I can't talk highly enough about Steve. He came recommenced from people who live close by. The job was to fix a hard to get at flat roof that had fallen through and to essentially make something work that hadn't worked properly since it had been constructed years back. It was a really tricky job as the roof was penned at three sides. Steve is great, no fuss and brilliant at his job. He's conscientious, honest and and does everything to a high standard. He also very nice to have around. I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Steve.

We lost a few tiles that cracked and slipped. SJT lived up to the feedback from others on here and came around to provide a quote within a couple of days and scheduled the work within a couple of weeks. The work was done thoroughly and with explanations of what was required. Good communication throughout. Will definitely use SJT again if we need more roofing or guttering work. Thank you.

We've had a few roof leaks in recent years, and it's been hard to find a reliable and knowledgeable roofer to sort things out. Steve ticked both these boxes - he was able to identify the problem when others couldn't, fixed it promptly and to a high standard, and explained everything he did along the way. A nice guy, too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others.

SJT Roofing have worked on my roof and gutters several times over the past 6 years, and each time I’ve been delighted with the outcome. Not only does Steve do a really good job in respect of the problem he’s sorting, but if he spots any other problems I wasn’t aware of, he also corrects those without increasing the price. And he cleans up afterwards - even leaving my side path cleaner than it was before he started the work! He’s also a very pleasant and considerate person to have around.

We asked Steve to investigate water ingress in an upper gable in our 1905 house. Steve identified the likely causes of the water ingress and dealt with them. He also pointed out that our rough cast required further attention and explained why. Last but not least he mortared in a couple of loose bricks in our front garden wall and repaired our wooden fence. Excellent service from beginning to end.

Decided to get Steve to back to replace our flat roof since he had done such an effective job on the gully. All went to plan and as before Steve provided excellent service. I would highly recommend.

From the first contact, Steve was helpful, informative, and reliable. I found him here on Which?, contacting him through WhatsApp at 7.30 a.m. and had received a response within half-an-hour. Steve arrived when he said he would, quoted accurately, and was able to schedule necessary work on a fair and reasonable schedule. He identified all the issues with my roof, which I had already spotted, explained others that his more expert eye could see, and detailed what was needed in a comprehensible and open way. The work itself - replacing broken tiles, installing rainwater pipes, gutters, and fascia boards, and repairing metal pipe covers - was completed to a very high standard. What set Steve apart was his sky-high customer service. He completed the work whilst I was on holiday, sending me photos to keep me updated. When I returned, he came round to explain all the work he’d done. I’d already paid the invoice, so this was excellent service. He also detailed several small additional jobs he’d undertaken on the project whilst completing the initial works, but told me there was no charge. When I asked for a future prognosis on my roof, Steve talked me through details in a straightforward and accessible manner. He is a warm and pleasant man who never patronised me. I cannot recommend Steve more highly than to say that he has restored my faith in tradespeople. I will be calling him for any roof repairs in the future and will be recommending him to anyone who needs a roofer.

Stephen has done work on my roof and gutters for several years. This time, a piece of gutter in a tricky high corner had come adrift and needed replacing. Stephen came last week to inspect, told me what was needed and the cost of the work, and returned yesterday to do it. His work is uniformly excellent - this time as always previously, and he is a real gentleman. I wouldn't dream of using anyone else.

Steve responds very promptly to callouts and turns up at the appointed time. He has cleared and repaired guttering and done other roof repairs in the past. He is very experienced and is very good at working out what the problem is and his work is thorough, well explained and well documented. He is also very trustworthy and I have had roof work done by him while I was away and he was excellent at keeping me updated on progress
