Relocating some of the panels has also boosted performance which, happily, I am now able to monitor with the new system installed. The work was carried out thoroughly and professionally with great attention to detail, and was completed as scheduled. I was kept informed of progress throughout. We had a problem with the system monitoring our solar panels. I contacted Techfor Energy who quickly assessed the problem and then devised and installed an ethernet based system which provides reliable monitoring. I was most impressed with their expertise and their approach to the job. All components were carefully checked and the system tested before signing off. We first spoke to Techfor Energy as they were the only company locally to offer solar panels together with Tesla battery walls to store our energy. They were clearly experts in this field and the thorough survey gave us further confidence in their abilities. The installation team was also very impressive. I would highly recommend this company and everyone should have solar panels!

We were quoted 1-2 days for fitting but as we had 3 roofs and wanted anti bird mesh we expected that it would take longer. But the whole work was completed in 2 days. Not only did the team complete what was quoted for but during the fitting they found 4 cracked roof tiles which they replaced from my stock - our roofs were fitted originally in 1960 and hadn't been inspected since. Also the scaffolders used were very quick and efficient. We found TechforEnergy a very efficient company.

Our initial survey and chat with Glenn was very informative and he explained all the options very clearly. They then fitted us in before the FIT Tariff cut off date and completed the job in the 2 days as estimated. They also helped us find someone to provide an updated EPC in the timescales required. Overall very impressed with the service provided and looking forward to the next stage of the project when we get a battery to store our solar energy fitted. From start to finish they were AMAZING. The initial survey was extremely professional and detailed. It resulted in a very in-depth, reasonable Quote with no Jargon or mumbo jumbo around our options When ordered the delivery and installation date was confirmed sharpish. The installation was fantastic with an incredible team of hard working chaps who wasted no time in getting the job done. They were extremely diligent and polite with no hassle at all to my day working from home. On top of this the system works a treat Fantastic company with legendary service.

In every respect, I found this a good experience with the Techfor team. The project was discussed together until I was comfortable understanding all aspects before proceeding - I wanted no surprises! Once agreed in concept, communication in terms of timing of the installation (20 panels) was proactive and helpful. As such, this went smoothly and in line with my expectations. The team that did the job were professional and helpful. All questions were answered clearly. No issues. Even the removal of the scaffolding went smoothly (different team). The project was done on schedule and in line with my budget. The stand out service here for me was the consistent pro-active nature of the service by the entire team. They seemed to look at things through my eyes first - before their own! It was overall a novel and refreshing experience.

Tech4energy was recommended to me by my neighbour who had a solar pv system fitted by them. I contacted them and Glen came out and did a thorough survey, and gave advice as to what would be the best system for us. We wanted to be able to go off grid as much as possible. Heat our water, charge EVs, and store excess energy. So quote accepted, we went ahead. The install team were polite, friendly, and professional. 100% happy! We achieve everything we want from our system. So when the sun shines we can heat our water ( A new water cylinder with bottom fed immersion heater required). Charge the Tesla powerwall battery, and charge an EV. A Zappi charger allows fast charging off the grid and a slower charge from solar energy. On a cloudy day, obviously energy production is less. 5kw/h on a sunny summer day max. 0.5 to 1.5 kw/h on a cloudy day. We can still run the house and charge the battery, and some water heating. Not enough for an EV charge. Winter time will be less obviously. So far in 6 weeks we have not used any energy from the grid. We use the battery at night and morning until the sun does its job. We are on Intelligent Octopus for off peak energy at night 7p/kw/h, so we can charge an EV cheap rate if we need to. Outgoing octopus for exported energy. 15p/kw/h. Glen advised us on all of the above, and we are extremely happy. Thanks Glen. One of the best things we have spent our money on. I highly recommend Tech4energy to anybody thinking of having a solar pv system fitted.

We have been very impressed by the service and workmanship provided by Glenn Ashby and his team at Techfor Energy. Glenn is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced in this area. He carried out a thorough survey and explained his suggestions and our options very clearly. The quote was comprehensive and competitive (something to be aware of when comparing with other people for example, one of the competitor’s quotes did not include the cost of scaffolding whereas Glenn’s did). The fitting team were totally professional and unfailingly polite and respectful of us and our property. At the peak of the work they were on the roof and in the loft, kitchen and garage but were still considerate. Since having the system fitted and switching to a suitable tariff, we have used hardly any full-price electricity. In winter, the house battery and car (plug-in hybrid) charged overnight on cheap power; with sunnier days now, the charging mainly happens with solar power. In 2023 & ’24 our electricity cost £168 per month on average for January and February; this year we paid £42 per month for those months. No doubt this will be even better as we move into summer.

Excellent company, I have worked with Techfor Energy twice. They installed my first solar system in 2013 and I have been so pleased with it that I asked them to upgrade and augment the system in 2023. After a thorough survey (not a sales pitch) I went with Glenns advice and now have a system that charges my car, heats my water and a Tesla power wall that stores excess for overnight use with green energy I am still exporting to the grid and Glen has taken the time to follow up to ensure the system is working to its optimum output. The quote was detailed and easy to understand. The team were very polite, professional and efficient. always on time and tidy. They have also been available for rare after sales queries. I am delighted with my seamless system. Completely off grid for most of the year I have already had my 1st off grid week in January. I fitted my first solar and Tesla battery system back in 2018. I was sufficiently impressed with the survey, installation and after sales service and support that I received from Techfor Energy - I fitting a second system a year later at another property. The second system was at my home address and with the purchase of a fully electric car I achieve extra benefit when surplus energy produced goes to charging the car. Now that is what I call saving the planet. Now six years on from the first installation I am getting fast and helpful advise from the Techfor Energy team whenever I have a question. That type of aftercare service is hard to find these days.

Another outstanding interaction with Tech for energy. They installed my solar system and a Tesla Powerwall at the end of last year which I am very pleased with. Glenn wanted to make sure that I was getting the maximum benefit from my system. He knows the energy market and the tech very well and took the time this month to follow up on my system and guide me through adjusting the settings on my battery to mine maximum value from the market. I now charge my battery at cheep rates when the battery has forecast dull weather the coming day and (the battery) leaves it to the sun if the forecast is for sun. This is my second system from Tech for Energy. I had a 4KW system for 10 years in my previous home which never had a problem and gave me payback in 6-7 years (FIT Scheme) So I went to Glen again when I moved and now have a 5.6KW System using newer high efficiency panels and a Tesla Battery. The system is working great and on a sunny day I am getting enough Solar to charge the battery and run the house (nothing from the grid). This is at the end of November! TechFor Energy offered a very thorough service from the moment I first contacted them. Ultimately I was very happy I chose this company to undertake the work and if I would recommend them on that basis. From the initial site survey to the in-depth survey report to the installation all potential issues where highlighted in advanced and corresponding actions taken accordingly meaning we had no surprises after.

Techfor Energy installed my 4kW solar system in February 2013. I had considered 3 other suppliers but was impressed with the approach that Glenn Ashby took in carrying out a professional assessment of the overall requirements. As a now retired mechanical engineer myself, it was immediately obvious that Glenn was competent and very knowledgeable of his subject. Glenn made recommendations that no other supplier had suggested such as the fitting of Sister Rafters and also the inclusion of an Immersion water heating unit which was a wise investment. The installation was seamless and carried out efficiently and competently on a day when the weather was not at its best. The system has performed in excess of the original estimates and only recently did a problem arise that was initially thought to be a fault with the inverter. Techfor Energy sourced a replacement and sent an engineer to fit it only to discover that the problem was in fact due to a failure of the immersion heater. Despite the fault being no way connected with the solar installation, Techfor energy made no charge for their time and I thank Glenn Ashby for his generosity in this matter. I am sure that other companies would have small print resulting in a different outcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending Techfor Energy and am confident that the professionalism of Glen Ashby and his team are as good as it gets.

Installation was done efficiently and quickly over just one day, the whole process took about one month from start to finish. Tech for energy was consistently helpful and pleasant to deal with, particularly with the paperwork and explaining the processes and possibilities. We are delighted with the installation.
