I could not recommend this company more highly. Quick to pay an initial visit. Trevor was prompt friendly and full If ideas. This is what you want when you embark on an exciting and expensive addition to your home. Trevor returned with a portfolio in details of plans before any commitment on my part. We adjusted the price by making changes and I signed on the dotted line. Although the building started later than. Originally planned it was down to bad weather more than prioritising other grander extensions which can happen with other builders. They started work in early November. The builders were very hard working and charming and respectful and ‘got on with it’! Then the next team came in for the next session there were many site visits to check all was going well. I was very impressed by the speed the quality and the communication with me. Any small snagging was immediately addressed. I could NOT be happier with my extension and the whole experience was incredibly stress free. I think if you do not use this company for your extension you are missing a trick! I’m very happy with the quality of my new extension and it came in on budget. Many thanks to all at south coast home improvements.

I had a very positive experience with having 7 units replaced as they were blown and unattractive as well as inefficient . From the initial quote , to the survey of measurements to the installation was impeccable . Thank you all for your professional service .

We had windows fitted in March on a windy day. The were very messy and we had big blobs of orange insulation foam stuck to the frames, and on our wall and carpet. We have five sided bays and a round window so admittedly not the easiest of jobs, but it felt rushed with lots of different fitters all working at the same time and we had to have a lot of remedial work. The round window had a draught and daylight coming through between the frame and the wall. They responded well to our complaints at the time so, on the basis of better the devil you know, we had a new composite door in November and requested the best fitter. I didn't realise, but the door manufacturers, Hurst, have 3.6 star reviews for their doors with lots of complaints of warping in the sun. We get draughts around the edges, partly because it doesn't fit the frame very well and partly because the door has no inner lip to fit over the frame. After a few days we couldn't make the bolts work, so it had to be loosened off, making it more draughty, and with a little bit of sun today the bolts have started to get stiff again. We have also just realised the corners of the bays have white aluminium poles with no trim or insulation inside or out, so although the windows don't get much condensation, the poles do. When we asked for this to be remedied they said that's how it's supposed to be and they don't have any trim that would look nice on the corners.

An efficient service from beginning to end. The two fitters Roy, who did the bulk of the work, and Shane, who did the finishing off, were polite, helpful and hard working. We now have two very clear windows without a hint of condensation or leaks, which had previously been a constant problem. Our only disappointment was the thin black seals round the window panes which detract from the otherwise white frames. Overall, however, a vast improvement and I would recommend South Coast Home improvements without hesitation.

We have just had two sets of bi fold doors fitted. They replaced two large windows that had to be cut to floor level. The price was very good and from ordering to fitting was less than five weeks. Two surveyors, Andy and Tony visited to ensure that the measurements were correct and they were. Contact with the company was seamless, they have a great telephone answering system which made general enquiries straightforward. The team that fitted the doors, Simon and Ade, are excellent. They have a great eye for detail and were not happy until everything was fitting perfectly. I will happily recommend to friends

Had a new conservatory built, using the existing wall and half walls. The two main builders, father and son, Si and Ade did amazing work. The job was more complicated than had been planned especially where the conservatory met the roof. So they had to adapt and add when necessary. They made sure the end product looked smart and was watertight. They also cleared and cleaned up after themselves. They and other workers who came all worked extremely hard. They were polite, considerate and well mannered. And they have left us with a fabulous new room for dining and a craft studio. Thank you all.

They built my conservatory in 2014. There was a leak on the corner after the first rain after construction. I made a call to them. One came to have a look, put a bit of glue on it, and went away. Then it continued leaking. I made a call again, and another person came and did the same thing. It still continues leaking .... again and again. It's been like that over 12 times. Now there are 4 leaks in my conservatory. It's getting worse and worse, never stopped leaking for 8 years. Bad quality.

Take down old wooden conservatory and replace with new upvc. Extremely pleased with all aspect from quality of material to the workmanship of installation. Although the final probably finished job looks pretty good and the guys were enthusiastic and sociable, the lack of attention to detail, and rather wobbly communications with us and each other meant the job was very intermittently executed over quite a long period, we were unsure when we needed to stay home, and final proper cleanup and post-installation check that we were happy has not happened.

My existing uPVC windows were 21 years old and needed replacing. Searched a number of companies reading the reviews and decided this was the one for me. No regrets at all. Local long established company with mostly very good reviews (I am able to separate off the odd negative one after reading company responses giving their side of issues). Always give a company a chance to sort things before reviewing! Minor hiccup in installation date (delayed by 3 days). Apart from that everything went as planned. Installers arrived and worked well together, and a few hours later I had my new windows installed with minimal fuss and no need for any redecoration. I was a little wary with window surrounds being fully tiled in two rooms but I needn't have been. They cleaned up very well afterwards and advised that two of the sealed units would need replacing due to defects. These were duly replaced a few days later and he attended to a few minor 'snags' with a follow up visit to sort a couple of minor issues. Have no hesitation in recommending this company due to sensible pricing, efficient and careful workers and timely responses to minor issues that came to light after installation. Well done to all!

We are very happy with the new windows. The three lads' workmanship was first class. They arrived on time, worked hard and left the house clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to meet such able and polite workmen. Well done Alex, Kyle & Brendon.

I have just had a wall and french doors taken out and bifold doors put in between my lounge and conservatory and it has transformed my bungalow. The work was carried out very professionally by all the fitters, builders and plasterer. The doors are beautiful and they left the site very clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.

We had two front windows, a front door and porch replaced. Porch still leaks, no one ever came back to fix. Workmanship was awful, damage to our walls and windows were missing the air vents I’d asked for. Coffee was even spilt on our wall inside our home and not even cleaned. Front door didn’t fit, glue pot and nails left all over our front drive for children to find. Quite disgusted at how unprofessional this company is. They should be avoided at all costs.

Terrible workmanship. A 3 day job ended up taking 6 weeks. Porch leaked like a sieve and was built wonky to start with and had to be taken out and rebuilt twice! Still leaked! Steps they built are still not right. Have to pay another company to come and put it all right. Would certainly not recommend at all. No apology at any time. Just excuse after excuse. Have had to threaten court action to get anywhere with them, but their customer service is non existent. How they have any customers is a mystery! Avoid!

What a wonderful job - 15 new windows have improved our home immeasurably, in looks, insulation and sound-proofing. Great attention to detail before, during and after the work was carried out. Workmanship was superb, and the installers clearly highly-skilled, dedicated, courteous and timely. On time and on budget. And when there were a few problems with some old bricks, they had brickies on site within the hour, so no delay or hold-ups. Very happy indeed with everything they have done. Thoroughly recommended.

They took on a job which other firms said could not be done. Once quoted for the work and a date agreed all went as planed. Turned up on time got on with the job and completed as arranged. Always informative and helpful. If you want a job done professonaly don't look any further.
