I had to get a bumper replaced and a headlamp changed and it is perfect. The car looks better than when I bought it secondhand and the colour matching on the paint is exactly right.

Simon was a fantastic help to me when fixing exterior damage from a pesky run in with a bus. All work was completed to a high standard, with the car resprayed, cleaned and screen wash topped up. Simon even noticed a balding tyre and organised and completed the replacement of this, as well as filling the other tyres up for me. This saved me having to drive in dangerous conditions and find another garage. Overall Simon and his team were organised, friendly and did a brilliant job on my car. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I saw SGH advertising in the MX5 owners magazine and thought I'd give them ago to repair the two rear sills on my X reg NB. I have been very impressed with the level of service, from getting a quote, booking it in and getting the works completed. I found them to be trustworthy, very knowledgeable, friendly and very good at their job. I would highly recommend Simon and his team.

Due to a confrontation with a wild animal, I needed some work done to repair/replace my bumper on a 12 month old T Roc. Whilst Mazda specialists, we as a family have used this business now 3 times in the last 8 years for private work. Always friendly with a dry sense of humour, Simon gives honest feedback on works needed and cost. Initially was hoping for a repair, but damage turned out more extensive so needed a full bumper, grill replacement and respray to match the vehicle. Great quality of work, car looks like new and done within 2/3 days. Whilst not needed, offered lifts if required re car drop off and pick up. Don’t be put off by the business location, premises and access, work is of a very high standard. Highly recommended.

This is the second time using Simon and team. This time was to repair and paint a some rust bubbles on my 2005 MR2, including a tricky one on the windscreen pillar. This meant to do properly the screen needing to come out. Once out, a few other issues were found. Also a repair on the rear wing that had a rust bubble. Once off they found that it had been repaired poorly in the past and cut out the old rusty metal and patched it, not that you would know to look at as it looks like a factory finish. All bits were repaired to a really high standard. Simon and the team have lots of experience and that defiantly shows in the quality of the work, and I'd be happy to use him again in the future.

I've been to these guys a few times and can't recommend them enough. From bodywork, to new exhausts and fixing general wear and tear of my car. Simon is always very helpful, great value and able to fix issues on the day or soon after. There is even some cute dogs to keep you company while you wait.

1. They were recommended to me from a trusted body shop as the other shop couldn't proceed without specialist equipment. 2. They were busy, but sorted me out within 24h as while they couldn't complete the job, Simon wanted me in a position that someone else could. 3. Cost felt fair for the job. 4. Simon was personable. 5. I cannot recommend SGH Bodyworks highly enough! Simon was so friendly and helpful, fixing the damage to my car door then and there for just a small fee. If you ever need your bodywork sorted, go along to SGH, you won't regret it.

The guys at SGH & Sons Bodyworks are amazing. I just stopped by with my car to refill the A/C and they did the job on the spot and cost-effective. I ended up bringing my partner's car as well on the same day for the A/C to be refilled. Amazing service, fast and cost-effective. Totally recommending it especially for Mazda owners as they are Mazda specialists.

Having read all the great reviews of SGH bodywork, we took our car for a quote on some scratches. Simon quoted a great price, booked us in quickly and completed it within a couple of hours. I was pleased I chose SGH for my 08 MX5 bodywork, as a specialist for that car. Simon was friendly and encouraged me to look with him at/under the car once up on the stand. I felt I had a good sense of what was needed but could take my time to decide what was a priority. Originally I had in mind much more extensive rust proofing but having looked together we felt that wasn’t necessary. I had various small jobs done and I would happily go back.

2007 MX5 NC, didn't think the headlights were too bad but decided to get them refurbed. Boy was I wrong! Left car for a couple of hours, went for a long walk along the river. Simon called to let me know when job done. The headlights are now like new, I can't believe the difference! I drove 60 miles round trip because these guys do a lot of MX5 work and it was well worth the effort. Cost was very competitive too, seems like no job is too big or too small. A couple of years ago a section at the rear of one of my car's sills had rusted through and had been repaired quickly during lock-down to get the car through its MoT. This year it failed again and I found SGH Bodyworks after an internet search. I went to the Bodyworks site and was very impressed at the work they are doing there - to the point where I wondered if my patch-up job would too small to consider. No worries there - the repair was started the next working day and completed the day after. What I really liked was the helpful can do ethos, and that all of the work was photographed at every stage so that you can see just what has been done, and that it has been done thoroughly (even the hidden bits).

We always take our beloved Mazda MX5 Mk 2 to Simon and the team at SGH Bodyworks. Over the last 5 years we have had the car repaired (rusting sills and front wheel arches) and regular service and MOT. We have always had a great service and the car looks so much better now!

Simon was so helpful and was determined to help me find the cause of the screeching sound coming from my car. He's obviously done a lot of good work around Bristol as during my first short visit to his garage a lady came by with a gift to for him to say thank you for doing such a good job on her car, I instantly felt I could trust him to do the job.

I had used Simon for a repair on my son's Ford Fiesta in 2016. The work was excellent. My partner had someone reverse into her VW Golf recently, and needed a repair on the offside rear bumper. Simon took a look and quoted without fuss and at a very competitive price. He offered to do the work within a week, but we had to delay taking in due to our own commitments. The finish on the job is excellent with a true paint match etc. Good friendly customer service. There was a slight half a day delay in completing the work, as since booking the car in, Simon had an unexpected funeral to go to. However, he kept us informed by phone of progress. True to his word the car was given a thorough external wash! Would use again and recommend.

Simon and his team took in our MX5 for extensive rust treatment and prevention. We were very impressed with Simon's knowledge, expertise and helpfulness. There was a delay due to a vital bush unavailable in the UK, (supply was somewhere in a container ship in the South China sea). Great job and able to see progress at different stages.

I took my MX5 Mk1 to SGH Bodyworks as I wanted to use someone who knows MX5’s, and they certainly do. My Mk1 needed both front wings replacing as they had rusted through on the lower edges. Whilst there there were lots of other items that needed attention too. Simon recommend that I have the sills painted to match the body colour, and wow it certainly gives a great fresh look to the car. While there they also painted the bumper’s and mud flaps and lots of work that you cannot readily see . The attention to detail is first class. One thing that to me is very important is that they have their own low bake oven , so all the paintwork is done in house. Simon and the team are very friendly and knowledgeable I’m absolutely delighted as to how the car turned out. I would highly recommend SGH Bodyworks for all your MX5 needs. Simply Fabulous.

My MX-5 mk2 needed rust repairs. Visited Simon at SGH and son Bodyworks. Simon is very knowledgeable about bodywork repairs. Gave me a detailed idea of what needed doing. Photo's of all work done. Really worth going to a specialist. Great work at a fair price. Recommended.

Simon at SGH was great at keeping me informed, they did amazing work to my very very rusty mx5 that I thought was beyond saving. New chassis rails, extensive repairs to the battery box and inner sills to a very high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend to others or use them again.

Simon and his team sold me a well-kept and serviced Ford Transit Van. From the moment I inquired with them, they were lovely, professional and respectful towards me even though I had millions of questions and concerns as a first time van buyer. They are very experienced with all things car, van and engine related. Since I bought the van they have been extremely kind to me: they have changed the AC, serviced the van, taught me about the engine and electrics, and helped me sort new keys. They have also helped me to strip the inside of the van, clean and pressure wash it at their yard - they have gone above and beyond for me and I am really appreciative of this. I brought my car to Simon to get a quote for repairing corrosion on the alloys, which had begun to leak air from the tires. I'd had an expensive quote from elsewhere with an estimated 5 days without my car, which would be very difficult for me without a courtesy car, and I came across SGH via Which. Simon assessed the alloys on the spot and said he thought the problem could be fixed by just refurbishing the edges as the main sections looked in fairly good condition, which seemed very practical to me, and gave a very fair ballpark price which I was happy with. He said he had availability to do the job in a few days' time and that he could do it in one day, which I was surprised at, but very pleased if this could be done rather than be without the car for longer than a day or two. When the tires were off there was more corrosion than expected, but Simon very kindly worked hard to stick to the timeframe he had given me, even though I would have been happy for him to have had it another day or two due to the unforeseen circumstances. In the end he worked late to finish it and it was ready for me to collect the next morning. Overall I'm very pleased and the alloys appear to be much improved. Thank you Simon.

Simon and his team completed a couple of important repairs to my MX5 at short notice and to a very high standard. They have the knowledge and experience of MX5's for those fiddly or tricky jobs that your local garage may not have, so I would highly recommend giving them a try be it for mechanical or cosmetic work. They also undertake insurance and restoration work. The bodywork on the MX5 MK1 Dakar I saw while there which they were finishing restoring looked like new.

Simon and his colleagues did a fantastic job fixing up my Ford Focus Estate after I'd been run into by a delivery driver just before Christmas. Simon gave some really good insightful advice in the lead-up to taking the car and even picked it up for me from the insurer's garage. The job is great and car looks as good as new. I think we would have both liked the job to be done a bit quicker, but was dependent on parts being available and was worth it to get a really reasonable price. Thanks Simon.

Simon and the guys at SGH did a fantastic job for me of fixing the back bumper on my car which proved more difficult as it was non-standard. They sent pictures through as the work was in progress so we could keep up to date. Good professional service and at a good price as well would recommend.

I had read about Simon and his team as well as seen the SGH advert. I wanted a hard top from my previous MX5 and the rear bumper from my current MX5 (both NA's) refurbished. Both were in a pretty poor state... the completed work was outstanding very pleased that I made the journey from north Cheltenham to Crews Hole Bristol. Only problem... gonna make the rest of the car look a little shabby. Existing paint job is still pretty OK but Simon and the team have done such a good job that I'm going to have to get them to do the rest of the car. I booked my 2004 MX-5 in for sill and chassis rail repairs, as an advert for SGH was displayed in the owners club magazine. In short, Simon and his workshop team have an excellent attention to detail. The quality of the welding and the finish, even up close is something to behold. On a workmanship basis i would definitely recommend them. What tainted my experience somewhat was the lack of /mis-communications with both me (the customer) and between the workshop team and the administration department. Whilst there were some verbal 'it should be around x amount' conversations, I had to ask for written estimates for work 3 times and never actually received anything. Welding work started without official 'go-ahead' from me - not cool. The only confirmation of the cost came when the bill arrived and was much more than i had expected. In fairness to the team, we did reach a price that i was more comfortable with after some negotiation (i was quite firm about my expectations at this point as i'm sure Simon will attest!) but neither of us needed that hassle. So i think to summarise, the learning points from my experience for SGH and future customers would be: - Work quality is a non-issue. Fantastic - Written estimates need to be given before commencing work - Talk to your customers regularly - even a courtesy call every few days Thanks for a great job. I hope my comments are taken in the constructive manner they are meant, sorry I couldn't write more here!

front chassis rails badly corroded and rear sill/wheel arch. Took it to SGS who checked it and confirmed these needed doing but all else was good-I asked them to re underseal as well, and they found two drop links needed replacement which I had heard knocking-but did not know from where. This they also did. Their service was excellent and friendly and the result was a first class job from all at SGS at a very reasonable cost. I am too far away to use them for routine service but will be back to them for any other work I may need-but after what they have done not expecting anything much for a while. The cost was as quoted with drop links at cost and was completed as promised (I delayed collection by few days as was unable to collect when finished)

I handed over my 19 yr old MX5 to Simon when the list of faults started to scare me. He carried out all the work and even arranged for the leather seats to be recovered and refitted whilst with him. I now have a 19 yr old car that looks and smells brand new! If it wasn't for the number plate I wouldn't have recognised it.

Like a fool I parked next to a trolley bay in my local supermarket, & failed to see the metal bar along the edge. I managed to dent & scratch my passenger rear door. I contacted Simon, not having used his services before and he assured me it would be easy to repair & make my car look like new. When i went to collect, he was as good as his word & my car looked like before the dent. Very good quality of work and service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We needed our van repaired within a tight time frame. Over Christmas and before New year. S G H completed the work to an excellent standard before the deadline and didn't charge us a fortune. In fact they were cheaper than our other quotes. They even replaced a couple of bulbs that were out and only charged for the bulbs. I can't hesitate to recommend Simon and team enough!

The quote was provided in a few days after assessing the damage to my car. After accepting the quote I was given a few dates when it could be brought in to be fixed. The repair was done quickly, to a really good standard and didn't break the bank. I'm really pleased and would have no hesitation recommending them.

I broke down 200 metres from the garage and they came and pushed my car all the way there. Immediately they had the car lifted up and found the fuel line was completely disconnected. They fixed the problem in a short amount of time and also cheered me up with friendly chat and great customer service. I would highly recommend SGH Bodyworks to anyone and in a weird way glad I broke down to close as I have now found my new favourite garage.
