As a HETAS approved member of the 'Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps' we have been professionally trained and assessed in all aspects of solid fuel. SweepSmart has passed the vigorous assessments needed to become a 'Which? trusted trader' and have achieved the rank of Master Sweep with the Guild.

The appointment was easy to make and I was given full instructions on COVID precautions. Paul sent a text to let me know he was on his way. He arrived at the time expected and then completed the chimney sweep efficiently, making sure he protected my carpets from soot damage. He cleared up and then emailed me the invoice and certificate. I would have no problem recommending him.

Best ever - I use him every year. He’s friendly, efficient, very reasonably priced, always on time. I can’t praise him enough. No mess at all - he leaves my fireplace cleaner than he found it. Don’t forget to look at the brush coming out of your chimney for a year’s good luck!

I would definitely recommend this company. Paul was on time ( text to let us know on the way 15 minutes before) . He completed the job efficiently and the house was left immaculate. Excellent service. Punctual, professional, friendly , knowledgeable, informative and adhered to covid-19 guidelines, Thank you. Put dust sheets down, left the room as he got it, so no cleaning up👍. Received invoice and certificate by email very promptly. This in the second year I have used this company, they sent me an email to remind me the chimney was due to be swept, very grateful for this. A very efficient and thorough service from booking through to completion of the work and at a very reasonable cost. We were particularly impressed by the safety precautions requested of us in advance bearing in mind COVID and the distancing kept by Paul when carrying out the work. Would definitely ask him to do our chimney sweep again (he has done this previously) and be happy to recommend him to our friends and others.

I have used Paul’s services to sweep my chimney over the last few years and have been really pleased with the service. He’s really friendly and knowledgeable and provides great advice - I was considering capping some disused stacks and he talked through all the issues. You would not know he’s been as he’s really careful at cleaning up and how he moves through the house. Great value for money and superb service. Would not consider using anyone else.

I purchased a house with a log burner in it a year ago. The previous owners recommended Paul on the paperwork they left so it made sense to give him a call. I found Paul very tidy, thorough, with good advice. Very easy to book and communicate with and he was very punctual. Left the fire very tidy and laid down carpet protection. Will definitely be using again.

As soon as Paul and his dad arrived they immediately got down to work. They were meticulous in covering the floors and all areas surrounding the fireplaces to keep everything free from dirt. It was good to meet someone who knows their trade and is more than willing to answer questions and give advice. Four fireplaces were cleaned, smoke tested and 2 draught excluders (chimellas) installed in 2 hours. Very impressed with the service, will use them again and I would definitely recommend them.

An excellent job from start to finish, Paul not only swept our coal fire chimney and our wood burner chimney, he also gave helpful advice on types of fuel, how often to clean and carbon monoxide alarms. Polite, tidy and efficient. I would definitely recommend SweepSmart.
