Seaham Bathrooms and Kitchens

My bungalow had a separate old-style bathroom & toilet. Mark & his team combined them into one to make a great new wet room for me. I am in my 70s & had a heart bypass in July 2024 so Mark took that into account by doing a few adaptations for me eg. putting in a disabled shower chair. All work was done to the agreed schedule & budget with Mark working late at times to get the job done. I am extremely happy with the result - so much so that Mark & his team are currently building me a brand-new kitchen! I highly recommend Seaham Bathrooms & Kitchens.

Unfortunately I had not known of this Company prior to my recently having my bathroom changed into a wet room suited to meet my needs as a disabled person. Once the work was completed, my concern was it had become a smaller room than when it was a bathroom. I had no idea this would happen. The builder then began to blind me with science, giving explanations I did not understand. Mark agreed to visit my home to assess the situation. He gave reasons why the room was smaller and offered suggestions as to future steps I might wish to take if I was to continue with an official complaint. I found Mark to be extremely knowledgeable in the field of bathroom fitting He was very professional when both answering my questions and giving me advice. I was grateful too that, as a very busy person, he kindly carried out this assessment for me, an issue that is not a usual part of his daily remit. I have read the Reviews written by others and only wish Mark and his Company had been known to me before I paid out £9000+ which resulted in having my bathroom made into a smaller wet room. Definitely a Recommended person / Company

Our bathroom was recent fitted by MT design Seham kitchens and bathrooms. Mark was very helpful from start to finish. He supported us with with picking our bathroom and accessories. All questions were answered on time and things explained very well. He was very friendly and did a brilliant job. Thank you for such a wonderful job!

Mark and Paul are punctual, pleasant, polite and professional highly skilled workers who use only top quality materials, both from the amazing preparation, to all fixtures and fittings. They overcame all challenges my wonky house threw at them and delivered a truly outstanding end product. Disruption was absolutely minimal and I was totally at ease having them in my home. They always left the place clean and tidy and when finished, you couldn't tell they had been. We are so thrilled with our new bathroom, and I cannot recommend this firm highly enough! We initially engaged Mark to install an accessible bathroom with a low shower tray, but a few days after he started, our needs unfortunately changed and it became clear that an accessible wetroom would be required instead. Despite inconvenience re his work schedule and goods already ordered, Mark was reassuring and sympathetic: he efficiently changed tack - guiding us through requirements to ensure it would be safely disabled-friendly. The additional costings were fully explained and very fair: progress was discussed on a daily basis. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about requirements for both wetroom and disability needs, was prompt, meticulous in preparation and carrying out all aspects of the work - and was exceptionally tidy. We are totally delighted with the end result - and have already arranged for Mark to replace a shower and toilet elsewhere in the house. Mark Harrison completed a replacement bathroom for my Mother under difficult circumstances as she was in and out of the hospital. First of all the bathroom is first class, a wet room replaced a worn-out bathroom. Everything Mark said he would do he has. Secondly, his patience with my Mother to the extent of making her tea, putting her socks on and dealing with a problem in her conservatory that had nothing to do with him, were all symptomatic of his helpful nature. Thirdly he had additional issues with the quality of the flooring which were unseen. He dealt with them without any fuss. I would recommend Mark unreservedly and only wish I had found him earlier.

I have waited a while to write this review, and I am glad I did as the work carried out has been faultless. Mark has been back once for a minor issue with taps, he came out the same day and sorted the problem. Prior to the fitting we had a lot of help and support choosing the right products and this advice continued during the fitting. helping us to understand and maintain the bathroom and which products to use and which to stay a way from. (even cleaning products) We had a bad experience with the previous company and Mark had to sort out a lot of problems with plumbing. It wasn't just the quality of the work though, it was also the respect shown to our house. Everything was clean and tidy each day and there were no hidden extras in the price. His attention to detail was second to none and the finished bathroom was excellent. Mark was a great person and a real quality tradesman. By far the best company and quality of work we have ever used, I would strongly recommend Seaham Bathrooms and Kitchens
