About
We are a family run business with over 45 years experience working in North, West, South Yorkshire and the Humberside areas; dealing with all types of gas work, including LPG (domestic and mobile). We use our own engineers and plumbers who are fully qualified and apprentice trained.
We can provide up to 12 year manufacturers warranties with all new boiler installations.

I don’t normally write reviews but I was so impressed with STP plumbing I felt they needed further recommendation. I booked an appointment to have my annual boiler serviced and a new tap fitted in my kitchen. Agreed a time slot between 8am-13.00 at approximately 11am received a phone call from their office to inform me that my allocated engineer had been delayed at a previous job but he would definitely still be coming to me afterwards. I appreciated the fact they had kept me informed so I wasn’t wondering what time he would arrive. He got to me for 13.00 and I was very pleased with his professional approach and efficiency he completed the two jobs and gave me some good advice on some other plumbing projects I am considering and I would feel completely confident in requesting STP Plumbing to carry out these jobs. ST Plumbing are excellent - I described the problem over the phone, as well as the sad story that Corgi engineers (whom I'm insured with) backed away from the problem after 5 attempts to fix it, with the last 3 occurring within weeks of each other. STP assured me that they were familiar with the fault, as it turned out several nearby homes built by the same builder had all experienced identical problems. From their knowledge and experience in fixing those pipes, they gave me a price-range for best and worst case scenario which was still very reasonable. They fixed the problem within 2 hours, cutting out a neat and small panel of the wall which really didn't need any patching up afterwards, and replaced the pipework effectively. No more drips. No more puddles under the microwave (!) No more stress. I strongly recommend ST Plumbing.

We've been using ST for over 13 years. They diagnosed and replaced a faulty valve in our central heating system last week. Before using ST we had experiences of some very different rip-off merchants, but these guys are totally trustworthy - do not attempt to rip off and will always be our first choice for plumbing issues!

We have used ST Plumbing twice now to identify and repair leaking pipes. The team there have been really helpful and have suggested simple checks we could carry out, potentially enabling us to avoid the cost of a visit from them. All the staff we have dealt with have been absolutely brilliant. No fuss and extra messing, just a professional approach and excellent repairs. When things have required additional parts they have always stated when these could be sourced and arranged a return visit with us promptly. They have kept us update with any changes in circumstances and alsways ensured that temporary fixes are in place to minimise the effects of the leaks.

I have called upon S T Plumbing for many jobs from plumbing repairs to gas boiler and gas fire servicing and the latest was a project to remove the old bathroom, bathroom tiles and fittings and replace with a complete new bathroom fittings including wall cladding. Excellent job. The work completed by S T Plumbing was superb and the bathroom looks really well. The engineers were left to deal with this totally unsupervised by anyone from my family. They just got on with it and completed it with absolutely no fuss or issues. I would always recommend them, not only for their capabilities, finishing and trust, but they also completed it at a fair cost too. I would not hesitate to use them again on any possible project.

We’ve had a problem with one of the toilets for some time and had a few people have a look at it. It’s tricky to get to the soil pipe outside so I’m sure plenty would have passed on the job, but Dan found a novel way to get to the problem and finally sorted it for us. Delighted.

I have used STP on multiple occasions, to install radiators, fit a drinking water font and drain (which required new plumbing), and correct an irrational, substandard, leaking mess under a kitchen sink. The workmanship is high, with the most recent work not just fixing multiple issues highlighted, but done in such a way as to ensure maintenance in future will be a lot easier. When a supplier delivered a radiator that had been damaged in transit, STP worked with us to get the issue resolved. I can trust STP to be responsive, communicative, and diligent.

My boiler was overheating, and when I contacted Claire sorted out a visit quickly, and the service was efficient. When the problem reoccurred, Daniel looked into the problem, got in touch with the company, and sorted the issue effectively. Service was well within budget and dealt with quickly. I have used this company before and always had good service with a quality outcome. They worked around my availability and went above and beyond, being very trustworthy.

Daniel thoroughly serviced the gas fire. He dismantled and cleaned thoroughly the constituent parts, carried out a smoke test, and inspected the flue in the loft. Completely thorough job.
