Soly were great from the moment I rang for a quote, never pushy and very knowledgeable and honest. I called then on several occasions with questions to do with solar and the best options for my install. Zak was unbelievably helpful and always returned my calls if he was unavailable. I went for 16 panels, an inverter and a battery. The fitters/installers arrived in time talked me through what they were planning on doing and checked I was happy before starting work. The whole job was done in half a day and they cleaned up as they worked, leaving my house as if no one has been working there. Once completed, they talked me through all the work and showed me pictures of everything they had done and explained how to use the solar app to control and monitor the system. Best of all the system is working better than I ever expected and will pay for itself much sooner than the time scale Zak quoted which in my mind proves that Zak and Soly are not just pushy salesmen, they do try to make sure you get the right system to suit your property and needs.

We bought a £4000 battery package from SOLY thinking we were being guided by professionals who knew what they were talking about…..how very wrong we were. Turns out the FOX ESS modular system is great but we needed to purchase more 2.88kwh slaves to meet our requirements. If you are buying a battery make sure you check out your daily usage thoroughly. Don’t do what we did and take the advice given by SOLY. You will end up with a battery that doesn’t have enough capacity based on their recommendations. Also SOLY said the extra 2.88kwh Slaves were £850 each. They might be but they don’t tell you it will cost a total of £1685 to transport and fit one unit.Factor this one in. On the day, the installers did a “dump and run” because they had another job to attend to. We were only briefed on how to charge up the battery and that turned out to be wrong when we began to learn more about the system by asking the SOLY team. In summary a less than brilliant experience. Do your homework and get accurate usage information from your provider. SOLY are not the experts here and won’t be able to advise you accurately.

The work on the installation was completed more or less to plan. However the post installation service is appalling. We had a fault with the inverter. It took them y weeks to get out. There were many examples of poor communication. Prior to install you could not get them of the phone, post install the are very difficult to pin down. We are still having issues with inverter with regular examples of the system tripping and shutting down. Again they are proving very difficult to get out to repair. My advise would be to think very carefully about using Soly.

Telephone conversations with Soly rep George Joslin was very good as he was very experienced and knowledgeable about the products. He offered a market-leading competitive price for the equipment and the installation of 14 roof panels and a 10 kW battery was arranged. The fitters were subcontracted and did a great job. The system took several weeks to be approved with Octopus for exporting power, but has worked well since. I would use Soly again and recommend them

Got a few quotes for the installation of a 10.36 kWh battery and inverter for my already existing solar panel system from different companies for the same product and Soly was by far the most affordable. It was a seamless journey from the day I called them for my quote till my installation was complete. All procedures were communicated to me in good time. Installation was great, Tom included me in all decisions made in the process and he gave me a thorough handover of how my system works and he has supported with aftercare communication when I had issues with how the system App works.

Having had a bad experience with Octopus over a solar install for my house after 7 months of procrastination and Poor communication I cancelled and went to find another installer. I found Soly. What a difference! From the first phone call with Grant ( who was very knowledgeable and super helpful) I was informed, given options, all explained very well and the whole process from design( Grant) to technical brief, DNO application and Install went unbelievably smoothly and well with no hiccups. And all within 7 weeks! I now have lots of lovely panels churning out electricity to run my now eco house! Couldn’t be more delighted with them.

Installed solar system by Soly on 29/07/2024, was dealing with Grant, excellent service, i have a 4people family living in, energy supplier is Octopus, my monthly direct debit with Octopus was 220£ a month, after installation, it got down to 120£ and by looking now, i can see it will go down a bit more, as i have 6kw system installed with 5kwh battery, Octopus quoted me for weaker system 8600£, Grant did it for approx 7300£, biga saving there, my advice would be, if you have a bit more cash, get 10kwh battery,it will work perfectly, i am finding that 5kwh is not always enough, and have to purchase a bit from the grid, also did a bit of research about the manufacturer companies, as i was newbie to the solar, and thought the price difference may come from cheaper and not high quality manufacturers who make panels and inverters, to my surprise it was not the case, manufacturers are ones of the best on the market, another thank you to Grant and Soly!

Installation went smoothly on the days agreed & the contractors left it all tidy & explained how it works. There was an issue with the app not connecting which took a bit of time to fix but it works now.

14 Jinko Solar Panels, Enphase Micro Inverters and a 5Kwh Enphase 5P Battery installed. An 'On-Line' consultation with photos sent in advance with George to discuss what our aims and aspirations for Solar were. We discussed various options and ideas and settled on a system. Three days later a formal offer pack was provided. No sales pressure applied and we remained in contact whilst I sought other options with other providers. When we confirmed we were proceeding with Soly the formal acceptance pack and notifications were provided. After all elements were agreed and deposit paid it was time to wait on the DNO provider to agree the connection *(this took a while but was put of Solys hands). As soon as agreement from DNO was achieved Soly offered three dates for installation. I was sceptical about '1 day installation' however.. the day before the scaffolding arrived, on the appointed day Solys team arrived early, completed the installation quickly and tidily and handed the installation over that day. The team were a pleasure to have in/on our house and delivered a top class installation.

We had 16 solar panels and x2 5kw batteries fitted to our house. After much research and multiple quotes we found Soly to be a good price with the latest Solar technology. Leading up to the installation Soly communicated at every stage, the installation was carried out efficiently without any issues. I would have no hesitation recommending or using them again. Very efficient and professional company.

We contacted Soly along with a number of other companies about the installation of Solar panels for our house. From the very first contact we were very impressed with their knowledge of solar panels and the associated equipment (inverters, batteries etc.) required for our installation. After comparing the various systems offered by all companies we decided to choose the system that Soly had suggested. This system was based upon our decision to (possibly) expand the system in the future and their use of microinverters on each panel rather than one inverter for all panels. Their ability to access each panel therefore, and to monitor and update the system remotely (which they did in the two days after installation to ensure all our panels were working efficiently), was also a strong selling point. The whole process from initial contact to implementation was very smooth. Explanations of each stage (applications, certificates, paperwork to/from our power supplier) were very clear, and all completed by Soly. Timescales were drawn up and dates adhered to. Installation was completed within the day (12 roof mounted solar panels, battery, meters and connections) by a team of professionals who knew their stuff! They were prepared for every eventuality - two of our roof tiles broke during the installation process but they had brought replacement tiles with them. They were personable, communicated well, informing us of each step, they tidied all debris, and at the end of it all, set up our app to enable us to monitor our system. All in all, everything went according to plan and I would wholeheartedly recommend them anyone considering installation of solar panels.

Nine panel solar panel installation on rear main and flat roof also battery and control equipment. Quality service from initial consultation right through to installation on the roof. Explained the options for a solar panel installation and kept informed all stages before installation date . Made the whole experience of deciding to go for a solar panel installation as simple and straightforward as possible. No question was too much trouble to answer.
