Simon are our go-to plumbers here in Spalding. My request for a new tap to be fitted was undertaken at the first opportunity, but the second part of the job - to fix a leak in the en-suite shower - needed a second pair of hands so they returned in the afternoon and completed the job very promptly. Could not have been better.

This was the second time I had called Simon Barker Services to complete a plumbing-related task in my home. The first project was to adapt an en-suite and main bathroom to meet the needs of my wife, who had Alzheimer's. This last task was a simple leaking tap, which required a replacement tap. On both occasions, the service was exactly the same. They visited to assess the task and delivered exactly as planned, in terms of the time frame to complete the task. The professionalism of all who attended for both tasks was of an extremely high standard. On the last job, an extremely polite young man called Hayden arrived at my home and provided an excellent example of what good customer service should be. Even though I said he could leave his boots on as he was coming through the door, as the tap was in the kitchen. He still took them off, a simple but respectful gesture which I really appreciated. He was efficient, friendly, and thoroughly professional whilst completing the task. There was no need to clear up after him, as you do with some tradespeople! His positive attitude, politeness, and competence left a distinctly optimistic impression on me. Not something I often feel after some of the interactions I have had with other businesses. I would definitely recommend Simon Barker Services for any future jobs in my home and for my friends. You may be able to get a cheaper quote elsewhere, but would you be able to get the same quality of service that they deliver? Probably not.

I could not rate their service higher. They responded so quickly to our plumbing emergency. They were polite and we were always reassured with the competence and quality of their work from our first call to the office to the plumber finishing his work.

The engineer was a little delayed in getting to us for the annual boiler service. He phoned to let us know and arrived early for his new ETA. He was polite and just got on with the job without fuss, or disturbance to us. Job done, we were told all was well and the engineer departed with a cheerful smile. The invoice arrived promptly in the post as promised - I would have preferred an e-invoice. We've used SBPH before and will be using them again!

I consider myself a regular customer of SBP&H and have never had any complaint with their service. I would like to thank Bradley and his team for the faultless completion of my lovely new kitchen The workmanship was first class especially the tiling on the walls and the beautifully crafted worktops. I had a leak where mains water comes in, under the sink. They re-tightened and re-sealed and cleaned up the water under the cupboard. Then triple checked all was well with the seals before leaving. Very polite and professional and reassuring as I'm 75rs old and on my own.

From start to finish they were prompt, courteous and extremely efficient. Quote was received within 24 hours of initial visit and new boiler installed at our convenience under two weeks later. The installation team were very respectful of both us and our property, always protects the carpets and left everything very clean and tidy. They worked diligently and completed the job in the advised time frame. Would highly recommend.

What a fantastic and efficient service from start to finish! I urgently required my main bathroom and ensuite to have modifications made at short notice to allow them to be fit-for-purpose; to enable me to continue to care for my wife at home. My main priority was to have a new bath to accommodate a bath chair and make both floors easy to clean and slip resistant to reduce chances of slips and falls. This required a new toilet and sink in the ensuite so that they fitted up to the back wall and accidents can be cleaned up with ease. To enable all this work to be done, I had to put my wife into a care home and this limited the time frame for the work to be carried out. This did not prove to be a problem as extra manpower was allocated to enable a normal 5-day job to be completed in 4-days. I found Harry and his team extremely professional, courteous and friendly who clearly respected my property and belongings throughout the process. They did their level best to minimise dust spreading outside of the work areas and constantly cleaned up after themselves. They were also there first thing in the morning ready to start work and did not stop until the end of the working day. The majority of the work was completed within the 4-days to enable my wife to come home, with just a little bit of finishing touches completed on the 5th day. I am so very happy with the finished product that is practical for our circumstances without looking like a NHS wetroom! Thank you very much

I contacted Barkers as one of my tenanted properties had an issue with the boiler. They attended the following day to view the issue and completed the repair two days later. Both myself and the tenant were happy with the timescale and were kept informed throughout the process. Excellent service provided and I will definitely use again.

Removed old boiler and left premises tidy. Plumbers worked well. Work completed in accordance with quote. Will use again when service required.

We had a boiler serviced by this company and during the procedure, the engineer accidentally knocked the oil feed so the central heating would never have come on. After completing the work the engineer did NOT test to see if the heating was working, had he done so he would have realised his mistake and would have been quickly able to rectify the error. He failed to do that and left. When we came home to a cold house on a bitterly cold November day we tried to turn the heating on and it would not work. We immediately rang the company and left a message on their answerphone that we had no heating and could someone contact us urgently. We received no response and were left without hot water and heating from Friday until Monday when someone did turn up and quickly fixed the problem and was in and out in less than 5 minutes and told us what had happened. My husband has a heart condition, is a diabetic and is on the vulnerable list with all utilities but that was ignored by Simon Barker. We emailed AND posted a letter but were again ignored, we received no apology but just an invoice looking for immediate payment! Mistakes happen, we have no issue it was made in the first place but the system was never checked to see if it was working and that is unacceptable. They left two pensioners, one with serious health issues without heat and hot water for 3 days during a particularly cold period, shame on them. We would NOT recommend Simon Barker to our worst enemy!

The 2 man team were great, quick, tidy and polite. Super job (replace shower pump). Always removed boots in the house. Came in under estimate too! Also took away all waste and old parts. Would recommend them any time.

After phoning various local plumbers and promises made but never delivered we phoned Simon Barker. An appointment was made to visit us. Bradley arrived on time and measured up and made us aware of issues no other company had. He told us he could source the sink and taps for us and then arrange fitting. True to his word this was done , quote agreed and sink fitted yesterday. Fitting was done efficiently and professionally, all rubbish removed and kitchen left clean. We will certainly use Simon Barker again. So relieved to find a reliable company.

Very pleased with our experience using Simon Barker Services for the plumbing work carried out in our cloakroom and kitchen. Great customer service from first contact, to the on site visit, receiving the quote and having the work carried out. The fitter who came on the date and time as arranged carried out the work without fuss, cleaned up and even took the rubbish away - thanks Hayden. My old boiler broke down, and a call to Simon Barker Plumbing and Heating, prompted a quick response, and the workmen arrived exactly as promised, and carried the installation of a new boiler with efficiency and skill. The complete installation was carried out speedily and I am well pleased with the result. I recommend them.

My oil boiler locked out so had no heating or water. It happened suddenly with no warning. Pressed the override button which started it again, but it locked out again after a couple of hours. Repeated the process several times, but had the same problem. I called Simon Barker Services Ltd in the morning and the phone was answered very quickly. I explained the problem, and was reassured that they would get back to me as quickly as possible to let me know when an engineer would be able to come. I received a text message within 15 minutes to inform me that Simon would be with me that afternoon. Simon checked the boiler thoroughly and explained everything to me. It was difficult to diagnose an intermittent fault, so Simon adopted a process of elimination fitting a part that was most likely the culprit. He did explain that two other parts may also be causing the problem. Sadly the boiler locked out again after 6 hours. I phoned the following morning and Simon returned a short while later that day with the other parts. The boiler is now working fine. I was very impressed by the excellent and polite customer service, prompt action and the respect to my home. The failed parts were left with me to be examined by an engineer. They certainly were broken! I have no problem in recommending this family run company to others.

Had a new boiler fitted to replace my very old one. Jake and Callum arrived on time both days and were very pleasant. They made sure I could access hot water and heating whilst my boiler was out of commission. They did an excellent job, explained things and made sure everything was neat and tidy when they left. No hesitation in recommending them.

I have used Simon Barker Services Ltd 3 times. This time was to replace a very old oil boiler and cylinder to a combi boiler. As usual the Service was first class. I wish that there were more companies like this. The customer service is the best around, the whole team are professional polite knowledgeable friendly helpful and clean tidy workers. Our combi boiler was replaced over two days recently. Bradley spent some considerable time with us discussing what was required and how this would affect us. We also had some concerns regarding the existing boiler and how it had been set up which he said could be resolved. On the day, Jake and Shaun arrived promptly and set to work. As predicted, they ended the first day at 4.30pm. We knew that we would be without heating and hot water overnight but the electric heaters which they left with us kept us warm. They arrived promptly on day 2 and by 4.30 that afternoon the new boiler was up and running. It was clear they had gone to considerable trouble to resolve the concerns we had with the previous boiler and we are absolutely delighted with the finished result.
