Robbins (the Swansea branch) to anyone.

Have recently had a complicated move involving lots of uncertainties and my house contents having to go in and out of storage. Paul did his utmost to sort out what was a stressful situation for me....and it couldn't have been easy for him...Thankyou Paul for your kindness and patience!! The crew were all great...they were back and forth on several occasions and were always helpful, polite and considerate. I would certainly highly recommend using this firm.

Britannia Robbins of Swansea were a pleasure to deal with and the removal was carried out very efficiently. Their administration and and point of contact Donna Davies was excellent, and the removal team of Steve, Levi and Chris were first class being courteous, very obliging and extremely efficient. We had excellent service throughout from an experienced family firm who ensured the client's needs were their priority. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend them.

We had our household effects in storage with Britannia Robbins for about a year and a half while we looked for a house. When we unpacked the cartons after delivery we found that the bulk of them had been ruined by water damage. Material and leather goods had red rust spots, some covered with white powdery mould and black mould, metal objects badly rusted, metal rims of lamp shades etc, and everything reeked of dank mould. As soon as we knew the extent of the damage we contacted Britannia Robbins sending photographs and requesting a claim form, we received no reply. Eventually after two weeks and two formal letters they replied by email to apologise and say they did not know what had happened. Following this we had one rather confrontational phone call from Britannia Robbins which ended when they put the phone down on us. After six months we finally agreed to an insurance settlement. Although, as this was on an indemnity basis it did not cover the cost of replacement. We are very disappointed in what happened and the way we have been treated by Britannia Robbins we would have expected such a prestigious company to have acted in a more understanding and sympathetic manner, not exactly a ‘Trusted Trader’.

The whole experience with Britannia Robbins was just great. From the outset they were polite and very professional. There was nothing that was too much trouble from the initial contact with Donna to shaking Marks hand as they left. Would highly recommend them to anybody. WELL DONE

Not so simple move handled professionally and very quickly. We moved from a 3 Bed on a main road with double yellows to a 4 bed in a tight cramped street and the crew were amazing. They had 90% of the items packed on the first day with also filing up one van in the process and the rest was packed with furniture that was dismantled on the second day. They have finished around 1400 on the second day. Aftercare service is just as great. Been told when ever we have finished unpacking be it in a week or month then give them a call and they will collect all the moving material. Would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you Five stars.

I have successfully used Britannia several times in the past and this time was no exception. Britannia collected my home contents from Bristol, arrived on time, packed all items carefully with ease and left the same day to storage in Swansea. Several months later, the shipment was relocated to our new home, without damage as testament to the care and professionalism of their employees. I would certainly recommend Britannia to anyone, without reservation!

Very pleased to take delivery of a sofa using Britannia Robins to deliver a sofa through the exterior of a 2nd floor flat using their lifting equipment and operator team. The sofa could not be lifted up the stairs. The only option was through exterior sliding doors about 26 feet off the ground using Lifting equipment. The weather was poor on the day, but the job was very well managed by the whole team and successful and I'm a happy customer. Thanks

We came upon Britannia Robbins when our original shipper let us down. They was a little more expensive but well worth the extra expense to ensure that all my contents arrived in one piece. The guys expertly wrapped everything in the UK which ensured on the other side that not one piece was broken. Everything was still intact which included mirrors, big glass items, framed jerseys and delicate crockery, as well as my tables, chairs etc. The whole process was fantastic and the guys they chose in the US was also very good and so easy to work with. The paperwork was quite detailed, but this ensured that my stuff cleared customs with no problems whatsoever, and no extra costs at all to myself. I'm so glad that I chose Britannia Robbins.

I am over the moon with the service provided, Ben and Gerald moved me from Swansea to Barry, they were so professional, polite and could not do enough for me, it was made stress free for me and my daughter, at 78 yrs old it's a huge relief to me that the service was so perfect and went so smoothly, can't thank you enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Definitely a recommendation to anyone needing this service.

We had amazing help from Andrew Robbins and his staff, he booked us in to move our household furniture into storage, everything was done promptly, efficiently and with no hiccups, lovely staff and very helpful. We would highly recommend their service, we know that our furniture is in excellent hands in storage till we have a date to move into another property, to which we know they will then deliver it for us. This is the second time Andrew has moved us and will always use their service.
