Southgate & Culham Ltd

We have been using Southgate and Culham Ltd for a number of years now to undertake various works at our own home and a rental property. The jobs have varied from minor remedial work, radiator replacement and a full boiler installation. Kevin and Nikki have always been excellent have provided us with reliable service over the years. Would highly recommend them.

I had an oil boiler and a BoilerMate water storage tank, both nearly 30 years old. After visits from five other heating companies and only two quotes received, I invited Southgate & Culham Ltd to quote. From the first meeting, I knew that this company was the best of the bunch. Advice I had before Keith came all suggested a condensing boiler and no storage tank. Keith said they were good for one person living alone in the bungalow which was the situation I was in. However, this is a three-bedroom bungalow and I do have others staying with me from time to time. Not only that, I intend to sell next year, and I didn't want an adverse report from a surveyor. He submitted his quote, which was not the cheapest but I knew he would do a good job. His team arrived on 23rd June and were finished by lunchtime on 26th June. They were very efficient and worked hard to make sure that I had cold water overnight on the first day. The following day, the new water storage tank was installed and I had hot water for a shower. The installation was very efficient, and they explained clearly what was going to happen. The boiler was installed and working on Thursday morning. They provide a friendly and professional service. They cleaned up each day after work. I am 100% happy with the water storage tank and the boiler and will use this company to service the system each year. I thoroughly recommend this company to anyone needing replacement heating systems.

My 22 year old oil boiler needed to be replaced. This was discussed during a visit in February 2019 during which all differences the new condensing boiler would have were pointed out and their consequences. This was very helpful as it enabled me to be fully prepared for the 2-day removal/installation in June 2019. I was able to select the date to suit me. The on-site work was completed on time and to the agreed quotation. My home was left clean, neat and tidy. The old boiler, piping, packaging and other debris were all removed from site. Kevin and Wayne did an excellent job. The new installation is working well and much appreciated. Some minor residual details have just been notified and I have every confidence they will be corrected as I have traded with this company for over 10 years.

The whole installation was carried out and completed very professionally as per quotation. Southgate and Culham arrived on time and were very helpful and considerate throughout the process. Communication was excellent and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company to family and friends in the future.

A very efficient service. Kevin gave us a price which he guaranteed and seemed very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble unlike other companies who found lots of potential problems! Arrived on time, very neat and tidy. Explained the workings of the new boiler to us. I felt confident with them, which to me is of utmost importance.

Southgate and Callum are a family run company that I cannot recommend highly enough. They installed our boiler 6 years ago, and have serviced it, and our gas log fire ever since. They are reliable, efficient, reasonably priced and, quite frankly, a pleasure to have in your home.
