This was the third time I've used South London Heating, this time to replace old radiators and add a towel rail. The work needed was assessed and I received an itemised estimate and time frame which I accepted. The office staff were friendly and accommodating. The engineer arrived on time, worked really hard and the job was completed within a day. He left the rooms tidy and as he had found them and was helpful with the questions I asked. I've had no problems with the previous work they've done for me and would recommend them to anyone.

The South London team installed a new boiler, smart thermostat and 5 radiator valves for me. They did a great job and tidied up perfectly afterward. But that's not all--what stood out even more was the value (price equal or slightly than other providers) and tremendous service leading up to the work, from several different members of the team. First, several other suppliers never even responded to my request for quotes. Second, I had a lot of questions about which boiler to purchase, which they always answered promptly and clearly; and they were very flexible arranging and rearranging service dates to accommodate my tricky work schedule. Finally, they never went for a tough sell, they won my business by being knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them.

The SLH engineer phoned to ask if we minded him arriving earlier than booked for a routine boiler service - of course we didn't! He was very polite, worked quickly and quietly and gave us some useful advice about our heating system. SLH email us a reminder every year, and we appreciate the service.

I found South London Heating on the approved list of engineers for Ideal Heating boilers, and was pleased to find them featured on Which? Trusted Traders as well, even more so as they had such good reviews. Our experience was just as positive as everyone else's in here. We only needed their help for an annual boiler check and everything went very smoothly. It was easy to book, easy to pay online and the engineer was very courteous and patient with all of my questions. Our condense pipe was leaking and he fixed this as part of the annual service, no extra fees, plus he made a lot of very helpful recommendations. Recommended and will definitely use them again next year.

John arrived at the time stated, a very pleasant and courteous man. I had no hot water and had assumed the problem to be with the boiler. After taking a look at the boiler John asked to look in the airing cupboard and discovered the problem there, a valve which was no longer working. He soon repaired it by replacing the small motor, one of which he had in his van. He was able to reassure me that everything now seemed fine with the system and explained what had gone wrong, showing me the old motor which had failed. I found John to be both professional and approachable both in his work and in answering fully my several questions. Any future heating or boiler problems I would be happy to trust to him. Being blind, I needed to talk to someone in person about a new boiler. Mark attended our property and advised me on what my best choice would be for a blind person. This was duly installed by two of his engineers who removed the old boiler and installed the new one in just over three hours. They explained everything that they were doing and were very courteous. Left the property in a neat and tidy condition after the installation. Mark, the MD, revisited the property to see if I had any questions on operating the new boiler, ran me through all the controls and told me if I had any problems with the operating of it to contact him and he would come out and go through it again, it was all part of the service. Thoroughly professional set up and an excellent job. Would thoroughly recommend them to anybody who had heating problems.

I recently required a new boiler to be urgently installed in a rented property. I contacted South London Heating who were able to survey the property same day and provide two quotes and a verbal explanation of what was required. The boiler that I chose was then installed within 48-hrs which pleased my tenant. The install was completed in one day with minimal disruption and on inspection the work had been done in a very neat and tidy fashion I would have concerns with recommending South London Heating to a friend.

Mending our heating system

We called South London Heating because our central heating system wasn't working properly and the heating was periodically going off. They came very quickly to examine it and were very thorough. They found a problem which they rectified at once. However, as we expected there was a problem with the thermostat system... the oldest part ... which was malfunctioning. They found a solution very quickly, a replacement that was relatively easy to install and did not require any extra work. As a result, we have a perfectly functioning system at a reasonable cost. I would recommend them to anyone. The staff respond quickly, are pleasant to work with and very helpful.

South London Heating replaced my early 1960s gas warm air heating system in an empty investment property with a 21st century combi boiler with radiators. I was impressed from the very beginning by their quality customer service provided by the office staff (Elin) and the reassuring information they (Mark) readily provided at on site meetings and willingness to answer questions. The work was undertaken speedily by Kevin & Gus who were tidy, well organised and neat. The fitters engaged readily with me and were most obliging even sorting a minor problem which I had caused. Kevin ands Gus completed the work in a shorter period of time than expected(!) and removed all the rubbish I will recommend South London Heating to neighbour members of the Whatsap Group in my building where the flat is located and will certainly use South London Heating to replace the boiler in my own home later this year recommending SLH to other neighbours

I was extremely pleased with the boiler service from South London Heating Ltd. From the moment I enquired about a boiler service with them, to the completed job, the whole experience was professional, friendly and thorough. I didn't feel pressurised into using the company and they were happy to answer all my queries. On the day of the service, the service engineer arrived on time and was professional, courteous and friendly. He was also proactive in cleaning the system filter and kind enough to offer advice on thermostats, balancing the radiators and other issues while checking all the radiators. Well done!

We had a new boiler fitted together with an update of existing radiators. From start to finish this company more than delivered, the quote for the work was very competitive and the customer service brilliant. The work was completed to schedule with engineers being very professional, they tidied up at the end of each day and the standard of work was exceptional. The work is fully guaranteed and we now have a very efficient heating system. All staff were polite, efficient and professional, the guarantee of the work is great with the boiler having a 10 year guarantee, all paper work undertaken by the company. Use this company they stand out as their prices are fair and they do exactly what they say they will do to a very high standard.

I called the company about a problem with the hot water system in my flat and from the first phone call (answered in a couple of rings by a real person by the way!) nothing was too much trouble. They had a plumber inspect the system the next day, sent a written reasonable quote the same day and fitted the replacement parts a week later. Kerri in customer services is very helpful and efficient and even paying is easy with an online link.. What’s not to like? I will definitely be using them again.

New boiler with some issues all resolved now

I had a new Worcester-Bosch Greenstar 8000 Life boiler fitted with EasyControl that works with WiFi connection and can be controlled from a mobile phone. A total of three visits were needed to complete the installation successfully. The WiFi control key wasn't working due to a subtle wiring issue - more due to lack of familiarity with the new boiler. Having had some very disappointing experiences with two other companies which left us with still unresolved issues, we decided to try South London Heating whose office is quite close by. From my first contact with them, I felt a lot more confident than I had with the others. The office staff are helpful and pleasant and responded effectively. We had someone to examine our central heating system very quickly and a solution of the change of the boiler was suggested. This work was organised and completed within the timetable set and the results have been even better than expected. Paul, the engineer who carried out the work, was very efficient and tidy, clearing up after completing the work. South London Heating were responsive when I first asked for a quote for the work I needed carried out, and Mark was very helpful in making suggestions for what was not a straight forward job of disconnecting my heating from the current boiler (in another flat) and installing a new boiler in my own flat. The team who carried out the work were professional and kept me up to date with progress, and dealt with the neighbours well. The work was completed with minimal disruption and mess, and they even brought in an extra person to get the job completed a day earlier than expected. Mark sent an engineer out to us, free of charge, on a Saturday morning within 30 mins of me calling him in desperation. British Gas had cut a pipe after suspecting a minor leak - and the boiler manufacturer was unable to repair the leak without the pipe being reconnected (something the manufacturer is not able to do). Fortunately Mark sent out his engineer Mark, and they reconnected the pipe, all free of charge. Excellent customer service!

The Director came and quoted on a new boiler (my old one was definitely on last legs and a few days later packed up completely). He explained everything clearly to me and didn't try to upsell - listening when I said I would prefer a mechanical timer and didn't need it to fit in a cupboard. It was a bit above other quotes but I was reassured that they would do a good job fitting it - in the end they did an excellent job! They also moved around their bookings to accommodate an emergency fitting as my boiler packed up and I have young children. Highly recommended.

This is an outstanding team at all levels and with excellent time management. My 42 year old boiler had given up and we were also without hot water during the coldest days on record. Mark 'flooded' the house with a highly-skilled professional team who worked diligently to install our new system with the minimum of disruption. They cleared up beautifully at the end of each day - important when your'e living through it. The pipework in the utility room looks like a work of art so I shall not be boxing it in! South London Heating replaced my ageing immersion heater with a new combi boiler, after another company I had hired, AC Wilgar, let me down. From the start, SL Heating was fantastic. No matter who I dealt with, I received prompt, personal attention. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable and after meeting Mark Gallagher, I was confident I was in good hands. The job presented several unique complications, however, the team at South London heating were able to work with me to overcome these, and were able to install the new boiler and pipework, much quicker than the time given by their competitors. Throughout the installation, the engineers were professional and considerate. They worked very neatly and left no mess at all afterward. They arrived on time and worked tirelessly the entire day. I hadn't heard of South London Heating until I found them on Which Trusted Traders while looking for comparative quotes for a new boiler. Their quote was clear, detailed and reasonable - and as Bosch accredited installers they could offer an 8 year guarantee. So I booked them. And I'm glad I did. Their engineer was punctual and polite. The whole team were polite, pleasant and professional, plus the price was around £300 cheaper than the next cheapest. The installation if the boiler commenced the day after the survey visit. Paul saved me some money by eliminating the need for a condensate pump by linking the condensate pump pipe to an external pipe. They worked well together, processes were explained and Jack gave me additional advice on how to reduce energy usage, as well as going through the control menu. Mark with his team of Paul and Ryan, did a great job installing my new boiler, putting new tanks in the loft and a new hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard. Mark's design worked well for a mid-terrace house with limited outside wall space, utilising the existing airing cupboard and taking the flue up into the loft and out through the roof. British Gas had been unable to suggest anything when they came so Mark's "can do" problem solving approach was much appreciated. The work was carried out with smooth efficiency and a change I wanted during the job was accommodated with good humour. They were a delightful firm to work with, thoroughly professional, who I would recommend without hesitation. The price quoted was also extremely competitive.

We had new electrical consumer units installed (2) which resulted in the boiler tripping them when it fired up. The electrician could not cure the fault so we contacted SLH who had originally installed the boiler. SLH saw us the next day and promptly found and cleared the fault. Courteous as ever, this company is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Mark was a great help. An old boiler had finally failed a day before we were to move in to our new house. Mark came out within 24 hours of us contacting him and was able to fit a new boiler - re-siting it as requested in the process - within the next 48 hours. He talked us through our options and, I believe, was objective and unbiased. He was perfectly courteous and punctual. When we had concerned about a couple of our radiators (because of work by someone else), Mark quickly looked into and fixed the small issue at no extra charge. I recommend him without hesitation.

Found South London Heating Ltd details from the Worchester Bosch accredited installers webpage as my usual gas engineer was retiring and my trusty Alpha boiler was on its last legs. Mark and his engineer Luke who did my installation cannot be faulted. They arrived on time were pleasant and polite and clean. Good staff make a great company and I am sure Mark appreciates his. Mark provided the information I needed to decide quickly and with no pressure. I have a building construction background and would definitely recommend them to work on my projects. Mark visited within an hour of my phoning him. He explained the work that would be involved, how long it should take and gave me a verbal quote followed by a written one later that day. He managed to schedule the job in very quickly and arrived promptly on the date with his engineer, John. The old boiler and two radiators were removed with very little mess or disturbance. The new boiler and replacement radiators were efficiently installed and are proving very satisfactory. Mark also explained how the system worked. I highly recommend Mark and his company and will definitely use them again.

I originally wasted a lot of time getting a quote from British Gas. They send round a salesman who not only takes for ever to do the quote but over time I realised didn't really have the technical knowledge to provide a reliable quote. South London Heating provided a quote in hardly no time and carried out the work on time and to specifications. They are also considerably cheaper than British Gas. So I am more than happy to recommend them.

Mark installed our new boiler professionally about 3 years ago. Since then it he has serviced the boiler annually and I must say, it is running like clockwork. We recently detected a leak at one of the living room radiators and called Mark for help. He made time in his very busy schedule to come round very quickly to fix this problem. He is the best heating engineer we had in more than a decade. He is the reason why we would never consider going back to a British Gas maintenance contract.

I used South London Heating after the previous plumber I contacted failed to show up. Mark arrived promptly and quoted to remove a radiator and install another on the opposite wall. It was a fiddle to do due to hidden plastic piping but they did an excellent job. They concealed all the piping and did the work quickly with minimal disruption. I wouldn't hesitate to use S.L Heating again and can thoroughly recommend them.

South London Heating were amazing! My boiler kept running over pressure and leaking out the PRV outlet pipe. It was freezing and we had no hot water. The engineer came round within 2hrs of phoning them, re-pressurised the expansion vessel and got the boiler working again. Jack, the engineer was very friendly, professional and trustworthy. Previously that day, I had another engineer come round who said the expansion vessel and the PRV needed replacing and quoted me £350 for the work. Good thing I got a second opinion, eh! ... thanks SLH, you're a life saver :-)

We wanted an old boiler + tanks replaced with a Worcester combi. Mark and his team were fantastic from start to finish and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Mark came to quote on New Year's Eve; the quote was detailed, but clear and he continued to answer our questions within 24hrs (even over the festive period). We were very happy with the price and his team (mainly Luke) came in and delivered a fantastic job, all completed in 2 days (on Jan 5th). Workmanship is top notch and the place is spotless. I would highly recommend Mark and SLH. He recently undertook a very costly and complicated installation of a new boiler, cylinder and all manner of extra equipment needed to tie into my old underfloor heating system. Other engineers had turned their nose up at the job or over quoted. Mark was reasonably priced and reasonable about areas where he would need advice from the UFH manufacturers. There was no bs. Once he had quoted any extras were authorised and agreed by me in advance. He and his team worked hard and quickly to overcome a number of problems during a week long installation. They were polite, friendly, on-time and kept things clean at the house. The system they installed seems to be working very well. So money well spent. Mark has always been quick to come back when there have been minor issues or if I have questions. Its no surprise he's the Which trusted trader of the year.

Mark Gallagher installed a new boiler in my flat in Deptford. It is a glorified storage facility absolutely filled with stuff very little room to operate. Nothing phased Mark he must be a Buddhist or something,deserved my respect I could not take time off from work so I had to trust all would be ok leaving keys with neighbour etc. It must have been a pain to work in cramped space, but no moaning from anyone. They did an efficient thorough job and indeed left my flat tidier than I had left it!I would recommend with confidence South London Heating to any of my friends if required. South London Heating replaced my old boiler in June with a new Worcester Bosch condensing boiler. I found the company on the web, and checked through the reviews on this and another site. After my e-mail inquiry Mark was able to make a prompt appointment, and gave me a very comprehensive and fairly priced quote, rather than the vague and expensive quote that I had from another company. I didn't bother getting more quotes as he gave me the confidence that he would do a good job, and the quote gave a full breakdown, so I could get as good feel that the pricing was fair. The actual fitting was some weeks later, as I had to get some roofing works done first to conform with current gas regulations, but he checked regularly on my progress and when I was ready was able to accommodate me fairly quickly on a day that suited me. He and his team stayed late to complete the work within the day, as he had promised, as there were added complications - finding that they need a flue with two bends in it when they removed the old flue, the fitting of which was not straightforward, and a pipe by the hot water tank that leaked when the system was refilled (a previously botched joint came loose when the new pump was fitted). Before he left Mark gave me full instructions for the heating and hot water controls, and all has been operating smoothly since (though obviously we haven't used the heating much since). His team were friendly and tidied up after, though my wife would say in a blokes' way

Having renovated several houses and encountered many tradesmen, I can highly recommend Mark and his team at South London Heating. He recently installed a new boiler and megaflo system updating the ancient plumbing and bizarre pipework. From the start, with his quote being very competitive, he instilled calm confidence and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. When his team arrived, they were all thoroughly delightful people to have in the house and worked quickly and diligently, making a rather disruptive job no trouble at all. They were happy to take on the extra things that always crop up in these jobs and I am very impressed at the quality of their workmanship. Even their clearing up was exemplary! I located the company on the internet through a recommended trader site and when contacted was given a comprehensive and highly competitive quote at the appointed time. Mark and his team installed my boiler in a day to the specifications given to me. I must mention that I have a good knowledge of central heating systems and am a keen DIY enthusiastic who believes in perfection. The team carried out their tasks to a high standard in a well organised manner, were professional and knew exactly what they were doing at all times. They were also polite and friendly, willing to listen to my needs and left my place tidy and clean. There was a minor tweak in the thermostat a few days later, but Mark attended promptly when contacted and resolved the situation effectively. I shopped around for a few quotes and not only was SLH’s the most competitive but they also seemed the most knowledgeable. My queries were responded to in a timely manner, the team turned up on time and work was carried out to schedule. As I was not going to move into the house straight away Mark from SLH offered to come back at a later date to show me how to operate the system, I contacted Mark about a month later and true to his word he came back and showed me how everything worked. My very old boiler needed replacement. Mark gave me a detailed estimate which I accepted. His team included Luke and Deano who were courteous, efficient and tidy. The new boiler was fitted in one day. Mark kept to his original estimate and through him I have an 8 year manufacturers guarantee. I am very pleased with all the work carried out and can recommend his team without reservation. I have waited this long before recommending Mark as I wanted to make sure the boiler worked satisfactorily in the autumn/winter!!!

Very pleased with the job done, this was a bit of an emergency as the old boiler kept breaking down despite being serviced. Mark called the next day looked at the job, made recommendations and followed up with a very reasonable quote. The job needed to be carried out while my aunt was still in hospital. Very pleased with the standard of work, they even found 2 gas leaks that the service engineer did not fix. Highly recommended. Use this company.

I contacted Mark at South London Heating as I urgently needed a new boiler. Within 24 hours, I had received a prompt call back, a home visit, a written quote and subsequently, a new boiler installed. Mark is very professional, efficient and personable. No issues at all. Highly recommend.

Mark is the owner of South London Heating and did the quote and fitted the boiler and megaflow himself, which was one of the main reasons we chose his company. The other companies that came over sent round representatives or engineers that would not do the actual work. By Mark doing the quote and the work himself it meant there would be no crossed wires and any unforeseen events would be dealt without fuss. Mark was polite, friendly and efficient throughout the process and gave us the best solution to a complicated scenario of all the companies that came over. Excellent work. Highly recommended.

Extremely impressed. Adam broke down the work clearly and made sure I understood his recommendations. The quote was reasonable and clear. The team turned up at 8am and were polite, friendly and careful throughout - my place was left cleaner than when they arrived! When I had a problem with the hot water going to the shower Adam was quick to come round and was able to resolve the issue, despite my house not having a functioning stop cock. Overall would highly recommend Adam and his team.

Living in a mansion block means finding acceptable locations and routes for these services. Mark was willing to take the time to work out the best way, minimising work and cost but also causing minimal disruption to floorboards and decor. Mark and his apprentice did the work within his estimated timescale, turned up on time and left the job tidy. I have no hesitation in recommending this contractor for all types of plumbing and heating works.

My eighteen years old combi came to the end of its life on 6th January and the next morning I contacted South London Heating (which refers to the area covered rather than the size of the company) as Mark Gallagher was known from similar work carried out faultless my Sons house. Changing from a basic to combi required alteration including the feed, flue and a condense pipe, but working late with his associate Luke it was operational on 8th, cosmetic finishing carried out today. There was no increase in the keen price that had been quoted for replacing the boiler in the summer.
