Strong Plumbing & Heating

We have used strong’s plumbing services for our plumbing and heating for many years. We decided to get a new bathroom installed and of course we asked Lee. We explained to Lee what we wanted and Lee took over from there. The plan was to have the work done while we were away on holiday. Lee kept us updated with photos etc while we were away. We came back to a clean and tidy house and we was over the moon With the bathroom. I would recommend Lee to anyone as he is a top class plumber. 5 stars all round.

Lee fitted a new boiler etc earlier this year. His workmanship was of such a high standard that I asked him if he could recommend someone that could do a complete revamp of my en-suite. I was so pleased when he said he could do it for me. He guided me on what was required and gave me a verbal quote saying it may vary a bit depending on what was involved once work started. Lee did all of the plumbing, installing a walk in shower etc. He has access to all of the tradesmen that were needed, tiler, plasterer, electrician. flooring etc. They all were brilliant and such nice guys. The finish was really high end far better than anticipated. I would not use anybody else in the future.

I found Lee on the Which Trusted Traders site after some poor experiences with other local central heating companies, and have been delighted with all aspects of his service. Everything he did, from his original advice and quote to carrying out the job efficiently, cheerfully, on time and without mess was excellent, and I can thoroughly recommend him. He even texted me the evening before to let me know the time he would arrive, as well as after completing the job to check I was happy with the results. He and his colleague power-flushed the central heating, fixed all new thermostatic radiator valves, then Lee rewired the central heating and installed a new Hive control, so my system is now working much better. I will be asking Lee back for regular servicing of my boiler, and have already recommended him to a friend

We have been really impressed with Lee. When we asked Lee round for a quote, he really showed a lot of knowledge about our issues in the house. Our house had a lot of plumbing problems. It was a quick turn around on the quote and booked quickly. Lee was flexible as the job took longer than expected but kept us informed on everything. All new tank, piping, moving of current boiler into loft. We now have a very powerful system that works amazingly well. Lee was efficient, tidy and always on time. We even got him back to service our boiler a couple of weeks later. We would not hesitate to get Lee back for more jobs or recommend him to others.

I was recommended to Lee by a neighbor. When he came to give me a quote I was extremely impressed with his extensive knowledge, which gave me great confidence. The job was to take two days. The first day was taken up with power flushing and I was amazed at what came out of my system! Day 2 the boiler, pump, valves etc. were fitted. Lee is a fantastic worker ( loves his tea), his work is so neat and tidy. It's such a joy to have someone who takes so much pride in his work. My invoice was exactly as quoted. Lee is now going to refit my en-suite, I think that says everything.

Lee replaced our heating and water system including replacing and moving the oil tank and boiler. He delivered a complex project to the originally quoted amount without any quibbles over additional things that came up. The work was of a high standard and he was good at minimising disruption and respecting our property, which is listed. He comes highly recommended

Lee fitted a new kitchen sink and repositioned a boiler condensate pipe. His work was of a very high standard. He was professional, polite, friendly and a tidy worker. His prices were competitive. Lee refitted our shower room five years ago so we did not hesitate to use him again for this job. The shower room was beautifully done and we haven’t had any problems with it. "Wet" underfloor heating, expertly installed, & working extremely well. Good advice beforehand & throughout. Dealt without fuss & without further charge when encountering problems with existing heating controls. Testament to the quality of work was that the company laying the floor on top were very impressed. My only slight quibble is that it was difficult getting hold of him before the work started (partly no doubt due to high demand). But overall this was obviously very good quality work & service.

We needed a gas engineer at short notice the week before Christmas to help fit our stove. This required two visits, one to stop gas and then we needed to complete the work top installation before he could come back again. This took slightly longer than we thought but Lee was amazing, super flexible and professional. Lee did what he promised which is a rare thing as I’d already been ghosted by other engineers. He was also reasonably priced and it was great to feel you were in safe hands with something so important to us. No Lee = no Christmas turkey!

Lee went completely over and above all expectations for me when my boiler was broken. We had problems with the heating over the cold snap and he fixed almost immediately for me. I couldn’t be more grateful. Will definitely be asking him to sort out a new boiler and any work needed in the future one hundred percent.

I can highly recommend Lee from Strong Plumbing and Heating. He was punctual, polite, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We experienced issues with our hot water and heating for a number of weeks - the heating was permanently on, the hot water sporadic and the boiler tripped repeatedly. Two engineer visits from a rival firm failed to diagnose the issue correctly. Having replaced various parts without resolution, we were told the boiler needed to be replaced as the parts were obsolete. We called Strong Plumbing and Heating initially for a boiler quote but Lee took the time to understand the issues we had been experiencing. Within minutes, he was able to ascertain that the problem was with the electrical wiring of the valve rather than the boiler itself, and he was able to resolve the issue without the need to replace the boiler. We are so grateful to Lee at Strong Plumbing and Heating. He will be our first port of call for any future heating issues.

Lee installed a new Worcester Bosch Boiler, carried out a full chemical power flush, fitted new central heating pump and valves, installed a smart heating control plus other required devices. He provided a detailed estimate for the work and it was all completed on schedule and within budget. All the work was carried out to a very high standard. I have recently bought a 1950's house that did not have gas-connected and old-style storage heaters. When Lee came round he talked me through the whole process and made great recommendations on boiler and radiators sourcing all of these. He had to take up the carpets and flooring to install all the new pipework to connect radiators and install boiler. He removed old hot water tanks and disposed of them. He completed the work when I was on holiday and sent pictures to me each day to show me the progress of the job, which was very reassuring. I expected to come back to a mess but Lee had cleaned up really well and left everything very tidy. I would highly recommend him, very friendly, turned up on time, great communication and great price.

New extension, Lee was introduced to us by our builder, he repositioned and supplied a new boiler, sourced and put new radiators in the extension and old part of the house, put a new en-suite in, new bathroom and new cloakroom, he's a very pleasant man, he even suggested certain things to us we'd not thought of, he turned up when he said he would and always kept in touch with you he worked for us for a few months and nothing was too much trouble for him he also fitted my washing machine dishwasher, quooker and water softener. I would highly recommend Lee, he also cleans up after doing the work. Lee recently installed a Worcester Bosch Boiler, Rads and converted our heating to an unvented system. All work was very neat and tidy and carried out to a very high standard. The work was carried out on time and within budget. Lee was very helpful and knowledgeable, I would have no problem recommending Strong Heating and Plumbing to anyone.

Lee Strong was recommended by a neighbour and having seen his work asked him to come and see me. I was interested in changing my hot water tank and mass of pipes for an Unvented cylinder but had several questions before making a final decision. Lee explained everything and during this period I gained complete trust in him. Not a decision I usually make in haste. I did get another quote which was a slightly less but having discussed with Lee he agreed to match. Lee and his assistant arrived on time and just before we were due to go away for a few days. He immediately put floor covering down, including the stairs, having first taken his shoes off, which he always did. When we returned we found everything working and very tidy. A great job. I have no hesitation in recommending this company and will certainly have my boiler replaced by them when the time comes.

We have used a couple of plumbers in Berkhamsted and asked for quotes to replace our old boiler. None came back after a while so my wife found Lee in trusted traders. He made an appointment to come round, was on time and understood what needed doing, he also added a couple of suggestions that made complete sense to me. He explained things very well. We had a quote 2 days later which laid out all the work to be done and was a reasonable price. A date was agreed and Lee turned up along with all the parts - he didn't have to go out to get any parts as its often the case. He and his assistant carried out the work in a very organised manner and explanations were given as to what they were doing. They were both tidy, worked efficiently, didn't spend time on mobile phones all the time like some plumbers I know and completed the job within the day. Lee checked that everything was working and handed over to us. My wife and I were very impressed by the professionalism shown by Lee and his colleague and would highly recommend Strong plumbing and heating.

Lee fitted a new Worcester boiler for us. We were very impressed with his professionalism and the time he took to explain everything to us, nothing was too much trouble. He works in a very tidy way and was respectful of our home. Lovely to deal with someone who takes so much pride in their work.

Lee carried out a powerflush of my central heating system which took about 6 hours. This was the first time I have met Lee. He turned up on time, his van was clean and in good condition, he was polite, he removed his outdoor shoes and kept every room spotlessly clean throughout the day. Lee and his team successfully installed a CH system, and it was done courteously and efficiently. They were very communicative throughout the process and polite. All very smooth, no problems, so recommended!

Firstly, Lee and his colleague did a really great job. My new boiler was fitted in a day and the finish was really neat and tidy – and the new boiler makes a huge difference to how quickly & efficiently my house heats up. We had agreed to a date and he stuck to it. But perhaps even more important in this year of Covid 19, he was careful to wear a mask when entering/working in the house and respected a good social distance at all times. Lee removed our old Baxi boiler from our living room and replaced it with a new combi boiler in the loft. At the same time, he refitted our family bathroom. This was a lot of work to be having done in one go but Lee worked with us to make it manageable and was flexible throughout. Lee had done work on our heating system previously, and when our boiler pump started to make a lot of noise, we rang to see if he could come to have a look at it. Because of the lockdown, we imagined that we'd have to wait for some time, but Lee managed to fit in an inspection visit within a few days, explained what was wrong, ordered a new pump and came round to fit it as soon as it arrived from the warehouse. He is extremely pleasant, explains everything clearly and works efficiently. Strong's were very prompt in giving a quote, a lot cheaper for the exact same work, materials, labour and Worcester boiler that British Gas, very quick from quote to start date. Strong's where very efficient, tidy and clean from the rip out to install, excellent new pipe work, easy and simple to use Nest thermostat, also with service and 10 year warranty, and one on one training on how to use the new system. I will most certainly be recommending Strong Plumbing and Heating in the future, 5 star service.

I called Lee out as an emergency; in the middle of the coronavirus lockdown by the way. He came within 24 hours reconnected my gas supply and carried out a boiler service. He also provided me with a new Carbon Monoxide detector (the root of my original problem) and advised me as to what do do in case of an emergency in the future. Extremely pleasant and helpful chap, highly recommended.

Lee exchanged our old boiler for a new Worcester Bosch model and also replaced the timer, thermostat and other minor parts in the heating system which he identified as advisable. Lee came promptly on a Saturday morning to assess our requirements - he gave us his recommendations and explained everything in easy to understand terms. The quote was supplied promptly and he arranged to do the work within a couple of weeks. The work was undertaken on the date booked and completed in one day - was exactly as expected and to budget. We asked Lee to come round and estimate the cost of fitting a combi boiler and a couple of replacement radiators.We were very impressed from the start with his knowledge of the Heating installation we wanted doing He suggested when the heating hot water cylinder is removed the new boiler would fit nicely at the back of the airing cupboard leaving plenty of room to air the clothes. He explained every thing he was going to do. Like turning the water off and on carpet turned back floorboards taken up.This worked very well for both parties.Lee was very polite and honest.All work came within budget with a little bonus of fitting shelves in the airing cupboard. We are having him back later to install a power shower.

Where to start, we had lee in to do some work on our central heating system and couldn’t have been more impressed. It was so refreshing to have someone working in our home that we felt totally comfortable with and could trust.
