Our Valliant boiler packed up in the early hours of Saturday morning leaving us no hot water or heating. Calls to my 'Home Emergency' insurer left me less than impressed as after 2h they hadn't found someone to come and Valliant's service line confirmed it was likely to be a main board failure but '"don't do emergencies" so couldn't help til Tuesday. Having found a local stockist for the part I contacted several boiler repairers but none were willing to do a main board change that day most citing unavailability of spares, despite me having found a stockist (though to be fair one would have done it on Sunday). Mark however, despite being on a job elsewhere, agreed to fit me in, was happy to fit my own part, and advised me to get the board so that it was here when he arrived. He kept me advised by text of his progress and turned up pretty much when he said he would, confirmed the main board fault and within the hour had it up and running again. He also advised on a couple of issues with my installation and suggested things to improve the long term reliability. Mark is a friendly and personable guy who clearly knows his stuff and 'does things properly'. Given it was a weekend emergency call-out his prices were similar to, or better than, others quoted. I shall be using him again to follow up on his recommendations. .
