They came very well recommended, however it’s been one problem after another. I came back to a bathroom without a shower fitted despite the job being ‘finished’. Then I had a leak through my kitchen from the bathroom which they did fix, but they already knew the issue and ignored it during the bathroom fitting. On top of this, the boiler now fires every time the cold tap is turned on (did not happen before bathroom was replaced) and I’ve had to pay £300 to get a boiler engineer come out and tell me the boiler is fine and it’s their fault. I’ve and no apology, and now we know what the boiler issue is, they were supposed to come and fit a pressure reducing valve a week ago. I was called the day after despite having already said I was going on holiday and I haven’t heard from them since. The bathroom sealant looks like it was done by a child also in some areas, and they’ve dripped it all over the tiles we discussed not replacing so I had to scrape it off myself. Saying this job is amateur would be an insult to amateurs.

Mike and his Team did and excellent job of converting my Dining Room into a Kitchen Diner, the old Kitchen into a Utility Room and move a Boiler from an upstairs Bedroom into the Utility Room. They also ripped out the fireplace and raised the lintel, ready for a hob and hood to fitted in its place. This was all going on whilst I had another company converting a cellar who had an issue with their plumber being off sick. Fortunately John was at hand to help in his stead, by fitting a new gas mains pipe and at the same time identify that there wasn't an earth bond to my gas intake. Whilst I told them to use my back yard as a skip for the duration of the works, they ensured all rubble and rubbish was tidied up and taken away. Whilst it took a couple of months to complete, I certainly happy with the results.

I had cheaper estimates but the professional way in which the survey was done and explained gave me faith in the company from the start. We agreed a start date by Tasha and also the time the engineer would arrive and good as their word he arrived at 8.00 on the dot. He introduced himself (John)and informed me what would be happening next in and how long it would take everything was done in a very organised way he left the garage where the boiler was sited cleaner than when he started such a neat and tidy job finally he showed great patience in showing me how to use the app control on my phone even downloading it for me. John represents this company in such a professional way. Thank you very much for your help John.

I needed my boiler repairing and after having it bodged by another company. I found S&M and John promptly came out to have a look. He did the repair but said honestly that it would most likely be a temporary fix. In the end I decided to get a new boiler and chose S&M to give a quote. Mike was friendly and honest (which is rare these days). He went through all the options and told me what would be best for my needs. So with boiler chosen, John came back to do the installation. What a top guy he is. Extremely professional and polite. And within a couple of days I had a brand new sparkly boiler. A slight hiccup a couple of days ago (no fault of S&M by the way), and after a quick email to Tash in their office, John was back and got it sorted the following day. A superb local company providing an excellent service at every step of the way. Mike, John and Tash... 10/10 and deserve a pat on the back.

I had been putting off a big job on my elderly mum’s home for some time - namely changing her heating system from a back boiler to a combi boiler and replacing all the radiators. Found S&M Plumbing & Heating online. Local company and excellent reviews, so began the process, albeit with a little trepidation. Needn’t have worried at all. The owner of the business, Mike, arrived at mums, as arranged, to look at what was required and prepare a quote. At the end of the meeting I could tell he cared about doing a good job and knew I was in safe hands. Quote arrived with me the following day. It was a fair price and around the figure I was expecting. 8 weeks on and the job has just been completed and to a very high standard, thanks to engineers John and Chris. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very respectful of mum’s home. John even returned to hose down and clean the driveway. Final mention to Tash in the office, who coordinated things in a very friendly and efficient way. I am delighted - as is mum! Great job guys and thank you all very much.

Glad I choose to use S&M Pluming. Suffered for several years with a noisy hot water pipe (random clicking) after using kitchen tap, also knocking noise when toilet system refilled after flushing. Also required a new WC , Vanity/sink unit fitting, removal of floor tiles which were replaced with ply sheet and then vinyl cushion flooring. Noisy pipes eliminated by cutting and re-route to several pipes then securing. Then the other new installations were carried out. Quote was very reasonable by Albert, excellent help from Tasha and Mike at the office. Great to have a proper telephone communications and not have to rely on mobile/text messaging. All the plumbing and installations carried out by Trevor, who provided a very helpful, informative service and kept me advise what was being done. Plumbing is now very quiet. Bathroom excellent.

I have used S & M for a number of years for plumbing and annual boiler maintenance. Recently during the scheduled boiler maintenance my boiler failed its emissions tests. A disaster for me as I am reliant on heating and hot water. John made some phone calls and returned at 8-00 am the following morning with a new Worcester Bosch boiler. John and his colleague Albert worked hard in appalling weather conditions and by mid day next day had the new latest edition Worcester Bosch up and running with all the operation and safety checks completed. such an enormous relief to me. They are an excellent company I cannot praise them highly enough. I have no reservation at all in recommending them.

Our boiler broke just before Christmas so after reading the reviews I contacted a and m plumbing. Mike came and gave me a quote which was reasonable and we also took the interest free payments over 5 years which is a brilliant option as it makes it much easier as we are on a budget as most people are nowadays. John the engineer turned up on time and we left him to it, when we returned he had cleaned up any mess he had left and also removed a took with him any of the old equipment and rubbish. Our boiler came with a 5 year guarantee on the stipulation that it is serviced by a woster Bosch engineer yearly which covers any issues you may have in that time period. I can't fault this company, they have done everything they said they would and no issues at all. An honest company with great standards. I would definitely recommend.

Great service both from Mike who surveyed and priced the job and the engineer John who replaced the boiler . We had an old Worcester Bosch boiler and John fitted a new 28i boiler in the kitchen. John , the engineer did a great job and explained what he was doing at all stages of the job. John was very friendly and engaging and left the work area spotless. Very impressed with the quality of the service provided by SM Plumbing and Heating from their prompt and comprehensive site visit to the excellent installation of our new heating system. Was a big job with John and Chris working hard, always with a smile, for 3 days despite a few challenges thrown at them with the existing pipe works and some difficult to access areas. My daughter recently had her bathroom upgraded. The bath was replaced with a new shower tray, glass shower panel, wall panels and shower head and riser. The sink and vanity unit were replaced and WC was repositioned. The floor tiles were replaced with PVC flooring. Home visit to view the room and discuss options. She was not limited to purchasing units from S&M and my daughter bought her own sink, vanity unit and flooring. She bought a shower and shower tray from S&M at a very reasonable price. All work carried out by Tony was of a very high standard and completed on time. My Daughter and Grandsons are very happy with their new shower and Grandad very happy with the standard of work and service. Well done.

S&M put a new walk-in shower for us a few years ago, and we were happy with the work, so they were our go-to people when we wanted a new boiler. Mike measured up 9th May, John and Chris put two new radiators and four thermostatic valves on 15th May and a new Worcester boiler yesterday 18th. Cheerful and hard workers, all rubbish removed and everywhere left tidy. Very pleased with the work done and the price. So helpful and friendly, would certainly recommend. Thanks everyone.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting Mike and John from S&M. I was initially very impressed with the service S&M provided which was reinforced when John arrived to fit a new Worcester Bosch boiler. They were both very polite and professional and listened to me (the customer) to my needs and requirements. The job was carried out exactly as they promised/estimated. John was outstanding he is an excellent, and knowledgeable heating engineer, he arrived on time on both days and was respectful to both us and our property. His attitude to his work was quite refreshing not accepting anything but the best, he did a great job, I couldn't be happier. I certainly hope S&M realise the wonderful asset they have in John, I would certainly recommend them.

This is an easy review and a rare one-word summary; Brilliant! But of course you need more, so I’ll elaborate. From start to finish S & M were wonderful to work with. Initially Mike came to assess the job and recommended a combi boiler to replace our existing traditional boiler system. We didn’t just want a simple replacement, we wanted the new boiler to be far better than the old one, improving the level of heat that we experience in our extension, as well as the water flow rate to our two showers, things that the old boiler struggled with. After commissioning the job John and Chris came out to do the work, and they were great! They were only with us for three days, and were very friendly, respectful and tidy at all times. They worked very quickly, first installing quite a lot of new pipework (we were moving the boiler downstairs to a new location), setting up the new boiler and then switching us over to the new system. They then removed and disposed of all the old kit, which included a hot water cylinder and header tanks. Our new combi boiler is fantastic. The house has never been warmer, and that includes the extension, and the shower flow rate is so good that you’d think we’d installed two power showers! Mike had obviously sized up the job perfectly. I can heartily recommend S & M and will definitely be back in touch with them again when the need arises. Thank you S & M!

We contacted S&M having used them before, about our broken boiler, Mike attended the very same day and provided us a quote for a new one which we accepted. John came out within the week to install the new boiler and several other components, he was a pleasure to have in our home, very polite and professional! The work was carried out by John and Chris from S+M Plumbing. A great pair of professionals who clearly were experts at their individual roles and working together, which they carried out with courtesy and a touch of humour. They like chocolate! The work was complicated as this involved removing a Baxi back boiler and creating new pipework for a new Worcester Bosch boiler installed in a new location. This involved some underfloor work and additionally fitting an Aqualisia combi adapter for the shower unit, which avoided major reworking of my shower area. Work was competed sooner than I expected and all waste including the old boiler removed and fireplace tidied up. A first class project from everyone on the team, John Chris, Mike and Steve. I had several quotes from other companies for this project however unlike the others, Mike spent a considerable amount of time going through the detail including the best location. Follow-up questions were answered promptly. Price was acceptable as was start date a key feature being the contract being allocated on the basis of Mikes's excellent customer service. John and Chris were unknown and did not disappoint The business should be very proud of them.

The work today was carried out by John and Chris from S+M Plumbing and Heating, both extremely polite and friendly fellows. The job was very demanding in that they had to remove an existing Wooster Bosch boiler from a very constricted fitted cupboard in the kitchen which further involved removing sections of cupboard top and base and a section of the underfloor plywood and insulation to fit a new 28mm feed gas pipe running from the gas meter cupboard at the front of the property through the garage internally and then to the rear of the property under floor. They then had to fit the new Wooster Bosch boiler into the same space (a bigger and heavier boiler), pipe up and test the unit. This was to their great effort all completed and I had a fully working boiler and hot water and heating before they left. An excellent job by very professional and knowledgeable tradesmen.

S&M fitted a new boiler for us. Swift, excellent work from the company. John , our boiler fitter, was brilliant from start to finish. He was prompt, tidy and a pleasure to have in the house. The whole fit was fraught with difficulty as we had issues with gas pressure that Cadent failed to sort for 6 weeks. Throughout this John made sure he was able to come back and commission the boiler as soon as possible. S&M plumbing did an excellent job and I would thoroughly recommend them

John installed our new boiler and it was a pleasure to host him. Initially, he had to contend with a problem with the old gas infrastructure which was not on the plan and he did so neatly and professionally. He kept us informed throughout and left the place clean and tidy at the end. Like all his colleagues at S & M he gives the impression that once the work is complete he will still be contactable in case of any issue. This is why we have been using S&M for major projects since 2018. The very few times problems have arisen they have been faithful to their promises and turned up in a timely way to sort things out.
