I cannot recommend Andrew and Jaime highly enough. Their expert advice helped us recover a floor ruined by commercial varnish. Their love of wood and understanding of how to get the best out of it to meet your requirements is spot on. They take the time to listen to what you want, recommend possible solutions and then how to elevate it to the next level to allow the beauty of the wood to shine through. They go above and beyond to make sure that every step of the process is explained and that you are completely happy with what they are doing. I was totally confident leaving them full access to the premises when not at home and I could not believe how clean and tidy they left everything when they had finished, even sorting the rubbish into our recycling bins. The quality of workmanship is outstanding, it's been a great investment in our house and the beauty of our floor makes us smile every day!

I called Andrew to look at the floorboards on our Victorian house which are creaky badly cracked and tatty. He measured up the space and then the depth of the floorboards. He explained the existing boards were original and too thin to sand again as they were below his recommended thickness - it’s an old house, I’m guessing they’ve either likely been sanded before or we’re always thin but had underlay carpet etc on them. Knowing he couldn’t do the work himself he then spent time advising me of my options, recommended suppliers and likely pricing. I thought what a nice guy. I will certainly call Andrew if my new flooring needs finishing/sanding/staining and would recommend him to anyone having their floors sanded/repaired/improved.

Thanks very much to Andrew & Finn for a really first class job. We had a similar floor and desired finish a few years back done by a local general decorator, so we’ve got a good direct comparison with the difference a specialist makes. No question the work Strippers have done is far better. The natural colour shines through and the finish is silky smooth. They also handled the tricky bits - sockets fitted into the wooden floor, and the staircase - brilliantly. 100% recommend Strippers, fully worth paying a little more for the quality of finish, the knowledge of different finishes and what works in a given setting/ light, almost dust free during the process and very customer-centric and easy to work with over the week they were with us.

Strippers Flooring are brilliant. From the moment of my enquiry to the end, I can genuinely say they were a pleasure to work with. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail is off the scale. I had no idea how much work and stages went into renovating and finishing a floor. They undertook each stage systematically, clearly had some very high quality equipment to get the floor looking so amazing. The whole process was all done swiftly and as far as I could tell dust free. They never seemed to get in the way of my daily life and we worked around everything really easily and respectfully. I honestly thought it would be a bit of a nightmare getting your floor resanded etc but it was a complete breeze. The final result is amazing and it actually looks like a whole new floor has been laid when it’s just the original floorboards being brought back to life. I imagine by the quality of the finish that the floor will last for a good 10-15 years so worth every penny and I’m glad I didn’t go with some of the cheaper quotes as I really believe in the saying "buy cheap, buy twice”. I am now planning to get them back to do another room.

From our first meeting with Nancy when she came to quote for the job to the preparation of the floors and actual sanding by Andrew and Fin, we have been thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. They have transformed our hallway and study floors from looking very average and tired to absolutely stunning! It is quite a disruption to have people working in your home with lots of equipment, and having to avoid the areas being worked on, but the team made it as painless as possible at all times. They were a pleasure to have around being respectful, friendly and extremely hard working. They arrived promptly each day and worked solidly, dealing with any issues arising without any fuss. They clearly know their trade inside out, which instilled great confidence in us. We could honestly not be happier with the finished result. We would never have believed that our black painted, glue encrusted Victorian floorboards could look this great! At the end, they took time to tell us about the aftercare for our floors, and even provided us with an amazing contraption for cleaning them! Thank you Andrew, Fin and Nancy for an incredible job!

Andrew has completed a renovation of the wood block floors in our hall & lounge. The old, stained, scratched blocks have gone from dingey to fabulous in just 5 days, and given the house a lovely contemporary feel. We were consulted about our requirements at the outset, and all the options/costs explained. Andrew was always punctual and we were happy to let him have a key to the property when we weren't in attendance. Whilst the work was not inexpensive we feel that it was excellent value for money as the quality was superb. Makes us smile every time we enter the house! We would certainly use Strippers for any similar future work and are very happy to recommend.
